I'm writing an iPhone web app, and I want to automatically focus a text field when the page is loaded, bringing up the keyboard. The usual Javascript:
input.focus();
doesn't seem to be working. Any ideas?
I want my text box controls to remember previous input and have intellisense, like web control inputs.
Is there a quick, free and easy to implement solution to this?
I have a requirement to have a multiline textbox that accepts any text from any language and stores this into the database for later use.
I am using Linq with ASP .NET 3.5 with a SQL Server 2005 database.
Any/all information you can provide me with is much appreciated :D
I want to put all the data in the resultset into a text file in the same order. Is there any method to get data in all the rows at once and write to a file or have to write it row by row?
First: No, none of the content should be loaded from the web. All content parts are shipped with the main bundle.
I have n images and mass of text (including lists). Instead of building all view parts programmatically in objective-c if was thinking of using an UIWebView and build "only" the HTML dynamically.
Does anything speaks against it?
How does UIWebView work with local content?
Links and resources welcome.
Thanks

Hi there,
I´ve got an jpeg image with text on it (badly scanned document), which is hardly readable. I have already played around with the sharpen filters, contrast, levels and the color replacement tool, with decent success. however my question is, what else can be done order to maximize the texts readablity? the picture is also somewhat noisy. Any help on this one would be greatly apreciated, since I absolutely need the images content.
$(document).ready(function () {
//create the div
var div = $("<div></div>").css("position", "absolute").text("a short message").appendTo("body");
//attach the mousemove event
$("body").bind('mousemove', function(evt) {
div.css({
"left": evt.pageX + "px",
"top": evt.pageY + "px"
});
});
});
what im trying to do is replace a short message with an iframe, what do i do?
Note that I'm not looking for something based on TextBox or RichTextBox. What I'm interested in is a text editing control written from scratch using WPF typography features. Open source would be a plus.
I have an app that creates a new data entry in a sqlite db with several columns. I would like to have a simple share button on the final activity so they can share the results (or even a simple text field) with apps that accept it (email, mms, twitter, etc..).
I did some reading on ContentProviders but the more I read, the more I'm thinking i'm heading down the wrong path. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

So I have a Linux program that runs in a while(true) loop, which waits for user input, process it and print result to stdout.
I want to write a shell script that open this program, feed it lines from a txt file, one line at a time and save the program output for each line to a file.
So I want to know if there is any command for:
- open a program
- send text to a process
- receive output from that program
Many thanks.

font-size: 12px
}
but i have different font size for the selects and the buttons then for plain text.

I have to write 300+ files to a server share on a hourly basis. A quick implementation using CreateText takes approximately 1.4 seconds per file. I know there is a better way to do this, but I am unsure which way is actually the quickest/most efficient; hence my question:
Which text writing class is the most efficient for writing hundreds of small files ( 336 bytes on average ) to a server share?
I want to change the text of the top address bar without reloading, I know the methods window.location.href and window.location.hash, but I want to do it without appending a "#" to the URL.
Is it possible?
I would like to write an address in a text file, which can be read by fscanf and dereferenced by C after reading the pointer. How do I write the address in the file?
