  • firefox object height ignored when data

    I have a flash video loading in a modal window. It works in others browsers but not Firefox. Firefox opens the modal window to the correct width of the object, but with no height. I have come to learn that Firefox does not recognize <param> and instead uses the data attribute. However, when I remove this attribute, the modal opens with correct height. What is going on?   • Browser back button broken between hidden div's

    First of all, these pages will never be on the web but will be in internal memory. They are a group of linked documents---an ebook. http://www.anmldr.com/testdivs When I click on the link in the first div, the second div becomes visible and the first div is hidden. The problem is with the browser's back button. If you then click on the back button, the URL updates but the first div does not show again. How can I correct the back button so that the first div shows? The link from the second div to the first div works fine but it is the browser back button that I do not know how to work with. Thanks, Linda P.S. These are using CSS3 so it is better to use a WebKit based browser.

I know about project deploy, but it is no longer maintained.   • JQuery Validate Dynamic Table

    I'm using the JQuery validation plug to validate my entire form. I also have a dynamic table on my registration page where the user can register more people. I can validate the rest of the form fine but my goal is to validate the table inputs just the same. Here is my jfiddle code: tables I don't know why the add line won't work there but it definitely works on my page. Anyway, that code ends up validate ONLY the first row of my table, but I want it to validate every single row. Can anyone see any problems with the code?

The problem is that the page will pop-out the download, and you can save it, but it will not allow another form submit. i was thinking of doing a page refresh after the submit.     I have created some <div> tags and am setting it to contain two <div> tags that are floated to both sides of the <div>. I noticed when I tried to set a background color that the containing <div> was not properly wrapping around the <div>s that its supposed to contain. I would like to know why this happens. I have seen a similar question here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/611220/why-are-these-div-tags-not-nesting-properly but no one has explained why this happens in any of the answers.

Now I want to save the Table in the localStorage, so I can load it again.     2 questions, i was doing nothing productive, and tried selecting the google home page (a left click drag and select whole page) on google.com i see that beside the search box, on the left side, there is an empty space &nbsp; i looked up the source code and there indeed was a <td width=25%>&nbsp;</td> stupid as it may sound, but i was still curious to know why the blank space is out there..or is it just a simple typo?? :) also, any idea what window.lol&&lol() does? curious yet again, google search didnt get me any result and i thought i would turn to stackoverflow to enlighten me... thanks, ivar

    I started getting into reading design blogs a little while ago, and it seemed that @font-face got really popular sometime late last year, or something like that, because I was under the impression that it was a new emerging feature of the web. But then I saw that Internet Explorer has had it since IE4 (with some conversion). So is it common to see @font-face online nowadays? Sould I have anything in mind with respect to accessibility, legality, or rendering before I do something like this? I saw that Hulu.com renders fonts with Canvas and a javascript called "cufon."

    I'm having some trouble positioning the Google +1 button on my website. The div is as follows: <div class="g-plusone"></div> The CSS I'm using is pretty simple: .g-plusone { position: absolute; top:95px; left:715px; } I know for a fact that the div in question is being accessed. What's strange is that other social sharing buttons, such as the FB like below follow the same syntax and are positioned perfectly. .fb-like { position: absolute; top:62px; left:715px; } Any ideas?

  • How do I get a div to float to the bottom of its container?

    I have floated images and inset boxes at the top of a container using float:right (or left) many times. Recently I hit a need to float a div at the bottom right corner of another div with the normal text wrap that you get with float (text wrapped above and to the left only). I thought this must be relatively easy even though float has no bottom value but I haven't been able to do it using a number of techniques and searching the web hasn't come up with anything other than using absolute positioning but this doesn't give the correct word wrap behaviour. I had thought this would be a very common design but apparently it isn't. If nobody has a suggestion I'll have to break my text up into separate boxes and align the div manually but that is rather precarious and I'd hate to have to do it on every page that needs it.
