  • XAML | When used XamlReader.Parse, not able to refer the items using the LogicalTreeHelper/VisualTre

    - by Roopesh
    Hi, I am setting the dynamic xaml (I am reading the xaml from the DB) for the content of a tab using the below statement. Tab.Content = XamlReader.Parse(xaml, ctx) After setting the content, if I try getting the children using the VisualTreeHelper, but I am not able to get. How ever I dont have this issue when I construct the xaml statically. Here is the code to reading the xaml. Dim XmlDocument = New XmlDataDocument() Dim IID As String = Nothing Dim xaml As String = Nothing Dim Tab As New TabItem Dim TempPanel As XmlNode = Nothing 'Tab.Height = 0 Try XmlDocument.Load(Directory.GetCurrentDirectory & "\Xml\AppFile.xml") pXmlDoc = XmlDocument xaml = XmlDocument.SelectSingleNode("//Grid").OuterXml Dim AsmName As String = System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().GetName().Name Dim ctx As ParserContext = New ParserContext() ' New ParserContext() ctx.XamlTypeMapper = New XamlTypeMapper(New String() {AsmName}) ctx.XamlTypeMapper.AddMappingProcessingInstruction("src", "WpfToolkitDataGridTester", AsmName) ctx.XmlnsDictionary.Add("", "http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation") ctx.XmlnsDictionary.Add("x", "http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml") ctx.XmlnsDictionary.Add("src", "clr-namespace:WpfToolkitDataGridTester;assembly=" + AsmName) Tab.Name = "Tab" & Grid1Tab.Items.Count + 1 Tab.Header = "AppFile-1" Tab.BorderThickness = New Thickness(0) Tab.IsSelected = True Tab.Content = XamlReader.Parse(xaml, ctx) Grid1Tab.Items.Add(Tab) Return True Catch ex As Exception Throw End Try Here is the code to access the item after constructing the XAML. For i As Integer = 0 To VisualTreeHelper.GetChildrenCount(myVisual) - 1 Dim childVisual As Visual = CType(VisualTreeHelper.GetChild(myVisual, i), Visual) Select Case childVisual.DependencyObjectType.Name Case "ComboBox" AddHandler CType(childVisual, ComboBox).SelectionChanged, AddressOf ComboBox_SelectChanged Case "CheckBox" AddHandler CType(childVisual, CheckBox).Checked, AddressOf CheckBoxClicked AddHandler CType(childVisual, CheckBox).Unchecked, AddressOf CheckBoxClicked Case "RadioButton" AddHandler CType(childVisual, RadioButton).Checked, AddressOf CheckBoxClicked Case "TabControl" For Each item As System.Windows.Controls.TabItem In CType(childVisual, TabControl).Items EnumVisual(item.Content) Next End Select EnumVisual(childVisual) Next i any help is highly appreciated. Thanks,

  • Using custom std::set comparator

    - by Omry
    I am trying to change the default order of the items in a set of integers to be lexicographic instead of numeric, and I can't get the following to compile with g++: file.cpp: bool lex_compare(const int64_t &a, const int64_t &b) { stringstream s1,s2; s1 << a; s2 << b; return s1.str() < s2.str(); } void foo() { set<int64_t, lex_compare> > s; s.insert(1); ... } I get the following error: error: type/value mismatch at argument 2 in template parameter list for ‘template<class _Key, class _Compare, class _Alloc> class std::set’ error: expected a type, got ‘lex_compare’ what am I doing wrong?

  • Facebook, iframe app, fb:request-form, action attribute problem

    - by Unreality
    Hi all, I'm making a facebook iframe application I'm making a request form with my own form data. What should I do in order to process the data? If I put action="http://apps.facebook.com/[appName]/abc.php" , i.e. <fb:serverfbml> <script type="text/fbml"> <fb:fbml> <fb:request-form action="http://apps.facebook.com/[appName]/abc.php" method="post" type="abc" content="abc"> <textarea name="pm" fb_protected="true" ></textarea> <fb:multi-friend-selector showborder="false" max="35" actiontext="test" email_invite="true" bypass="cancel" /> </fb:request-form> </fb:fbml> </script> </fb:serverfbml> Then the result is funny... A facebook page inside the facebook app's iframe ! but if I put action="http://[my own domain / facebook connect url]/abc.php" , i.e. <fb:serverfbml> <script type="text/fbml"> <fb:fbml> <fb:request-form action="http://[my own domain / facebook connect url]/abc.php" method="post" type="abc" content="abc"> <textarea name="pm" fb_protected="true" ></textarea> <fb:multi-friend-selector showborder="false" max="35" actiontext="test" email_invite="true" bypass="cancel" /> </fb:request-form> </fb:fbml> </script> </fb:serverfbml> Then the result page will be rendered WITHOUT facebook template (that means losing all top facebook banner and bottom facebook bar like the facebook chats etc) Anyone knows what's wrong? Thanks a lot for reading

  • Deleting multiple records in ASP.NET MVC using jqGrid

    - by Tevin
    How can you enable multiple selection in a jqGrid, and also allow users to delete all of the selected rows using an ASP.NET MVC controller? I have set the delete url property to my /Controller/Delete method, and this works fine if one record is selected. However, if multiple records are selected, it attempts to send a null value back to the controller where an integer id is required.

  • Python: nonblocking read from stdout of threaded subprocess

    - by sberry2A
    I have a script (worker.py) that prints unbuffered output in the form... 1 2 3 . . . n where n is some constant number of iterations a loop in this script will make. In another script (service_controller.py) I start a number of threads, each of which starts a subprocess using subprocess.Popen(stdout=subprocess.PIPE, ...); Now, in my main thread (service_controller.py) I want to read the output of each thread's worker.py subprocess and use it to calculate an estimate for the time remaining till completion. I have all of the logic working that reads the stdout from worker.py and determines the last printed number. The problem is that I can not figure out how to do this in a non-blocking way. If I read a constant bufsize then each read will end up waiting for the same data from each of the workers. I have tried numerous ways including using fcntl, select + os.read, etc. What is my best option here? I can post my source if needed, but I figured the explanation describes the problem well enough. Thanks for any help here. EDIT Adding sample code I have a worker that starts a subprocess. class WorkerThread(threading.Thread): def __init__(self): self.completed = 0 self.process = None self.lock = threading.RLock() threading.Thread.__init__(self) def run(self): cmd = ["/path/to/script", "arg1", "arg2"] self.process = subprocess.Popen(cmd, stdout=subprocess.PIPE, bufsize=1, shell=False) #flags = fcntl.fcntl(self.process.stdout, fcntl.F_GETFL) #fcntl.fcntl(self.process.stdout.fileno(), fcntl.F_SETFL, flags | os.O_NONBLOCK) def get_completed(self): self.lock.acquire(); fd = select.select([self.process.stdout.fileno()], [], [], 5)[0] if fd: self.data += os.read(fd, 1) try: self.completed = int(self.data.split("\n")[-2]) except IndexError: pass self.lock.release() return self.completed I then have a ThreadManager. class ThreadManager(): def __init__(self): self.pool = [] self.running = [] self.lock = threading.Lock() def clean_pool(self, pool): for worker in [x for x in pool is not x.isAlive()]: worker.join() pool.remove(worker) del worker return pool def run(self, concurrent=5): while len(self.running) + len(self.pool) > 0: self.clean_pool(self.running) n = min(max(concurrent - len(self.running), 0), len(self.pool)) if n > 0: for worker in self.pool[0:n]: worker.start() self.running.extend(self.pool[0:n]) del self.pool[0:n] time.sleep(.01) for worker in self.running + self.pool: worker.join() and some code to run it. threadManager = ThreadManager() for i in xrange(0, 5): threadManager.pool.append(WorkerThread()) threadManager.run() I have stripped out a log of the other code in hopes to try to pinpoint the issue.

  • XP Deploying issues due to msvcr90.dll trying to load FlsAlloc

    - by Sorin Sbarnea
    I have an application build with VS2008 SP1a (9.0.30729.4148) on Windows 7 x64 that does not want to start under XP. The message is The application failed to initialize properly (0x80000003). Click on OK to terminate the application.. I checked with depends.exe and found that msvcr90.dll does try to load FlsAlloc from KERNEL32.dll - and FlsAlloc is available only starting with Vista. I'm sure it is not used by the application. How to solve the issue? The SxS package is already installed on the target machine - In fact I have all 3 versions of 9.0 SxS (initial release, sp1, and sp1+security patch) Application is compiled with _BIND_TO_CURRENT_VCLIBS_VERSION=1 Also I defined the right target Windows version on stdafx.h #define WINVER 0x0500 #define _WIN32_WINNT 0x0500 Manifest file <assembly xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1" manifestVersion="1.0"> <trustInfo xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v3"> <security> <requestedPrivileges> <requestedExecutionLevel level="asInvoker" uiAccess="false" /> </requestedPrivileges> </security> </trustInfo> <dependency> <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity type="win32" name="Microsoft.VC90.CRT" version="9.0.30729.4148" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b" /> </dependentAssembly> </dependency> <dependency> <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity type="win32" name="Microsoft.VC90.MFC" version="9.0.30729.4148" processorArchitecture="x86" publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b" /> </dependentAssembly> </dependency> </assembly> Result from depends Started "c:\program files\app\app.EXE" (process 0xA0) at address 0x00400000. • Code Golf: Code 39 Bar Code

    - by gwell
    The challenge The shortest code by character count to draw an ASCII representation of a Code 39 bar code. Wikipedia article about Code 39: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_39 Input The input will be a string of legal characters for Code 39 bar codes. This means 43 characters are valid: 0-9 A-Z (space) and -.$/+%. The * character will not appear in the input as it is used as the start and stop characters. Output Each character encoded in Code 39 bar codes have nine elements, five bars and four spaces. Bars will be represented with # characters, and spaces will be represented with the space character. Three of the nine elements will be wide. The narrow elements will be one character wide, and the wide elements will be three characters wide. A inter-character space of a single space should be added between each character pattern. The pattern should be repeated so that the height of the bar code is eight characters high. The start/stop character * (bWbwBwBwb) would be represented like this: # # ### ### # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # ^ ^ ^^ ^ ^ ^ ^^^ | | || | | | ||| narrow bar -+ | || | | | ||| wide space ---+ || | | | ||| narrow bar -----+| | | | ||| narrow space ------+ | | | ||| wide bar --------+ | | ||| narrow space ----------+ | ||| wide bar ------------+ ||| narrow space --------------+|| narrow bar ---------------+| inter-character space ----------------+ The start and stop character * will need to be output at the start and end of the bar code. No quiet space will need to be included before or after the bar code. No check digit will need to be calculated. Full ASCII Code39 encoding is not required, just the standard 43 characters. No text needs to be printed below the ASCII bar code representation to identify the output contents. The character # can be replaced with another character of higher density if wanted. Using the full block character U+2588, would allow the bar code to actually scan when printed. Test cases Input: ABC Output: # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # ### # # ### ### ### # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # ### # # ### ### ### # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # ### # # ### ### ### # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # ### # # ### ### ### # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # ### # # ### ### ### # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # ### # # ### ### ### # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # ### # # ### ### ### # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # ### # # ### ### ### # # # # # ### ### # Input: 1/3 Output: # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # # # # # ### ### # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # # # # # ### ### # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # # # # # ### ### # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # # # # # ### ### # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # # # # # ### ### # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # # # # # ### ### # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # # # # # ### ### # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # ### # # # ### # # # # # ### ### # # # # # ### ### # Input: - $ (minus space dollar) Output: # # ### ### # # # # ### ### # ### # ### # # # # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # # # # ### ### # ### # ### # # # # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # # # # ### ### # ### # ### # # # # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # # # # ### ### # ### # ### # # # # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # # # # ### ### # ### # ### # # # # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # # # # ### ### # ### # ### # # # # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # # # # ### ### # ### # ### # # # # # # # # ### ### # # # ### ### # # # # ### ### # ### # ### # # # # # # # # ### ### # Code count includes input/output (full program).

  • Hibernate/Spring: failed to lazily initialize - no session or session was closed

    - by Niko
    I know something similar has been asked already, but unfortunately I wasn't able to find a reliable answer - even with searching for over 2 days. The basic problem is the same as asked multiple time. I have a simple program with two POJOs Event and User - where a user can have multiple events. @Entity @Table public class Event { private Long id; private String name; private User user; @Column @Id @GeneratedValue public Long getId() {return id;} public void setId(Long id) { this.id = id; } @Column public String getName() {return name;} public void setName(String name) {this.name = name;} @ManyToOne @JoinColumn(name="user_id") public User getUser() {return user;} public void setUser(User user) {this.user = user;} } @Entity @Table public class User { private Long id; private String name; private List events; @Column @Id @GeneratedValue public Long getId() { return id; } public void setId(Long id) { this.id = id; } @Column public String getName() { return name; } public void setName(String name) { this.name = name; } @OneToMany(mappedBy="user", fetch=FetchType.LAZY) public List getEvents() { return events; } public void setEvents(List events) { this.events = events; } } Note: This is a sample project. I really want to use Lazy fetching here. I use spring and hibernate and have a simple basic-db.xml for loading: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"? <beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:aop="http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-3.0.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop/spring-aop-3.0.xsd" <bean id="myDataSource" class="org.apache.commons.dbcp.BasicDataSource" destroy-method="close" scope="thread" <property name="driverClassName" value="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" / <property name="url" value="jdbc:mysql://192.168.1.34:3306/hibernateTest" / <property name="username" value="root" / <property name="password" value="" / <aop:scoped-proxy/ </bean <bean class="org.springframework.beans.factory.config.CustomScopeConfigurer" <property name="scopes" <map <entry key="thread" <bean class="org.springframework.context.support.SimpleThreadScope" / </entry </map </property </bean <bean id="mySessionFactory" class="org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.annotation.AnnotationSessionFactoryBean" scope="thread" <property name="dataSource" ref="myDataSource" / <property name="annotatedClasses" <list <valuedata.model.User</value <valuedata.model.Event</value </list </property <property name="hibernateProperties" <props <prop key="hibernate.dialect"org.hibernate.dialect.MySQLDialect</prop <prop key="hibernate.show_sql"true</prop <prop key="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto"create</prop </props </property <aop:scoped-proxy/ </bean <bean id="myUserDAO" class="data.dao.impl.UserDaoImpl" <property name="sessionFactory" ref="mySessionFactory" / </bean <bean id="myEventDAO" class="data.dao.impl.EventDaoImpl" <property name="sessionFactory" ref="mySessionFactory" / </bean </beans Note: I played around with the CustomScopeConfigurer and SimpleThreadScope, but that didnt change anything. I have a simple dao-impl (only pasting the userDao - the EventDao is pretty much the same - except with out the "listWith" function: public class UserDaoImpl implements UserDao{ private HibernateTemplate hibernateTemplate; public void setSessionFactory(SessionFactory sessionFactory) { this.hibernateTemplate = new HibernateTemplate(sessionFactory); } @SuppressWarnings("unchecked") @Override public List listUser() { return hibernateTemplate.find("from User"); } @Override public void saveUser(User user) { hibernateTemplate.saveOrUpdate(user); } @Override public List listUserWithEvent() { List users = hibernateTemplate.find("from User"); for (User user : users) { System.out.println("LIST : " + user.getName() + ":"); user.getEvents().size(); } return users; } } I am getting the org.hibernate.LazyInitializationException - failed to lazily initialize a collection of role: data.model.User.events, no session or session was closed at the line with user.getEvents().size(); And last but not least here is the Test class I use: public class HibernateTest { public static void main(String[] args) { ClassPathXmlApplicationContext ac = new ClassPathXmlApplicationContext("basic-db.xml"); UserDao udao = (UserDao) ac.getBean("myUserDAO"); EventDao edao = (EventDao) ac.getBean("myEventDAO"); System.out.println("New user..."); User user = new User(); user.setName("test"); Event event1 = new Event(); event1.setName("Birthday1"); event1.setUser(user); Event event2 = new Event(); event2.setName("Birthday2"); event2.setUser(user); udao.saveUser(user); edao.saveEvent(event1); edao.saveEvent(event2); List users = udao.listUserWithEvent(); System.out.println("Events for users"); for (User u : users) { System.out.println(u.getId() + ":" + u.getName() + " --"); for (Event e : u.getEvents()) { System.out.println("\t" + e.getId() + ":" + e.getName()); } } ((ConfigurableApplicationContext)ac).close(); } } and here is the Exception I get: 1621 [main] ERROR org.hibernate.LazyInitializationException - failed to lazily initialize a collection of role: data.model.User.events, no session or session was closed org.hibernate.LazyInitializationException: failed to lazily initialize a collection of role: data.model.User.events, no session or session was closed at org.hibernate.collection.AbstractPersistentCollection.throwLazyInitializationException(AbstractPersistentCollection.java:380) at org.hibernate.collection.AbstractPersistentCollection.throwLazyInitializationExceptionIfNotConnected(AbstractPersistentCollection.java:372) at org.hibernate.collection.AbstractPersistentCollection.readSize(AbstractPersistentCollection.java:119) at org.hibernate.collection.PersistentBag.size(PersistentBag.java:248) at data.dao.impl.UserDaoImpl.listUserWithEvent(UserDaoImpl.java:38) at HibernateTest.main(HibernateTest.java:44) Exception in thread "main" org.hibernate.LazyInitializationException: failed to lazily initialize a collection of role: data.model.User.events, no session or session was closed at org.hibernate.collection.AbstractPersistentCollection.throwLazyInitializationException(AbstractPersistentCollection.java:380) at org.hibernate.collection.AbstractPersistentCollection.throwLazyInitializationExceptionIfNotConnected(AbstractPersistentCollection.java:372) at org.hibernate.collection.AbstractPersistentCollection.readSize(AbstractPersistentCollection.java:119) at org.hibernate.collection.PersistentBag.size(PersistentBag.java:248) at data.dao.impl.UserDaoImpl.listUserWithEvent(UserDaoImpl.java:38) at HibernateTest.main(HibernateTest.java:44) Things I tried but did not work: assign a threadScope and using beanfactory (I used "request" or "thread" - no difference noticed): // scope stuff Scope threadScope = new SimpleThreadScope(); ConfigurableListableBeanFactory beanFactory = ac.getBeanFactory(); beanFactory.registerScope("request", threadScope); ac.refresh(); ... Setting up a transaction by getting the session object from the deo: ... Transaction tx = ((UserDaoImpl)udao).getSession().beginTransaction(); tx.begin(); users = udao.listUserWithEvent(); ... getting a transaction within the listUserWithEvent() public List listUserWithEvent() { SessionFactory sf = hibernateTemplate.getSessionFactory(); Session s = sf.openSession(); Transaction tx = s.beginTransaction(); tx.begin(); List users = hibernateTemplate.find("from User"); for (User user : users) { System.out.println("LIST : " + user.getName() + ":"); user.getEvents().size(); } tx.commit(); return users; } I am really out of ideas by now. Also, using the listUser or listEvent just work fine.

  • Git for beginners: The definitive practical guide

    - by Adam Davis
    Ok, after seeing this post by PJ Hyett, I have decided to skip to the end and go with git. So what I need is a beginners practical guide to git. "Beginner" being defined as someone who knows how to handle their compiler, understands to some level what a makefile is, and has touched source control without understanding it very well. "Practical" being defined as this person doesn't want to get into great detail regarding what git is doing in the background, and doesn't even care (or know) that it's distributed. Your answers might hint at the possibilities, but try to aim for the beginner that wants to keep a 'main' repository on a 'server' which is backed up and secure, and treat their local repository as merely a 'client' resource. Procedural note: PLEASE pick one and only one of the below topics and answer it clearly and concisely in any given answer. Don't try to jam a bunch of information into one answer. Don't just link to other resources - cut and paste with attribution if copyright allows, otherwise learn it and explain it in your own words (ie, don't make people leave this page to learn a task). Please comment on, or edit, an already existing answer unless your explanation is very different and you think the community is better served with a different explanation rather than altering the existing explanation. So: Installation/Setup How to install git How do you set up git? Try to cover linux, windows, mac, think 'client/server' mindset. Setup GIT Server with Msysgit on Windows How do you create a new project/repository? How do you configure it to ignore files (.obj, .user, etc) that are not really part of the codebase? Working with the code How do you get the latest code? How do you check out code? How do you commit changes? How do you see what's uncommitted, or the status of your current codebase? How do you destroy unwanted commits? How do you compare two revisions of a file, or your current file and a previous revision? How do you see the history of revisions to a file? How do you handle binary files (visio docs, for instance, or compiler environments)? How do you merge files changed at the "same time"? How do you undo (revert or reset) a commit? Tagging, branching, releases, baselines How do you 'mark' 'tag' or 'release' a particular set of revisions for a particular set of files so you can always pull that one later? How do you pull a particular 'release'? How do you branch? How do you merge branches? How do you resolve conflicts and complete the merge? How do you merge parts of one branch into another branch? What is rebasing? How do I track remote branches? How can I create a branch on a remote repository? • How to change theme for AlertDialog.

    - by Min Soo Kim
    Hello everyone, I was wondering if someone could help me out. I am trying to create a custom AlertDialog. In order to do this, I added the following line of code in styles.xml @drawable/color_panel_background color_panel_background.9.png is located in drawable folder. This is also available in Android SDK res folder. The following is the main activity. package com.customdialog; import android.app.Activity; import android.app.AlertDialog; import android.app.Dialog; import android.content.DialogInterface; import android.os.Bundle; public class CustomDialog extends Activity { /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); this.setTheme(R.style.CustomAlertDialog); AlertDialog.Builder builder = new AlertDialog.Builder(this); builder.setMessage("HELLO!"); builder .setCancelable(false) .setPositiveButton("Yes", new DialogInterface.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(DialogInterface dialog, int id) { //MyActivity.this.finish(); } }) .setNegativeButton("No", new DialogInterface.OnClickListener() { public void onClick(DialogInterface dialog, int id) { //dialog.cancel(); } }); AlertDialog alertdialog = builder.create(); alertdialog.show(); } } In order to apply the theme to an AlertDialog, I had to set the theme to the current context. However, I just can't seem to get the app to show customized AlertDialog. Can anyone help me out with this, and thank you very much in advance!

  • WPF - Binding an ObservableCollection Dependency Property within a UserControl

    - by John
    I have a control class DragGrid : Grid { ... } which inherits from the original grid and enables dragging and resizing its child elements. I need to bind a custom DP named WorkItemsProperty to an observable collection of type WorkItem (implements INotifyPropertyChanged). Each element in the grid is bound to a collection item. Whenever the user adds a new item dynamically at runtime (the items cannot be declared in XAML!), or deletes an item from that collection, the WorkItems DP on the DragGrid should be updated, and the children in the grid (where each child represents a WorkItem collection item). My question is how does the DP notify the control about which child element in the grid must be removed, changed ('change' means user dragged an element, or resized it with the mouse) or added, and how would I identify which one of the existing children is the one that needs to be deleted or changed. I understand that this is where the DependencyPropertyChangedCallback comes in. But that only gets called when the DP property is set anew, not when something inside the collection changes (like add, remove item). So in the end, does the DragGrid control somehow need to subscribe to the CollectionChanged event? At what point would I hook up the event handler for that?

  • jQuery input mask length

    - by Tim
    Hey all, I have an input field and I want to limit it to alphanumerical (A-Z, a-z, 0-9) characters only, with a MINIMUM field length of 5, and a maximum length of up to 15 characters total. Does anyone know how I can do this using jQuery? I'm trying to use the jQuery input mask by digitalBush - http://digitalbush.com/projects/masked-input-plugin/ The problem is that UNLESS I enter 15 characters, the field goes blank. If I enter "012345678912345" (15 characters) in the input field then the value is stored and it's fine. But if I enter "12345" as a username, when that input box loses focus its value goes back to being blank. Is there something that I can change in the "definitions" or options somewhere that fixes this? Many thanks for your help :) Tim

  • Cannot resolve TargetName - Silverlight4 C#

    - by Redburn
    I am getting the error Cannot resolve TargetName grdGeneral. What I am trying to do is have a fade out function which accepts a grid and fades the opacity to zero. I have this function called on MouseLeftButtonDown and is loaded after the xaml and form has loaded. Calling the fade out: private void imgNext_MouseLeftButtonDown(object sender, MouseButtonEventArgs e) { fadeOut(grdGeneral); } The fade out function: private void fadeOut(Grid pGrid) { Storyboard stb = new Storyboard(); DoubleAnimation da = new DoubleAnimation(); da.From = 1.0; da.To = 0.0; stb.Duration = new Duration(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(.75)); stb.Children.Add(da); Storyboard.SetTargetName(da, pGrid.Name); Storyboard.SetTargetProperty(da, new PropertyPath(Grid.OpacityProperty)); stb.Begin(); } I have been on a handful of tutorial sites and my code seems to follow the same order. • Message pump in C# Windows service

    - by Pickles
    Hello, I have a Windows Service written in C# that handles all of our external hardware I/O for a kiosk application. One of our new devices is a USB device that comes with an API in a native DLL. I have a proper P/Invoke wrapper class created. However, this API must be initialized with an HWnd to a windows application because it uses the message pump to raise asynchronous events. Besides putting in a request to the hardware manufacturer to provide us with an API that does not depend on a Windows message pump, is there any way to manually instantiate a message pump in a new thread in my Windows Service that I can pass into this API? Do I actually have to create a full Application class, or is there a lower level .NET class that encapsulates a message pump? Thanks

  • MSBuild cannot find SGen when compiling a solution

    - by Jaxidian
    I've looked at several other SGen-related questions on here and either their answers don't apply or their answers don't fix this for me. I have installed several SDKs to fix this issue with no luck. Reference types should not be changed since this is the only place this is a problem. Once suggestion is to put SGen.exe into the C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5 folder, but that's not been done on the box where this is not a problem. In this scenario, SGen.exe actually exists and is right where it's supposed to be, but MSBuild still is having issues with finding it for some reason! Background: We have a NAnt script that automates our builds. In this scenario, NAnt is calling MSBuild and MSBuild is generating the error claiming to be unable to find SGen. The project is .NET 3.5-based. I have my primary dev environment (64-bit Vista Ultimate) where the script works perfectly and I am attempting to duplicate it in a VM (64-bit Win 7 Ultimate). I THINK I have everything to the point where I should be good-to-go but this fails on the Win7 box (works perfectly on the Vista box). I have done some comparisons between the two boxes and they both look identical in this regard, but it still fails. For example, the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework's sdkInstallRootv2.0 value is set to C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\SDK\v2.0 64bit\ on both machines. In both machines, SGen.exe is in that path's bin subdirectory. NAnt Script: <target name="report-installer" depends="fail-if-environment-not-set"> <exec program="MSBuild.exe" basedir="${framework35.directory}"> <arg value="${tools.directory.current}\ReportInstaller\ReportInstaller.sln" /> <arg value="/p:Configuration=${buildconfiguration.current}" /> </exec> </target> The error message I get is this: report-installer: [exec] Microsoft (R) Build Engine Version 3.5.30729.4926 [exec] [Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0.50727.4927] [exec] Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation 2007. Thanks, Teja Edit: I've made a few edits, but I still can't figure out how to do this. My program structure currently - A CustomCell.xib that looks like this - http://img11.imageshack.us/i/customfacilitiescell.png/ A CustomCellController that a subclass of UITableViewCell that has the IBOutlets for the labels and switches from above. Now I have a UIViewController<UITableViewDataSource, UITableViewDelegate> (Say, Screen1Controller) which looks like - http://img189.imageshack.us/i/facilitycontroller.png/ The tableviewcell is being created like this - - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { static NSString *Id= @"CustomFacilitiesCell"; CustomFacilitiesCellController *cell = (CustomFacilitiesCellController *)[tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:Id]; if(cell == nil) { NSArray *nib = [[NSBundle mainBundle] loadNibNamed:@"CustomFacilitiesCell" owner:self options:nil]; for (id oneObject in nib) { if([oneObject isKindOfClass:[CustomFacilitiesCellController class]]) cell = (CustomFacilitiesCellController *) oneObject; } } NSUInteger row = [indexPath row]; CustomFacilitiesCellController *rowData = (CustomFacilitiesCellController *)[self.facilities objectAtIndex:row]; cell.facname.text = rowData.facname.text; cell.FacID.text = rowData.FacID.text; cell.facSwitch = [(CustomFacilitiesCellController *)rowData facSwitch]; UISwitch *temp = cell.facSwitch; [(UISwitch *)[cell facSwitch] addTarget:self action:@selector(facSwitchOptionChanged:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventValueChanged]; cell.facSwitch.on = NO; //cell.facSwitch.enabled = FALSE; cell.accessoryType = UITableViewCellAccessoryNone; return cell; } - (IBAction) facSwitchOptionChanged:(id) sender { int i=0; } In particular, my problem is that the facSwitchOptionChanged() isn't getting called.
