  I want to add a very simple bit of code to a jsfiddle, but when ever I do it breaks everything else.   This is a wordpress installation, but I think the question is more of a general sql question. First off, my sql skills are not great (I don't even know if I'm following the correct format for illustrating the db).   In the JDBC code, I have the following that is working with SQL Server: CallableStatement stmt = connection.prepareCall("{ call getName() }"); ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery(); if(rs != null) { while(rs.next()) { //do something with rs.getString("name") } } Multiple rows are returned for the above situation. I understand that the use of a cursor is required to loop through the table in Oracle, but is there any way to keep the above code the same and accomplish the same thing? Thanks in advance.

• Hibernate inserting into join table

  I got several entities. Two of them got a many-to-many relation. When I do a bigger operation on these entities it fails with this exception: org.hibernate.exception.ConstraintViolationException: could not insert collection rows: I execute the operation i a @Transactional context. I don't do any explicit flushing i my daos. The flush is triggered by a query. In the queue are 15 elements (all of the same structure). one of them always fails (but it's always a different one (I checked) and always at a different position). What's your opinion?

  So this is interesting, and apparently beyond my SQL skillset. I need to select a particular record where an ID="0003" (or whatever) from either table1 or table2 if table1 doesn't have that record. Then I need to join table1 and table2 on a mutual field they both have (field name is Product_ID) I was playing with all sorts of variations of the following, (no, it doesn't work) but after 2 days of groping through the internet and a big SQL book I still can't figure anything out. • Changing newid() to newsequentialid() on an existing table

  Hi, At the moment we have a number of tables that are using newid() on the primary key. This is causing large amounts of fragmentation. So I would like to change the column to use newsequentialid() instead. I imagine that the existing data will remain quite fragmented but the new data will be less fragmented. This would imply that I should perhaps wait some time before changing the PK index from non-clustered to clustered. My question is, does anyone have experience doing this? Is there anything I have overlooked that I should be careful of?

• Remembering state: content offset and table cell reuse.

  I have a tableview with cells that have a scrollview in them. The scrollview is paged, 2 pages to be exact, and is meant to be able to quickly compare two small blocks of text. I'm trying to find a way to remember what the content offset of the scrollview is. Cell reuse is killing me. I've tried resetting the offset in prepareForReuse or directly in the cellForRowAtIndexPath, but it seems to give me exactly what you'd expect: Randomly offset tablecells after reuse. Anyone have any ideas?

  I am completely stumped. WHERE pid=".$this->db->escape($pid)." LIMIT 1"); } header('location: '.$this->session->userdata('current')); } The purpose of this code is to modify the properties (name, price, currency, url) of a row in the 'items' table (priary key is pid). However, for some reason, allowing this function to run once modifies the name, price, currency and url of ALL entries in the table, regardless of their pid and of the LIMIT 1 thing I tacked on the end of the query. It's as if the last line of the query is being completely ignored. As if this wasn't strance enough, I replaced "$query = $this->db->query(" with an "echo" to see the SQL query being run, and it outputs a query much like I would expect: UPDATE items SET name='newname', price='newprice', currency='newcurrency', url='newurl' WHERE pid='10' LIMIT 1 Copy-pasting this into a MySQL window acts exactly as I want: it modifies the row with the selected pid. What is going on here???
