  • Is it possible to use .ASPXAUTH for my own logging system?

    For a web application I switched from using ASP.NET Membership to using my own log in system which just does something like this to mark a user as logged in: Session["UserId"] = User.Id Is it possible to store the user id in the ASPXAUTH cookie, piggybacking on its encryption, instead of using the standard session? The goal is for the logged in state to last longer than a session and survive both browser and server restarts.

    hello, i want to add in my settings.py a declaration like: LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='^private_profile/(?P<id>\d+)/$' #or LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='/accounts/private_profile/id/' so that when the user with the id 1, for example,is logging in, he will be redirected to LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='/accounts/private_profile/1/' but both alternatives, LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='^private_profile/(?P<id>\d+)/$' #or LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL='/accounts/private_profile/id/' are wrong, because in my browser i don't see the current user id, where am i wrong?   • Add Access-Control-Allow-Origin to header in PHP

    I am trying to workaround CORS restriction on a WebGL application. I have a Web Service which resolves URL and returns images. Since this web service is not CORS enabled, I can't use the returned images as textures. I was planning to: Write a PHP script to handle image requests Image requests would be sent through the query string as a url parameter The PHP Script will: Call the web service with the query string url Fetch the image response (web service returns a content-type:image response) Add the CORS header (Add Access-Control-Allow-Origin) to the response Send the response to the browser I tried to implement this using a variety of techniques including CURL, HTTPResponse, plain var_dump etc. but got stuck at some point in each. So I have 2 questions: Is the approach good enough? Considering the approach is good enough: I made the most progress with CURL. I could get the image header and data with: $ch = curl_init(); $url = $_GET["url"]; curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, array('Content-Type:image/jpeg')); //Execute request $response = curl_exec($ch); //get the default response headers $headers = curl_getinfo($ch); //close connection curl_close($ch); But this doesn't actually change set the response content-type to image/jpeg. It dumps the header + response into a new response of content-type text/html and display the header and the image BLOB data in the browser. How do I get it to send the response in the format I want?   • Empty white space between the 2 images

    I have placed 2 images side by side in a div besides input box "Search by Contact". In the browser I find there is a gap between the 2nd image(Button T) and the one on its left.     I know this is a simple question, but I haven't had the chance to test it in any browser other than Firefox. If I attach multiple event handlers to a single event on a single DOM element, are the event handlers guaranteed to be called in the order they were added? Or should I not rely on this behavior?

    I'm looking for a way to sanitize input that I paste into the browser, is this possible to do with jQuery? I've managed to come up with this so far: $(this).live(pasteEventName, function(e) { // this is where i would like to sanitize my input return false; } Unfortunately my development has come to a screeching hold because of this "minor" issue.     Hi , i am doing one small application , wheich have login functionality, in the user table am maintaining the AVAILABLE status for the logged USER, example : i have three user called foo1,foo2,foo3 , When foo1 logged then his AVAILABLE STATUS WILL UPDATE AS 1 IN THE USERTABLE, if he logged out then his AVAILABLE STATUS goes to 0, like the foo2, and foo3 , for this available status flasg , amsimply using the update operation ..no other big functionality , Now What i want is, If somthing happened when user logged in , then i want to make the available status as 0, Somthing means , I WANT TO CHANGE THE AVAILABLE STATUS TO 0 , WHEN system CRASH OR browser crash Thanks Bharanikumar

    I'm using simple code: import urllib2 response = urllib2.urlopen("http://www.mysite.com/getfile/4355") output = open('myfile.zip','wb') output.write(response.read()) output.close() The web-server is IIS + ASP.NET MVC 4 It returns FileResult wrapping a zip-file with "application/octet-stream" content-type. The problem is that downloaded zip file is broken - only 4.1kB size, where it must be 24kB. When I type the url adress in web-browser directly - it downloads and opens fine. Could you please, suggest, what's wrong with my Python code?

Should I expect the Temporary Internet Files folder to be empty after clearing the cache? (it isn't) If not then what is the simplest way to determine whether the browser is using its cache when accessing a site?

Is there a reliable way of determining that without asking them assuming that I can visit the website in question in my browser? This might seem simple, but I wasn't able to find this information online. I would think that the lack of viewstate related stuff in the HTML source and the noun-verb URL structure would be good indicators. Are there any other indicators?

    Hi, I am trying to call an Activity from another instance of the activity. The code is supposed to be a simple file browser (part of a larger application). I am using a ListActivity, and when an item (such as a folder) is selected, it is supposed to open it up in the new Activity. The correct 404 status code is sent, but the browser shows a blank page and the access log shows "GET /invalid-url/ HTTP/1.1" 404 - Can anyone tell me how to make ErrorDocument work with Apache URL rewrites?
