• In MVC framworks (such as Ruby on Rails), do usually Model spell as singular and controller and view

  I usually see Ruby on Rails books using script/generate model Story name:string link:string which is a singular Story, while when it is controller script/generate controller Stories index then the Story now is Stories, which is plural. Is this a standard on Ruby on Rails? Is it true in other MVC frameworks too, like CakePHP, Symfony, Django, or TurboGears? I see that in the book Rails Space, the controller is also called User, which is the same as the model name, and it is the only exception I see.

• C# or windows equivalent of OS X's Core Data?

• Using pydev with Eclipse on OSX

  I setup PyDev with this path for the python interpreter /System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.5/Python since the one under /usr/bin were alias and Eclipse won't select it. I can run my python script now but cannot run the shell as an external tool. The message I get is variable references empty selection ${resource_loc} Same if I use {container_loc} Any thoughts ? • Is it possible to instantiate a Java Annotation given a Class<? extends Annotation>?

  I have a Class<? extends Annotation> and tried calling newInstance() but Java yelled at me for the obvious reason that I can't instantiate an interface. But I know frameworks like EasyMock are perfectly capable of instantiating interfaces. What would it take to get a completely dumb Annotation instance out of my Class?

  I have a dev project setup in a subfolder on my testing machine and it must stay there. However all the Zend frameworks views are linked to server root. CSS are linked like: <link type="text/css" href="<?php echo $this->baseUrl('/css/frontend.css') ?>" rel="Stylesheet" /> Which must be stayed this way, but it should link to localhost/a/b/c/prj1/css/frontend.css How can I setup a global subdirectory for this?
