  • Add image gallery to node in Drupal

    - by vian
I'm using Image module for Drupal 6 and the submodule of Image Gallery. Image gallery is identified by taxonomy term of certain vocabulary. What I need is to attach Image Gallery View supplied with Image Gallery to certain node. I am now trying to use Views Attach to do this. But how can I pass an argument of taxonomy term for gallery to the view? Also I added the taxonomy term for gallery to be defined for both images and my node type. Is it ok?

  • Convert wife/husband/partner to a programmer.

    - by Stefan
originally posted by Stefan: How many of you have had the thought of educate your partner and invite him/her to the beautiful world of programming? I once started to give my wife lessons twice a week, It was a competition between me and another programmer, we thought it would be nice to have our wives understand why we work as programmers and also have it as a hobby sitting all night long. Maybe we could get our wives to feel the power too? After a couple of months my wife didn't like the idea any more, it was too hard to understand she thought, same for my friends wife. So now we are thinking of some project that would be too fun for our wives to turn down just to get the spirit up again. It would be nice to hand over a project to my wife, "Can you debug this for me, please? There are some strange error on module xxx." :) Maybe I'm crazy, what do you think?

  • Modularity Java: top level vs. nested classes

    - by an00b
The Java tutorials that I read, like to use nested classes to demonstrate a concept, a feature or use. This led me to initially implement a sample project I created just like that: Lots of nested classes in the main activity class. It works, but now I got a monstrous monolithic .java file. I find it somewhat inconvenient and I now intend to break to multiple .java files/classes. It occurred to me, however, that sometimes there may be reasons not to take classes out of their enclosing class. If so, what are good reasons to keep a module large, considering modularity and ease of maintenance?

  • Preserve data in .net mvc

    - by Wei Ma
I am implementing a search module with result page support paging. The example provided by NerdDinner passes pagenumber as a parameter for the Index action, and the action uses the pagenumber to perform a query each time the user hit a different page number. My problem is that my search take many more criteria such as price, material, model number etc. than just simple pagenumber. Therefore, I would like to preserve the criteria after users' first submission, so that I only have to pass the pagenumber back and forth. Using ViewData is not possible because ViewData get cleared once it is sent to the View. Is there any good way to preserve the criteria data as I wish?

  • cross-user C# mutex

    - by Martin
My app is forced to use a 3rd party module which will blue-screen Windows if two instances are started at the same time on the same machine. To work around the issue, my C# app has a mutex: static Mutex mutex = new Mutex(true, "{MyApp_b9d19f99-b83e-4755-9b11-d204dbd6d096}"); And I check if it's present - and if so I show an error message and close the app: bool IsAnotherInstanceRunning() { if (mutex.WaitOne(TimeSpan.Zero, true)) return (true); else return (false); } The problem is if two users can log in and open the application at the same time, and IsAnotherInstanceRunning() will return false. How do I get around this?

  • From interpeted to native code: "dynamic" languages compiler support

    - by Daniel
First, I am aware that dynamic languages is a term used mainly by a vendor; I am using it just to have a container word to include languages like Perl (a favorite of mine), Python, Tcl, Ruby, PHP and so on. They are interpreted but I am interested here to refer to languages featuring strong capability to support the programmer efficiency and the support for typical constructs of modern interpreted languages My question is: there are dynamic languages can be compiled efficiently in native executable code - typically for Windows platforms? Which ones? Maybe using some third part ad-hoc tools? I am not talking about huge executables carrying with them a full interpreter or some similar tricks nor some smart module able to include its own dependances or some required modules, but a honest, straight, standard, solid executable code. If not, there is some technical reason inhibiting the availability of such a best-of-both-world feature? Thanks! Daniel

  • UrlRewriter.Net with URL with final dot

    - by devio
I want to use UrlRewriter.Net as described in this blog by ScottGu. In the example below, page.aspx should display a page text stored in the database based on the title= URL parameter. After a couple of tweaks the only remaining issue seems to be that a final dot in the URL causes a 404 a sequence of two dots in the URL causes a 400 Windows 7, IIS 7 with Integrated AppPool, VS2008. Looking at the Failed Request Log, it seems that the UrlRewriter module is called after retrieving the request handler. Can these two issues be fixed, or is there a better replacement for UrlRewriter? (A related question only asks about the 404) Edit: This behavior can even be reproduced on SO, so maybe there is no work-around?

  • Python: using a regular expression to match one line of HTML

    - by skylarking
This simple Python method I put together just checks to see if Tomcat is running on one of our servers. import urllib2 import re import sys def tomcat_check(): tomcat_status = urllib2.urlopen('http://10.1.1.20:7880') results = tomcat_status.read() pattern = re.compile('<body>Tomcat is running...</body>',re.M|re.DOTALL) q = pattern.search(results) if q == []: notify_us() else: print ("Tomcat appears to be running") sys.exit() If this line is not found : <body>Tomcat is running...</body> It calls : notify_us() Which uses SMTP to send an email message to myself and another admin that Tomcat is no longer runnning on the server... I have not used the re module in Python before...so I am assuming there is a better way to do this... I am also open to a more graceful solution with Beautiful Soup ... but haven't used that either.. Just trying to keep this as simple as possible...

  • C# Assembly Xna.Framework.dll does not load

    - by jbsnorro
When trying to load Microsoft.Xna.Framework.dll from any project, it throws a FileNotFoundException. The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E), with no innerException. Even the simple code like the following throws that exception: static void Main(string[] args) { Assembly.LoadFile(@"C:\Microsoft.Xna.Framework.dll"); } I run XP x64, but I've set the platform in the configuration manager to x86, because I know it shouldn't(doesn't) work on x64 or Any CPU. I've manually added the dll file to GAC, but that didn't solve the problem. I have also tried the M$ Assembly Binding Log Viewer to see if those logs had any useful information, but they didn't. Everything, the loading etc, was a success according to them. Any suggestions? please?

  • Symfony 1.3 and forms: the password changes when i click on 'Save', why??

    - by user248959
Hi, i have installed sfDoctrineGuardUser and have created this model that inherits sfGuardUser model: Usuario: inheritance: extends: sfGuardUser type: simple columns: nombre_apellidos: string(60) sexo: boolean fecha_nac: date provincia: string(60) localidad: string(255) email_address: string(255) avatar: string(255) avatar_mensajes: string(255) I have also created a module called 'miembros' based on that model. Well, I log normally through sfGuardAuth/signin, then i go to "miembros/edit/id/$id_of_the_member_i_used_to_log_in" and push 'Save' button. Then i logout. If i try to log in again, it says: "The username and/or password is invalid". Later, i have realized that when click 'Save' the value of the field 'password' changes (well its encrypted version). So that is the reason why i can not then log in. But, why the value of the password change when i click on 'Save' ??? Regards Javi

  • Server 2008/Windows 7/Samba Unspecified error 80004005

    - by ancillary
I have a Samba share on a LAN with 2008 PDC/DNS. Smb authenticates with AD and I have several Win7 Machines that can connect fine. I recently added a couple of new computers to the LAN which were imaged the same way (same software, etc.; different hardware so different drivers) as the other machines and they have the same policies set. I can not get the new machines to connect to the samba share no matter what. I am always met with either Unspecified Error 0x80004005 or Network Path not found. I've turned off the firewall; set LANMAN auth to respond to NTLM only/send LM & NTLM responses/use NTLM session security if negotiated in Local Sec Policy SEcurity Options; tried both ip and hostname to connect. SMB log shows that authentication succeeds; but then connection is immediately killed by the client. tcpdump shows nothing remarkable except that when trying to connect from the client via hostname there is an unknown packet type error: ack 201 win 255 NBT Session Packet: Unknown packet type 0xABData: (41 bytes) Here's a couple of lines from that error: 11:18:37.964991 IP 001-client.domain.local.49372 > smb.domain.local.netbios-ssn: P 1670:2146(476) ack 201 win 255 NBT Session Packet: Unknown packet type 0xABData: (41 bytes) [000] AA 46 96 FA D5 99 33 75 0C C4 20 CE 26 42 F3 61 \252F\226\372\325\2313u \014\304 \316&B\363a [010] F0 8C FB 65 18 17 40 A5 DB 42 BB 94 37 53 92 EC \360\214\373e\030\027@\245 \333B\273\2247S\222\354 [020] 55 98 7F C4 AE 3D 6B 10 C4 U\230\177\304\256=k\020 \304 11:18:37.964998 IP smb.domain.local.netbios-ssn > 001-client.domain.local.49372: . ack 2146 win 100 Here's smb.conf just in case (though don't see how if other machines are working fine): [global] workgroup = MYDOMAIN realm = MYDOMAIN.LOCAL server string = domain|smb share interfaces = eth1 security = ADS password server = 192.168.1.3 log level = 2 log file = /var/log/samba/%m.log smb ports = 139 strict locking = no load printers = No local master = No domain master = No wins server = 192.168.1.3 wins support = Yes idmap uid = 500-10000000 idmap gid = 500-10000000 winbind separator = + winbind enum users = Yes winbind enum groups = Yes winbind use default domain = Yes [samba-share1] comment = SMB Share path = /home/share/smb/ valid users = @"MYDOMAIN+Domain Users" admin users = @"MYDOMAIN+Domain Admins" guest ok = no read only = No create mask = 0765 force directory mode = 0777 Any ideas what else I could try or look for? • Open an Access database and run one of its Macros from Excel

    - by sqlnoob
From Excel, I need to open an Access database and run one of the database's macros. I'm using Excel and Access 2007. Here is my code in Excel: Sub accessMacro() Dim appAccess As New Access.Application Set appAccess = Access.Application appAccess.OpenCurrentDatabase "C:\blah.mdb" appAccess.Visible = True appAccess.DoCmd.RunMacro "RunQueries.RunQueries" appAccess.CloseCurrentDatabase End Sub In the Access Database, there is a procedure named RunQueries in a module named RunQueries. Each time I run this, I get the following error: Runtime error '2485': Microsoft Access Office can't find the object 'RunQueries.' I have also tried: appAccess.DoCmd.RunMacro "RunQueries" and I get the same errors message. Any idea how to do this? By the way, I could go into a long explanation about why I need to do this, but let me just say that I've already argued against it, and I have to do it this way (meaning, I have to use Excel as a frontend to open several Access dbs and run their macros).

  • How to import *.pyc file from different version of python?

    - by Almog
Hello, I used python 2.5 and imported a file named "irit.py" from C:\util\Python25\Lib\site-packages directory. This files imports the file "_irit.pyc which is in the same directory. It worked well and did what I wanted. Than, I tried the same thing with python version 2.6.4. "irit.py" which is in C:\util\Python26\Lib\site-packages was imported, but "_irit.pyc" (which is in the same directory of 26, like before) hasn't been found. I got the error message: File "C:\util\Python26\lib\site-packages\irit.py", line 5, in import _irit ImportError: DLL load failed: The specified module could not be found. Can someone help me understand the problem and how to fix it?? Thanks, Almog.

Its ok, i understand the error. But how can i fix it? How can i fix my class to make it work with my desired syntax that?

    I have a form (Quote) with an auto-number ID, on the form at the moment are two subforms that show different items (sub 1 shows partition modules sub 2 shows partition abutments) both forms use the same parts tables to build them. Both forms are linked to the quote form using the ID. All works well until the forms is refreshed or re-loaded, subform 1 shows the module names and quantities and blank spaces for the abutment names but shows the quantiews for the abutments, the reverse of this is shown in the abutments subform 2. When the lists for the variuos types and the detailed parts lists are printed they are correct. This seems to be only a visual problem. All based on Access 2003. Subform 1 SELECT Quote_Modules.ModuleID, Quote_Modules.QuoteID, Quote_Modules.ModuleDescription, Quote_Modules.ModuleQty, Quote.Style, Quote.Trim FROM Quote INNER JOIN Quote_Modules ON Quote.QuoteID=Quote_Modules.QuoteID ORDER BY Quote_Modules.ModuleID; Subform 2 SELECT Quote_Modules.ModuleID, Quote_Modules.QuoteID, Quote_Modules.ModuleDescription, Quote_Modules.ModuleQty, Quote.Style, Quote.Trim FROM Quote INNER JOIN Quote_Modules ON Quote.QuoteID=Quote_Modules.QuoteID ORDER BY Quote_Modules.ModuleID;

How can I get the proper value inside my module functions? The funny thing is, I am able to access $db_url['default'] and $db_url['mydatabase'] etc.. which are defined just two lines above $ge_path in settings.php!

  • How to change a Datasource's username/password at runtime in a J2EE app?

    - by Toto
I've deployed a web-module which connects to the database via a datasource configured in the J2EE application server. Currently, the user/password for the database connection is set in the proper J2EE application server's datasources configuration file. I want to change during runtime the datasource's user/password. (e.g.: implement a new web form in which the user is asked to enter de user/password to be used in the database connection). Is there a standard way to do that in J2EE applications or it depends on the J2EE application server? In this case I'm using Orion application server.
