Apache: Re-negotiation handshake failed: Not accepted by client!? Firefox: ssl_error_handshake_failure_alert I assume it is a configuration error, but have not been able to locate it. Additional info: Commercial CA server cert servers secure works without problem in Apache 2.2 & Passenger. Only client authentication related directives do not work.

Obviously the best use of my time is continuing with my coding projects, but I'm wondering if I should be learning more about Android particulars, solidifying my somewhat shaky Java knowledge, going back to object-oriented fundamentals or patterns...? Pointers to resources (books, example apps, sites) you've found helpful would be great.

  Hi, I am installing SUSE 11.2, and went with the default options, now it reached the point of "Windows Domain Membership". At job I do not remember the right names, so I tried some but I get an error message which says "cannot use the group "WORKGROUP" for Linux authentication", etc. So I would like to avoid windows authentication, but at this point I do not see this option. I can only try domain names or abort the installation. What could I do here in order to finish the installation without windows memebership? Thanks

• Setting up Github post-receive webhook with private Jenkins and private repo

  I'm trying to set up a private GitHub project to send a post-receive request to a private Jenkins instance to trigger a project build on branch push. Using latest Jenkins with the GitHub plugin. I believe I set up everything correctly on the Jenkins side because when sending a request from a public server with curl like this: curl http://username:password@ipaddress:port/github-webhook/ results in: Stacktrace: net.sf.json.JSONException: null object which is fine because the JSON payload is missing. Sending the wrong username and password in the URI results in: Exception: Failed to login as username I interpret this as a correct Jenkins configuration. Both of these requests also result in entries in the Jenkins log. However, when pasting the exact same URI from above into the Github repository Post-Receive URLs Service Hook and clicking on Test Hook, absolutely nothing seems to happen on my server. Nothing in the Jenkins log and the GitHub Hook Log in the Jenkins project says Polling has not run yet. I have run out of ideas and don't know how to proceed further.

  I'm having problems getting Sentry (https://www.getsentry.com - not enough rep for a link) running as a service using supervisor. I can run Sentry in the command line and view it correctly in the browser but when it comes to supervisor I am completely in the dark. I shall try and give all the details I can Initial user warning By no means a server admin, just playing/learning in VirtualBox. Literally only just discovered supervisor from reading the Sentry documentation so I may well be making some obvious mistakes here. • Can you authenticate into SSAS with AD LDS (ADAM) accounts?

  I'm very new to AD LDS and experienced but not qualified with SSAS, so my apologies for my ignorances with these. We have a couple implementations where we expose SSAS via an HTTPS proxy (msmdpump.dll) and currently we have a temporary domain setup handling this (where our end-users have a second account+creds to manage because of this = non-ideal). I want to move us towards a more permanent solution which I'm thinking of moving all authentication to AD LDS for our web apps, SSAS, and others. However, SSAS is where I'm concerned about this. I know SSAS requires Windows Authentication and to play nicely, and that this ultimately means Active Directory will be involved. Is there a way to get this done with AD LDS instead of having to use a full AD DS implementation? If so, how? (Note: My question over at StackOverflow had a suggestion that I post this question here on ServerFault instead. My apologies if I'm not asking in the right forum.)

  IIS 7.5 FTP IIS Manager Users Login Fail (530) I'm trying to set up a FTP site on IIS 7.5 that allows IIS Manager Users to login. I'm following this guide: http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/321/configure-ftp-with-iis-7-manager-authentication/. After set up, I cannot login to the FTP using an IIS Manager User account. The client error I got was 530 User cannot log in. Win32 error: Unspecified error. Error details: An error occured during the authentication process. I tried both with or without a virtual host. A Windows account login fine. The only strange thing I noticed was that when setting up Read permission for Network Service, there was an access denied error when setting up permission for "%SystemDrive%\Windows\System32\inetsrv\config\schema". Any thoughts? Thanks!

• SBS2003 OWA not displaying images on external side

  I've got an SBS 2003 server with companyweb/remote owa site. After authenticating remotely to the https:/servername/remote site, and then clicking on Use Outlook Web Access, the mail/owa site displays only limited amounts of data with Loading... displayed (see first image). This is different when viewing the site on the server itself (see second image). Different browsers will display different types of data (last screenshot is Chrome - first two are IE). I feel IIS permissions on the virtual directories is the cause, but not certain. Forms-based authentication etc is working ok etc. Any suggestions? Authentication and getting email via ActiveSync is not a problem. I don't want to break anything, and it's not a major problem because the users only get their email via outlook and iphones anyway without problems. I'm more interested in finding out for my own info so please give me some suggestions to try. Thanks for looking!

All the websites installed on this server purely runs with ASP.NET technology. Can I remove these two modules to improve performance? Same way, my application uses "Forms Authentication" only. In such case can I delete "Windows Authentication and WindowsAuthenticationModule"?. Also please suggest if any other modules can be deleted to improve performance.

  Hi, I found the iPhone simulator at /Username/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/4.2/ and in there I can see my apps within a cryptic directory name. One of my apps is storing a database and some cached files in the iPhone's "Personal" folder which I thought is the "Documents" folder in the directory of the simulator. But there's nothing in it. • Unable to SSH to EC2

  I downloaded the cert-xxx.pem and pk-xxx.pem files and also the keypair.pem and moved it all to the /.ssh folder on my Ubuntu client machine. this is what I get when I try to SSH with -v at the end debug1: SSH2_MSG_SERVICE_ACCEPT received debug1: Authentications that can continue: publickey debug1: Next authentication method: publickey debug1: Trying private key: /root/.ssh/identity debug1: Trying private key: /root/.ssh/id_rsa debug1: Trying private key: /root/.ssh/id_dsa debug1: No more authentication methods to try. Permission denied (publickey). I am new to administering servers and I want to know if I should be trying to convert the pem files to id_rsa and id_dsa. I am not really sure if that is possible but I don't know how else to get the id_rsa, id_dsa from those pem files or if there is any work around. I managed to get access to EC2 the first time and this is my second try and I am unsuccessful so far. Any help is appreciated. regards Walker

• SSH broken after hostname change on EC2-hosted Ubuntu

  I changed my instance's hostname using the hostname utility and then set it in /etc/hostname so that the new name survives reboot. My main motivation was for differentiating between instances at the prompt using the \h format in PS1. EDIT I also changed permissions on my home directory. I made my home directory group writeable. END EDIT Now I can no longer SSH into the machine. The short of it is the error Permission denied (publickey). Running ssh -v, the more verbose output is: debug1: Authentications that can continue: publickey debug1: Next authentication method: publickey debug1: Offering RSA public key: /Users/dmitry/.ssh/id_rsa debug1: Authentications that can continue: publickey debug1: Trying private key: /Users/dmitry/.ssh/ec2key.pem debug1: read PEM private key done: type RSA debug1: Authentications that can continue: publickey debug1: No more authentication methods to try. • Windows CA to issue certificate to authenticate SSH to a Linux server

  I have a Windows Server Root Certificate Authority, Linux SSH server, and users with Windows SSH clients. The Linux box is not part of the AD domain (and probably never will be [sigh]) OpenSSH 5.4 and above supports X.509 certiicate based authentication. I am trying to find a way to use my Windows Certificate Authority to issue certificates for authentication of the users when the SSH to the Linux box. I do not want to have to generate a keypair on each user's desktop. And we want the certificates controlled and revokable at the Windows CA. My question is not exactly the same as SSH from Windows to Linux with AD certificates (and the referenced moelinux.net seems to be down) I have searched Google a lot, and haven't found much results about how to accomplish this. An answer doesn't necessarily have to include a full tutorial, even some hints about what to search on or pointers to some references may be helpful.

Our server is Windows 2003 SBS 6.5 SP2 There are no abnormal events in the system log. I ran the "Exchange ActiveSync with AutoDiscover" at https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ I've notice an abnormality in the exchange properties, Log File Directory shows: Access denied.   Hello everyone, I am using SharePoint Server 2007 x64 and Windows Server 2008 x64. I have setup a site with template publishing portal. I have grant anonymous access to all the site. My question is, if I create a new page, how to grant permission to anonymous user to access (read permission) the page? I got this confusion because, for the permission setting of a page, a permission is set according to a user name (e.g. read permission for user "foo" of a page). Since anonymous user does not have a related "user name", how could I grant read permission to anonymous user? BTW: I use Windows Forms authentication and Windows NTLM authentication for my sites. • Chef-solo cannot locate an nginx recipe template

  I have been recently experimenting with Chef. I thought I would attempt to rebuild my personal web server using chef-solo. It's an AWS instance running the Amazon 64bit Linux AMI. My first objective is to install nginx. I have cloned the Opscode cookbook repository, and am using their nginx cookbook. My problem appears to be that chef-solo cannot find a template after it has started the process.
