  Hi, I am beginer in SAX and Java. I am tring to read Information from not well formed XML File. When I try to use SAX or DOM Parser then I have this error: The markup in the document following the root element must be well-formed. My XML File looks like this: <format type="filename" t="13241">0;W650;004;AG-Erzgeb</format> <format type="driver" t="123412">001;023</format> ... Can I force SAX or DOM to parse not well-formed XML files? Thank you for your help. Haythem

• Get the position of a div/span tag

  Can someone show me how to get the .top & .left position of a div or span tag when one is not specified? ie: <span id='11a' style='top:55px;' onmouseover="GetPos(this);">stuff</span> <span id='12a' onmouseover="GetPos(this);">stuff</span> In the above, if i do: document.getElementById('11a').style.top The the value of 55px is returned. However if i try that for span '12a', then nothing gets returned. I have a bunch of div/spans on a page that i cannot specify the top/left properties for, but i need to display a div directly under that element. Thanks for lookin :-)

• Override bits of a CSS class while inline?

  I have an html img that is being styled by a CSS class. I would like to override the width and height values used in that class under some circumstances. I'm building this img tag using something called a TagBuilder class, provided by Microsoft for the .Net system, which allows developers to assign attributes to an html element. In this case a CSS class has been assigned to the img tag, and I can assign width and height attributes individually, but they're not taking precedence over the values set in the CSS class. My tag looks like this currently: <img alt="my link" class="static" height="240" id="StaticImage" src="http://imageserver.com/myImage.jpg" width="240"> The static CSS class has width and height values of 300 each, and as you can see I'm trying to override them with 240. It's not working in this instance but can I do it without a second CSS class?

• Cake PHP redirect with parameters in url

  I have a page that I want to redirect to that requires parameters in the URL: http://www.mysite.com/myController/myAction/param1:val1/param2:val2 I know that there is a Cake PHP redirect function for redirecting that works as follows: $this->redirect(array("controller" => "myController", "action" => "myAction", $data_can_be_passed_here), $status, $exit); How do I add the parameters that I want as part of the url using the above function? I would think that there might be another element that I could add to array so that I can pass along "param1:val1" and "param2:val2". Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  If I am walking through an IEnumerable<T>, is there any way to get a new IEnumerable<T> representing the remaining items after the current one. For example, I would like to write an extension method IEnumerator<T>.Remaining(): IEnumerable<int> sequence = ... IEnumerator<int> enumerator = sequence.GetEnumerator(); if (enumerator.MoveNext() && enumerator.MoveNext()) { IEnumerable<int> rest = enumerator.Remaining(); // 'rest' would contain elements in 'sequence' start at the 3rd element } I'm thinking of the collection of a sort of singly-linked list, so there should be a way to represent any remaining elements, right? I don't see any way to do this exposed on either IEnumerable<T> or IEnumerator<T>, so maybe it's incompatible with the notion of a potentially unbounded, nondeterministic sequence of elements.

• Jquery: Extracting the hrefs from multiple links on a page.

  Hi, I discovered that .attr() only applies to the first matched element on the page! So, I've been trying to get the hrefs from all the matched elements on a page, but to no avail. Here's what I tentatively wrote: var thelinks = $("td a").each(function(){ $(this).attr("href"); document.write(thelinks); }); I used document.write just to see what was going on, and I got a long list of "undefinedundefinedundefined" What I'm trying to do is extract the hrefs from each td a and then use ajax to visit those pages and do other stuff. I can get it work fine when it's dealing with just one link, but this multiple elements thing I can't figure out. Any help rendered is appreciated, I'm a novice to the world of Javascript and Jquery.

  Is it possible to add a folder which contains java source code as a classpath element. I have tried a few things and it seems that the classloadr is not picking up java soruce files? One of my attempts is shown below.... • Can I create a collection in Scala that uses different equals/hashCode/compare implementations?

  I'm looking for as simple way to create an identity set. I just want to be able to keep track of whether or not I've "seen" a particular object while traversing a graph. I can't use a regular Set because Set uses "==" (the equals method in Scala) to compare elements. What I want is a Set that uses "eq." Is there any way to create a Set in Scala that uses some application-specified method for testing equality rather than calling equals on the set elements? I looked for some kind of "wrapEquals" method that I could override but did not find it. I know that I could use Java's IdentityHashMap, but I'm looking for something more general-purpose. Another idea I had was to just wrap each set element in another object that implements equals in terms of eq, but it's wasteful to generate tons of new objects just to get a new equals implementation. • Tabcompletion and docview while editing rc.lua

  I saw that there is a lua plugin for eclipse and there is a docpage on the awesome main page api_doc and all the .lua files in /usr/share/awesome/lib. So I thought it must be possible to create a Library or Execution Environment so that one has tabcompletion and docview. So I tried making my own Execution Environment: wrote the standard .rockspec file downloaded the documentation made an ofline version of it and put it in docs/ folder ziped the files and folders in /usr/share/awesome/lib ziped all up tried it out ... and it failed. When I try to view a documentaion for a .lua file I get "Note: This element has no attached documentation." Questions: Am I totaly wrong in my doing (because I have the feeling I am)? Is there any way to edit the rc.lua with tabcompletion and docview?

• [Simple] Beginner AJAX script not working, stuck on opening XMLHttpRequest

  Hopefully, this question isn't too juvenile to ask - but here goes: I'm trying to learn AJAX, and I'm stuck on a simple content-fetch. Here is my code: request = getHTTPObject(); function useHttpResponse() { if (request.readyState == 4) { document.getElementById("p").innerHTML = request.responseText; } } function update_p() { request.open("GET",content.html,true); request.onreadystatechange = useHttpResponse; } getHTTPObject is correctly defined, and returns a proper XMLHttpObject. As you probably guessed from the excerpt, the element I am trying to update is id'd "p". It calls the script correctly when a button is clicked, no problem there. The script seems to stop at line 8, at request.open. There's no error, and the script silently ignores anything afterward. I don't think I've missed anything, but of course, I probably did. Where did I go wrong? Thanks!

  I am using the Jquery Wysiwyg editor and I am trying to capture the html that makes up the content area to store in a DB. Is there anyway to get html of a element and save it as a string? My code looks like tihs <iframe id="wysiwyg_IFrame> <html> <head></head> <body> <ul> <li>This is a test</li> </ul> </body> </html> </iframe> I would either like to get a string that starts with <html>....</html> or just the body <body>...</body> does anyone know if this is possible? • How To Switch To A Frame That Appears As A Pop Up Window

  I am using the following applications: Selenium 2.0 in C# Firefox I need to write a test that clicks a button and opens a frame as a pop up window. The frame does not have a name nor id. The source code in the frame starts with "html" instead of "frame". However, when you right click on the window, it shows that it is a frame. So, I think it is a frame instead of a window. • Sitecore E-Commerce Module - Discount/Promotional Codes

  I am working on a project for which I must use Sitecore's E-Commerce Module (and Sitecore 6.5 rev. 120706 - aka 'Update 5') to create a web-store. One of the features that I am trying to implement is a generic promotional/discount code system - customer enters a code at checkout which grants a discount like 'free shipping', '20% off', etc. At the moment, I am looking for some guidance (a high-level solution, a few pseudo-ideas, some references to review, etc) as to how this can be accomplished. Summary: What I am looking for is a way to detect whether or not the user entered a promo code at a previous stage in the checkout line, and to determine what that promo code is, if they did. Progress Thus Far: I have thoroughly reviewed all of the Sitecore E-Commerce Services (SES) documentation, especially "SES Order Line Extension" documentation (which I believe will have to be modified/extended in order to accomplish this task). Additionally, I have thoroughly reviewed the Sitecore Community article Extending Sitecore E-Commerce - Pricing and believe that it may be a useful guide for applying a discount statically, but does not say much in the way of applying a discount dynamically. After reviewing these documents, I have come up with the following possible high-level solution to start from: I create a template to represent a promotional code, which holds all data relevant to the promotion (percent off, free shipping, code, etc). I then create another template (based on the Product Search Group template) that holds a link to an item within a global "Promotional Code" items folder. Next, I use the Product Search Group features of my new template to choose which products to apply the discount to. In the source code for the checkout I create a class that checks if a code has been entered and, if so, somehow carry it through the rest of the checkout process. This is where I get stuck. More Details: No using cookies No GET requests No changing/creating/deleting items in the Sitecore Database during the checkout process (e.g., no manipulation of fields of a discount item during checkout to signal that the discount has been applied) must stay within the scope of C# Last Notes: I will update this post with any more information that I find/progress that I make. I upgrade all answers that are relevant and detailed, thought-provoking, or otherwise useful to me and potentially useful to others, in addition to any high-level answers that serve as a feasible solution to this problem; even if your idea doesn't help me, if I think it will help someone else I will still upgrade it. • In an Android test, how to check that a View is shown?

  Hello, I'm writing a UI test case (using ActivityUnitTestCase) and would like to check if at a given time a View subclass is visible to the user. I've found the View#isShown() method, which claims to do exactly this - checking the visibility field of this element and all its parents - but somehow it always returns "false" for all the elements. I'll be grateful for some help. If it makes it easier, I can paste some code. Also, I found ViewAsserts#assertOnScreen(View origin, View view) but it doesn't seem to do the right thing either - always returns true. Am I perhaps calling it wrong: assertOnScreen(viewImTesting.getRootView(), viewImTesting)? Thanks, Jan

• XmlTextWriter.WriteFullEndElement tags on the same line

  I am using an XMLTextWriter to create an XML document dynamically (in VB.Net). I want empty tags to appear like this - <Tag></Tag> and not this - <Tag /> So, I am using WriteFullEndElement to end the element tag. But it is writing out the tag as - <Tag> </Tag> i.e. with a newline character between the tags. The web service reading this XML rejects it due to the newline character. How do I avoid the newline, and have both the start and end tags on the same line?

• Flex - weird display behavior on large number of Canvas

  Hi, I have a Flex app (SDK 3.5 - FP10) that does mindmap trees. Every node is a Canvas (I'm using Canvas specific properties so I needed it). It has a shadow effect, background color and some small ui element on it (like icons, texts...). It works perfectly until it goes over ~700 nodes (Canvas). Over that number it shows grey rectangles: http://yfrog.com/bhw2pj . If I turn off the DropShadowFilter effect for the Canvas, they are also gone, so I assume it's a DropShadowFilter problem: http://yfrog.com/2d9y8j . The effect is simple: private static var _nodeDropShadow:DropShadowFilter = new DropShadowFilter(1, 45, 0x888888, 1, 1, 1); _backgroundComp.filters = _nodeDropShadow; Is it possible that Flex can't handle that much? • Possible to InvalidateVisual() on a given region instead of entire WPF control?

  I have a complex WPF control that draws a lot of primitives in its OnRender (it's sort of like a map). When a small portion of it changes, I'd only like to re-issue render commands for the affected elements, instead of running the entire OnRender over. While I'm fine with my OnRender function's performance on a resize or whatever, it's not fast enough for mouse hover-based highlighting of primitives. Currently the only way I know how to force a screen update is to call InvalidateVisual(). No way to send in a dirty rect region to invalidate. Is the lowest granularity of WPF screen composition the UI element? Will I need to do my renders of primitives into an intermediate target and then have that use InvalidateVisual() to update to the screen?

• MooTools - Programmatically fired events not working with event delegation

  Would really appreciate if anyone can help me figure out why I am unable to fire events programmatically when using event delegation in MooTools (from the Element.Delegation class). There is a parent <div> that has a change listener on some child <input> elements. When the change event is triggered by user actions, the handler on the parent div gets triggered, but when I fire it programmatically with fireEvent on any child input, nothing happens. The basic setup is: html <div id="listener"> <input type="text" id="color" class="color" /> ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????</div>??????????? js $("listener").addEvent("change:relay(.color)", function() { alert("changed!!"); }); $("color").fireEvent("change"); // nothing happens The event handler on the parent div does not get called. • GWT: Select a TreeItem with right click
