  Hypothetical situation, I have 3 node modules all native, A, B, and C.  A is a utilities module which exposes several functions to javascript through the node interface, in addition it declares/defines a rich set of native structures and functions B is a module which is dependent on data structures and source in A, it exposes some functions to javascript, in addition it declares/defines native structures and functions C is a module which is dependent on data structures and source in A & B, it exploses some functions to javascript, in addition it declares/defines native structures and functions So far when setting up these modules I have a preinstall script to install other dependent includes, but in order to access all of another modules source what is the best way to link to it's share library object (*.node) ? • Where to generate data in an Entity-Component System?

  So I'm making a small game where I generate 2D landscape using perlin noise when the game first loads. I've got it working in a OO way, but want to move over to an ES architecure, and I'm just struggling to work out the right place for the code that does the generation to go? In OO world, I have a World object which gets passes a coordinate value that is used as the seed for the perlin noise, and generates all the points for the land mass when the world is created. I'm thinking I need a World component with a coordinate field on it - that's an easy part. From there - is it right for a component to generate data when it's first initialised (or is that too OO?)? Or should a System be doing that instead, when the game first starts? Or... some other solution I'm not aware of? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

  I'm running 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Kernel 3.2.0-32 w/ GNOME 3.4.2 I perused the prior questions/answers and did not find exactly the same problem, I am concerned that AUTOFSCK, Grub or some other critical event that needs some attention ? Any idea on how to get my video clean during boot? Once I get past the boot screen the video driver/card, etc is performing beautifully !   I have a website and I have kept the structure to be: Website Web Application 1 Web Application 2 Now, I want to access my website at example.com and access web applications using webapp1.example.com or webapp2.example.com; I have a control panel for my domain name from where I have set up a “web forward” to my server. From what I have done, I am getting to see my IP address when I type in domain name. Yes, I have disabled cloaking here! How I would like it to be is, when I access example.com and then navigate to other pages, they should be shown in the address bar, e.g. http://example.com/firstpage.aspx and so forth. Is the structure I have set up a good one?

  Our company has developed a Single Page Application using AngularJS and its routing. Google indexed our site decently with JavaScript but it did not index some pages very well so we have developed an HTML only version. We have followed the Ajax Crawling Specification posted here and have a <meta name='fragment' content='!'> tag and canonical urls. We expect http://www.example.com/foo/bar to be fetched from http://www.example.com/?_escaped_fragment_=/foo/bar. However, we have found out that when we rolled the AJAX specification we now have all pages indexed twice, once with the JavaScript version as http://www.example.com/foo/bar and once with the new version as http://www.example.com/#!/foo/bar. This is harmful to us since it's duplicate content and also mis-representing out site. I have tried looking for similar questions here and in the Google product forum but could not come up with anything.

  We have recently built a new website with a new domain to replace an old website, and on the advice of our IT guys and web dev team have pointed both oldaddress.com's & newaddress.com's a records to the new website. Now, they both share the same google analytics code (UA-12345-1) and as such we have two entries in the Google Analytics dashboard. The problem is I'm still fairly novice with GA and as the reports seem VERY similar (~25k pageviews for each domain), are these figures exclusively for that domain? For example: oldaddress.com 25,400 pageviews newaddress.com 25,600 pageviews Does this mean that in total for this website I have 51,000 pageviews. Hope this is clear enough but let me know if anything needs clarifying. Thanks.

• Second monitor stopped working

  After setting up 11.10 today, I seem to be having problems with my dual monitor set up. It worked without issues in Mint but today after I switched to 11.10 only one monitor seems to function. This seems a little odd to me. During setup both monitors functioned without issue, although they were mirroring each other both monitors but as soon as it booted into Unity my secondary monitor stopped working. I checked under settings-display and the second monitor doesn't seem to even be detected. On the off chance it had something to do with drivers, I upgraded the proprietary drivers to the latest version with zero success. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

  I am on 13.04 and waking from suspend takes me straight to desktop without a password prompt even though it is set to ask for a password in the brightness and lock settings. Also I recently tried to lock my computer,going to the power menu in the top right corner and hitting lock,it does not do anything,I am still on the desktop..(just tried crtl alt l to lock,it does work) but not the way i did it though,but that is not important to me ,I need the password prompt after suspend.. Password prompts works only when booted from a shutdown...

• 12.04 Login gone wrong

  I seem to have a fault in the login procedure somewhere. When I boooted up I found that if I selected Guest I could use the computer. If I selected my administrator account I was taken straight to the terminal. So I opened a guest session, went to user settings, and unlocked my admin account (it accepted the password!), and amended it to show "password None" and automatic login. I now find that when I boot up I am taken straight to the terminal - if I exit terminal I get the login screen - if I select the administrator login I go back to terminal - if i select guest I can use the PC, and if I select mu normal user account I can use the PC. So I cannot login as an administrator - so admin functions such as update are no longer accessible. Sorry to be so long winde but I am stuck. Can anyone suggest anything - I am a beginner with this

I've added a subdomain in my server's panel so that when going to "support.mydomain.com" it redirects to "mydomain.com/support" The problem is that redirection is reflected on the browser's address bar, and I want to make that subdomain work like "base domain". i.e "support.mydomain.com/folder-inside-support" Is it something to be with .htaccess file?

  Just curious about this. Frequently, a lot of gameplay videos from big studios have small subtitled text at the lower part of the screen, reading something like: Pre-Alpha Gameplay -- Footage not Final Game Footage not Final Pre-Alpha, Game here is not final Is there some sort of reason they do this? Is there some sort of legal ramification that they need to go through by adding this? I have especially seen some gameplay vids whose titles are "Alpha x.x.x", yet still, in the video itself, it always something like "footage not final, game may change".
