  • Using Bookmarklet to open and pass values from Parent and Child Window

    Hi, Is there a way to open a window from the current page using a javascript bookmarklet, and once the the child window has finished loading, setting the value of one of the elements in its DOM to some value from the current page, say for example the currently selected text. I know that this can be done in plane javascript, and also, by appending the value to the URL, and reading it from the web service opened in the new child window. I want to know if there is any other way, as the appending URL method does not let you send text more than two thousand odd characters long. Appreciate any help I can get!

  • TcpListener.Start() does not open the port

    Hello, I have a class that inherits from the TcpListener, this class Shadows the Start method just to call the base Start() and the base BeginAcceptTcpClient(). From time to time the method is called but the port is not opened (netstat does not show the port open). The class looks like this Public Class ExtendedTcpListener Inherits System.Net.Sockets.TcpListener Public Shadows Sub Start() SyncLock (m_stopLock) MyBase.Start() MyBase.BeginAcceptTcpClient(AddressOf Me.CompleteAcceptTcpClient, Me) My.Application.Log.WriteEntry("Extended Tcp Listener started ...", TraceEventType.Verbose) End SyncLock End Sub Any idea on what's happening or how to debug the issue? As the Start() is called without exception I expected to find the port always opened (the log is always written). Extra information: when the Start method works fine it works each time until app is restarted. When the Start method does not work it won't work again until the app is restarted.

  • Mysql latin1 turkish data and delphi 2010 utf8

    Hello, I have tables collating latin1_general_ci and have turkish character values. And i can use this data on delphi 7+zeos with no problem. but i want to upgrade my delphi to 2010 version but zeos too slow as i saw. so i want to use odbc+ado or dbexpress solution. dbexpress solution works fine , display my data as entered and write as entered table without any change to column charset. but dbexpress has problems as i saw. for example when i select * from table which has column types as varchar,decimal,int,tinyint,text give av errors on xp systems. vista and 7 does not give any error and work fine(not fully tested). ado solution(dbgo) works fine but its not show my data as entered.its want everything be utf. but i don't want to convert my data to utf before test everything. how can i see my data as entered and write client side utf and store latin1(as zeos or dbexpress do). i was tried many other options. eg. mysql side collation and charset parameters. sorry for my bad english. i hope someone understand me. thanks.

  • NSOutlineview - strange behavior after reloading data

    I have a NSOutlineView which loads data from a data source. The table is displayed in a panel. The items shown in the table are items which belong to an object (the relation is one-to many between the object and the items). I have a list of objects in a combo box (in fact a NSPopupButton), and when I select another object in the combo box, I want it's items to be shown in the table (the NSOutlineView). I managed to do all this , however when I select another object from the combo box, not all of it's items are displayed. I have put some logging messages in the data source and it seems that there are some items that are being returned from the data source , but are not shown in the table (and are not queried for children). Now the strange part is that when I click the main window (as I said, all that I described here is in a NSPanel loaded on top of the window) , all the data is displayed correctly. It seems as if clicking the main window triggers something in the NSOutlineView that makes it display the missing items, but I can't tell what it is.

    Hi guys, I built a simple social community website for a client - the client would like to add in a forum and he likes Simple Machines Forum. The website I built has its own users management system. The client would like SMF on his website and at the same time when a user is logged into the website they don't need to log into SMF website as well... how can this be done? Or should I just tell the client to consider two separet independant applications in this case i.e forum totally disjoint from the main site?

  • Python (windows) will open files from command line, but not from a script launched from eclipse

    I'm pretty new to writing python for windows (linux is no problem), and am having problems getting python to recognize files when running scripts, though it behaves fine in the command line What am I doing wrong here? def verifyFile(x): # return os.path.isfile(x) This will return true (with a valid file, of course) when called from the python command line, but when I run the script from eclipse, or launch it from windows, it ALWAYS returns false. Any thoughts on why this is? I've tried passing pathnames like this: D:\Documents and Settings\BDE\Desktop\cdburn.jpg and like this: D:/Documents and Settings/BDE/Desktop/cdburn.jpg I've changed sys,argv[0] to '' I've tried this: def verifyFile(x): # try: f = open(x, 'r') f.close() return True except: return False and am getting no love!     Hi, I use Sql Server 2000 and I inserted some data in hebrew to a table. I need to access this data through an iPhone app using an ASP page that query the table. The problem is that in the iPhone app the Hebrew is shown as strange signs. I think my problem is that the data that is generated from my db isn't in UTF-8 but in USC-2 Any suggestions how to convert the data from my db to utf so it will be readable on the iPhone? 10x.

    I'm trying to load an external JavaScript using jQuery's getScript(), like this: $.getScript("http://api.recaptcha.net/js/recaptcha_ajax.js", function(data) { window.alert(data); }); but as the alert window shows, the data variable in the callback function is undefined, unlike promised in http://docs.jquery.com/Ajax/jQuery.getScript#urlcallback.   • Core Data Image Won't Load Into NSTableView Image Cell

    In my code I am storing an image into my Core Data model (works fine). If I set up my view to have an NSImageView and bind its Data to Controller Key: selection and modelKeyPath: myImagePath, it works. It will show each image for the selected row. I then create a new column in my NSTableView and drag an image cell onto the column. However, I cannot get my Core Data bindings to have the image show up in the cell. I have tried binding both value and data, but no luck. Since I am sure the image is stored properly, what am I doing wrong in my binding to prevent the image from showing up in the table cell? Thanks so much. (My background: new Cocoa developer who has recently gone through the entire Hillegass book.)

  • What is the role/responsibility of a 'shell'?

    Hi, I have been looking at the source code of the IronPython project and the Orchard CMS project. IronPython operates with a namespace called Microsoft.Scripting.Hosting.Shell (part of the DLR). The Orchard Project also operates with the concept of a 'shell' indirectly in various interfaces (IShellContainerFactory, IShellSettings). None of the projects mentioned above have elaborate documentation, so picking up the meaning of a type (class etc.) from its name is pretty valuable if you are trying to figure out the overall application structure/architecture by reading the source code. Now I am wondering: what do the authors of this source code have in mind when they refer to a 'shell'? When I hear the word 'shell', I think of something like a command line interpreter. This makes sense for IronPython, since it has an interactive interpreter. But to me, it doesn't make much sense with respect to a Web CMS. What should I think of, when I encounter something called a 'shell'? What is, in general terms, the role and responsibility of a 'shell'? Can that question even be answered? Is the meaning of 'shell' subjective (making the term useless)? Thanks.

  • SQLServer Binary Data with ActiveRecord and JDBC

    I'm using the activerecord-jdbc-adapter with ActiveRecord to be able to access a SQLServer database for Rails Application running under jRuby and am having trouble inserting binary data. The Exception I am getting is below. Note I just have a blurb for the binary data from the fixtures that was working fine for MySQL. ActiveRecord::StatementInvalid: ActiveRecord::ActiveRecordError: Operand type clash: nvarchar is incompatible with image: INSERT INTO blobstorage_datachunks ([id], [datafile_id], [chunk_number], [data]) VALUES (369397133, 663419003, 0, N'GIF89a@') When I created the tables the migration had binary and SQLServer used Image instead. We're using Rails 2.3.5, SQLServer Express 2008. What I'm looking for is a way to get the binary data into SQLServer with ActiveRecord. Thanks in advance for the help.

  • Alternative to DITA Open Toolkit

    I'm working on a web app that will need to process DITA documents from persistent storage (likely a JCR). The DITA Open Toolkit is the only DITA implementation I'm aware of, but it requires all of your documents to exist on the filesystem. Ideally, I'd like something that works like the DITA OT, but allows you to provide a resolver (much like an XSLT URIResolver) to pull referenced content from other sources. If people have other ideas, such as using a virtual filesystem to trick the DITA OT into working, I'd love to hear those too. Thanks!

To set the actual data I use the following method: override public function set data(side:Object):void{ ... } As soon as I use this function the cell doesn't show up any item Editor anymore. I know this topic has been brought up before, but this topic is specific to either Entity Framework 5 (not 4) or Telerik OpenAccess ORM. The project will reside on Windows Azure and use Windows Azure SQL Database. I will migrate it to .NET 4.5 once 4.5 is live on Azure. I am currently a Telerik Ultimate Collection subscriber.     In a B- tree you can store both keys and data in the internal/leaf nodes. But in a B+ tree you have to store the data in the leaf nodes only. Is there any advantage of doing the above in a B+ tree? Why not use B- trees instead of B+ trees everywhere? As intuitively they seem much faster. I mean why do you need to replicate the key(data) in a B+ tree?
