  • C# How to execute an application from windows service

    I have window XP 2003 server, which is placed in a room where no one can enter to logon it. for monitoring some applications I created a consol application myServer.exe, which dont have any UI, I want that this application (e.g., myServer.exe) start automatically as window bootup (e.g., before window logon) and I need to do this work using windows service. need your help. (note: please dont suggest me any other solution, I need to use windows service to accompalish this task)

  • How do I use a DataGrid to display the contents of a MDB

    I'm relatively new to .Net 4 and I am creating my FIRST WPF application using a MDB as a backend datasource. I designed my UI. I have a TextField (called Name), a Combobox (called Division) and a DataGrid (called dataGrid1). The only problem I'm having is figuring out how to link my DataGrid to display data from the DataSource. and load the data in the Windows1_Loaded method. Thanks

  • Showing pagination with only single page using will_paginate

    I'm using will_paginate as standard, but it only shows the pagination controls (< 1 2 etc) when there's more than one page to display. Normally, this would be what is wanted, but I want to see the pagination controls (for UI consistency and to get round an annoying CSS quirk in the system I'm working on) even when there's only 1 page to display (showing < 1 ). Is this possible?

Have the super class create all the header component and open the components to the sub class, the sub class will access to component's setText method to update the text? or Have abstract method in super class to create the components, sub class will implement these methods to create the component.   • Why my images are compressed?

    I'm using layout xml file for the UI. But the images are compressed and the qualities have lost in some level. My code is like this: <ImageView android:layout_width="480px" android:layout_height="717px" android:layout_x="0px" android:layout_y="45px" android:scaleType="fitXY" android:src="@drawable/e4" /> The drawable is actually 480x717. What's the problem here? Is it due to the fitXY?

  • Winodws server 2003 Setup

    I work at a university maintaining the computer science department server. I am looking for a more economical way to stream line the set up of student accounts. CS students are granted a Username and password an IIS virtual directory, FTP virtual directory, and a mysql database. Server is running windows server 2003R2 (Possibly migrating to 2008R2) The server is running a domain though no students physically log a terminal into it (No computers are part of my domain.) Creating the account is a manual process. I did right a PHP script to query the Universities AD and copy the information and write it to my AD. I then have to create basically the users home directory. I tried having AD do it but since the user never physically logs in it never creates the directory. Permissions on this folder are set to User - full, Instructors (group) - full, Users (group) - read, IUSER - read. Inside of the users folder their is a "Private" folder with permissions User - full, instructors (group) - full. Next step is IIS I create a virtual directory in the default web site pointed to the users home directory so they have a website. Same goes for FTP virtual directory in the default ftp configuration to allow the users to upload files to their website. Mysql I have to create a user and password then create a mysql scheme (database) full access for the user and full access to the instructors account to be able to access the students database. All of this is done manually and takes me a week to do. The closest description is maybe a shared hosting environment. Is there a better way to do this? Scripting wise, or better structure setup?
