  • jQuery.ajax call to Twitter succeeds but returns null for Firefox

    - by Zhami
I've got code that makes a simple get request to Twitter (search) using jQuery's ajax method. The code works fine on Safari, but fails on Firefox (3.6.3). In the Firefox case, my jQuery.ajax parameters 'success' method is invoked, but the supplied data is null. (In Safari, I receive a boatload of JSON data). My ajax call is: $.ajax({ url: 'http://search.twitter.com/search.json?q='+searchTerm, dataType: 'json', async: true, beforeSend: function(request) { window.console.log('starting AJAX request to get Twitter data'); }, success: function(data, textStatus, request) { window.console.log('AJAX request to get Twitter succeeded: status=' + textStatus); callback(data); }, error: function(request, status, error) { window.console.log('AJAX request to get user data --> Error: ' + status); errback(request, status, error); } }); Firebug shows Response headers: Date Sun, 11 Apr 2010 22:30:26 GMT Server hi Status 200 OK X-Served-From b021 X-Runtime 0.23841 Content-Type application/json; charset=utf-8 X-Served-By sjc1o024.prod.twitter.com X-Timeline-Cache-Hit Miss Cache-Control max-age=15, must-revalidate, max-age=300 Expires Sun, 11 Apr 2010 22:35:26 GMT Vary Accept-Encoding X-Varnish 1827846877 Age 0 Via 1.1 varnish X-Cache-Svr sjc1o024.prod.twitter.com X-Cache MISS Content-Encoding gzip Content-Length 2126 Connection close The HTTP status is OK (200), the Conetnt-Type is properly application/json, and the Content-Length of 2126 (gzip'd) implies data came back. Yet Firebug shows the Response to be empty, and a test of the supplied data shows it o be 'null.' I am aware of a similar post on Stack Overflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1188976/jquery-get-function-succeeds-with-200-but-returns-no-content-in-firefox and from that would assume this problem is possibly related to cross-domain security, but... I know there are many JS widgets and whatnots that ajax get data from Twitter. Is there something I need to enable to allow this?

  • Cannot connect to a SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services cube after installing SQL Server 2008 SP1.

    - by Luc
I've been developing an application that talks directly to an SSAS 2005 OLAP cube. Note that I also have SQL Server 2008 installed, so the other day I did a Windows Update and decided to include SQL Server 2008 SP1 in my update. After doing that, my SSAS 2005 cube is no longer accessible from my application. I'm able to browse the data just fine within SQL Server 2005 BI Studio Manager, but I'm not able to connect to the cube from my application. Here is my connection string that used to work: Data Source=localhost;Provider=msolap;Initial Catalog=Adventure Works DW Here is the error message I get: Either the user, [Server]/[User], does not have access to the Adventure Works DW database, or the database does not exist. Here is the beginning of my stack trace if it would help: Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient.AdomdErrorResponseException was unhandled by user code HelpLink="" Message="Either the user, Luc-PC\\Luc, does not have access to the Adventure Works DW database, or the database does not exist." • Why does Silverlight 4 ClientHttp WebRequest prompt the user for a login and password?

    - by James Cadd
One of the new features of the client http stack in Silverlight 4 is the ability to supply network credentials. When I use this feature Windows shows a "Windows Security" message box that prompts the user for a login and password (text in the box is "The server xx at xx requires a username and password. Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection)."). I'm setting the login and password as shown below so I'm not sure why this is displayed. My code is: var request = WebRequestCreator.ClientHttp.Create(new Uri("http://myserver:8080/gui/?list=1")); request.Credentials = new NetworkCredential("login", "password"); request.BeginGetResponse(new AsyncCallback(OnRequestComplete), request); If I enter the username and password into the messagebox the request completes successfully. For a number of reasons I'd rather prompt the user for the login and password so I'd like to avoid the messagebox if possible. My setup is Silverlight 4 final, VS 2010 final, Windows 7 x86. The application is out of browser with elevated permissions.

  • Returning Meaningful Exceptions from a WCF Project

    - by MissingLinq
I am pretty new to WCF in general. What little experience I have comes from using fairly simple .SVC services in ASP.NET web applications. I tried experimenting with using a WCF Project for the first time, and ran into a major show-stopper. As I’m sure most are aware, for some strange reason, in a web application in which the customErrors mode is set to On , services (both .ASMX and .SVC) will not return exception details to the client. Instead, the exception and stack trace are emptied, and the message always reads “There was an error processing the request”, which is not at all helpful. When services are directly hosted inside the web application itself, it’s easy to work around this restriction by placing the services in a dedicated folder, and setting for that folder. However, I’m running into this same issue with exceptions not being returned from services that live in a separate WCF project. Thing is, I don’t know how to work around that. In a nutshell: I need to get my WCF Project services to bubble REAL exceptions to the client – or at least, the original exception message, instead of “There was an error processing the request”.

  • NSURLConnection sendSynchronousRequest: fails when using POST

    - by Combat
    I'm using a custom NSURLCache to intercept calls for certain web pages in order to modify them dynamically. Inside cachedResponseForRequest: I modify the request, then send it out using sendSynchronousRequest. This works very well until you attempt to submit a form. If there is post data it fails. If i remove the HTTPBody and set the request to GET, it succeeds. But i need it to work with POST. If i send the request asynchronously it also works which is why i can't figure out why the synchronous request fails. Here's my stack trace: Date/Time: 2010-01-17 12:37:55.416 -0800 OS Version: iPhone OS 3.1.2 (7D11) Report Version: 104 Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS) Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000001c Crashed Thread: 2 Thread 2 Crashed: 0 CFNetwork 0x0000b4e4 HTTPMessage::copyHeaderFieldValue(__CFString const*) + 18 1 CFNetwork 0x0000b4c8 CFHTTPMessageCopyHeaderFieldValue + 16 2 CFNetwork 0x0000e022 HTTPProtocol::createStream() + 328 3 CFNetwork 0x0000de8a HTTPProtocol::createAndOpenStream() + 458 4 CFNetwork 0x0000cba2 HTTPProtocol::startLoad() + 278 5 CFNetwork 0x0000c8da URLConnectionLoader::loaderScheduleOriginLoad(_CFURLRequest const*) + 216 6 CFNetwork 0x0000c77c URLConnectionLoader::loaderScheduleLoad(_CFURLRequest const*) + 280 7 CFNetwork 0x0000c5e6 URLConnectionLoader::LoaderConnectionEventQueue::processAllEventsAndConsumePayload(XConnectionEventInfo, long) + 134 8 CFNetwork 0x0000c53a URLConnectionLoader::processEvents() + 60 9 CFNetwork 0x0000a892 URLConnection::multiplexerClientPerform(RunLoopMultiplexer) + 30 10 CFNetwork 0x0000a812 MultiplexerSource::perform() + 86 11 CFNetwork 0x0000a7b2 MultiplexerSource::_perform(void*) + 2 12 CoreFoundation 0x000573a0 CFRunLoopRunSpecific + 1908 13 CoreFoundation 0x00056c18 CFRunLoopRunInMode + 44 14 Foundation 0x0005a998 +[NSURLConnection(NSURLConnectionReallyInternal) _resourceLoadLoop:] + 172 15 Foundation 0x00053ac6 -[NSThread main] + 42 16 Foundation 0x00001d0e __NSThread_main_ + 852 17 libSystem.B.dylib 0x0002b7b0 _pthread_body + 20 As you can see, copyHeaderFieldValue is causing the crash.   • How to make sliding button sidebar in Flex

    - by Tam
    Hi, I'm fairly new to Flex. I want to make a button (icon) on the far right in the middle of the page that display a sliding side bar with multiple buttons in it when you hover over it. I want when the user hover out of the button bar it slides back again. Conceptually I got the basics of that to work. The issue I'm having is that when the user moves the mouse between the buttons in the sidebar it kicks in changing state and side bar slides back again. I tried using different types of containers and I got the same results. Any Advice? Thanks, Tam Here is the code: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <s:VGroup xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009" xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark" xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/halo" xmlns:vld ="com.lal.validators.*" xmlns:effect="com.lal.effects.*" width="150" horizontalAlign="right" gap="0"> <fx:Script> <![CDATA[ import com.lal.model.LalModelLocator; var _model:LalModelLocator = LalModelLocator.getInstance(); ]]> </fx:Script> <fx:Declarations> <mx:ArrayCollection id="someData"> </mx:ArrayCollection> </fx:Declarations> <s:states> <s:State name="normal" /> <s:State name="expanded" /> </s:states> <fx:Style source="/styles.css"/> <s:transitions> <s:Transition fromState="normal" toState="expanded" > <s:Sequence> <s:Wipe direction="left" duration="250" target="{buttonsGroup}" /> </s:Sequence> </s:Transition> <s:Transition fromState="expanded" toState="normal" > <s:Sequence> <s:Wipe direction="right" duration="250" target="{buttonsGroup}" /> </s:Sequence> </s:Transition> </s:transitions> <s:Button skinClass="com.lal.skins.CalendarButtonSkin" id="calendarIconButton" includeIn="normal" verticalCenter="0" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> <s:Panel includeIn="expanded" id="buttonsGroup" mouseOut="currentState = 'normal' " width="150" height="490" > <s:layout> <s:VerticalLayout gap="0" paddingRight="0" /> </s:layout> <s:Button id="mondayButton" width="120" height="70" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> <s:Button id="tuesdayButton" width="120" height="70" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> <s:Button id="wednesdayButton" width="120" height="70" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> <s:Button id="thursdayButton" width="120" height="70" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> <s:Button id="fridayButton" width="120" height="70" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> <s:Button id="saturdayButton" width="120" height="70" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> <s:Button id="sundayButton" width="120" height="70" mouseOver="currentState = 'expanded'"/> </s:Panel> </s:VGroup>

  • Code Golf: Collatz Conjecture

    - by Earlz
Inspired by http://xkcd.com/710/ here is a code golf for it. The Challenge Given a positive integer greater than 0, print out the hailstone sequence for that number. The Hailstone Sequence See Wikipedia for more detail.. If the number is even, divide it by two. If the number is odd, triple it and add one. Repeat this with the number produced until it reaches 1. (if it continues after 1, it will go in an infinite loop of 1 -> 4 -> 2 -> 1...) Sometimes code is the best way to explain, so here is some from Wikipedia function collatz(n) show n if n > 1 if n is odd call collatz(3n + 1) else call collatz(n / 2) This code works, but I am adding on an extra challenge. The program must not be vulnerable to stack overflows. So it must either use iteration or tail recursion. Also, bonus points for if it can calculate big numbers and the language does not already have it implemented. (or if you reimplement big number support using fixed-length integers) Test case Number: 21 Results: 21 -> 64 -> 32 -> 16 -> 8 -> 4 -> 2 -> 1 Number: 3 Results: 3 -> 10 -> 5 -> 16 -> 8 -> 4 -> 2 -> 1 Also, the code golf must include full user input and output.

  • Android SQLite database gets corrupted

    - by Seu
There are about 100 people using my Android App right now and every once and while I get a crash report to the server with this stack trace: android.database.sqlite.SQLiteDatabaseCorruptException: database disk image is malformed at android.app.ActivityThread.performLaunchActivity(ActivityThread.java:2596) at android.app.ActivityThread.handleLaunchActivity(ActivityThread.java:2621) at android.app.ActivityThread.access$2200(ActivityThread.java:126) at android.app.ActivityThread$H.handleMessage(ActivityThread.java:1932) at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:99) at android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:123) at android.app.ActivityThread.main(ActivityThread.java:4595) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invokeNative(Native Method) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:521) at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit$MethodAndArgsCaller.run(ZygoteInit.java:860) at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit.main(ZygoteInit.java:618) at dalvik.system.NativeStart.main(Native Method) Caused by: android.database.sqlite.SQLiteDatabaseCorruptException: database disk image is malformed at android.database.sqlite.SQLiteQuery.native_fill_window(Native Method) at android.database.sqlite.SQLiteQuery.fillWindow(SQLiteQuery.java:75) at android.database.sqlite.SQLiteCursor.fillWindow(SQLiteCursor.java:295) at android.database.sqlite.SQLiteCursor.getCount(SQLiteCursor.java:276) at android.database.AbstractCursor.moveToPosition(AbstractCursor.java:171) at android.database.AbstractCursor.moveToFirst(AbstractCursor.java:248) The result is the app crashing and all the data in the DB being lost. One thing to note is that every time I read or write to the database I get a new SQLiteDatabase and close it as soon as I'm done. I thought this would simplify things, but perhaps that's causing the problem? Is it possible this is just a SQLite bug?

  • expected identity upn connecting to service as network service,

    - by Jim
Hi, We have a web application, running in an application pool as 'NETWORK SERVICE'. The web application connects to a service (.svc) on another web server. The other web server also has the service hosted as 'NETWORK SERVICE'. I believe this is the default. The following endpoint, when run anywhere else works perfectly. <endpoint address="http://server123/UnitTrustService/UnitTrustService.svc" binding="wsHttpBinding" bindingConfiguration="WSHttpBinding_UnitTrustService" contract="UnitTrustServiceReference.UnitTrustService" name="WSHttpBinding_UnitTrustService"> <identity> <servicePrincipalName value="server123" /> </identity> </endpoint> Unfortunately when executed from the web site, we get the following error. System.ServiceModel.Security.MessageSecurityException: The identity check failed for the outgoing message. The expected identity is 'identity(http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/right/possessproperty: http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/upn)' for the 'http://server123/UnitTrustService/UnitTrustService.svc' target endpoint. Server stack trace: at System.ServiceModel.Security.IdentityVerifier.EnsureIdentity(EndpointAddress serviceReference, AuthorizationContext authorizationContext, String errorString)... Any ideas? I have tried running this as local system on the web server machine with exactly the same configuration and it works perfectly. It has something to do with IIS? Regards Craig.

  • MVC 2 Ajax.Beginform passes returned Html to javascript function

    - by Joe
Hi, I have a small partial Create Person form in a page above a table of results. I want to be able to post the form to the server, which I can do no problem with ajax.Beginform. <% using (Ajax.BeginForm("Create", new AjaxOptions { OnComplete = "ProcessResponse" })) {%> <fieldset> <legend>Fields</legend> <div class="editor-label"> <%=Html.LabelFor(model => model.FirstName)%> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%=Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.FirstName)%> <%=Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.FirstName)%> </div> <div class="editor-label"> <%=Html.LabelFor(model => model.LastName)%> </div> <div class="editor-field"> <%=Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.LastName)%> <%=Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.LastName)%> </div> <p> <input type="submit" /> </p> </fieldset> <% } %> Then in my controller I want to be able to post back a partial which is just a table row if the create is successful and append it to the table, which I can do easily with jquery. $('#personTable tr:last').after(data); However, if server validation fails I want to pass back my partial create person form with the validation errors and replace the existing Create Person form. I have tried returning a Json array Controller: return Json(new { Success = true, Html= this.RenderViewToString("PersonSubform",person) }); Javascript: var json_data = response.get_response().get_object(); with a pass/fail flag and the partial rendered as a string using the solition below but that doesnt render the mvc validation controls when the form fails. SO RenderPartialToString So, is there any way I can hand my javascript the out of the box PartialView("PersonForm") as its returned from my ajax.form? Can I pass some addition info as a Json array so I can tell if its pass or fail and maybe add a message? UPDATE I can now pass the HTML of a PartialView to my javascript but I need to pass some additional data pairs like ServerValidation : true/false and ActionMessage : "you have just created a Person Bill". Ideally I would pass a Json array rather than hidden fields in my partial. function ProcessResponse(response) { var html = response.get_data(); $("#campaignSubform").html(html); } Many thanks in advance

  • Change the default SqlCommand CommandTimeout with configuration rather than recompile?

    - by robertc
I am supporting an ASP.Net 3.5 web application and users are experiencing a timeout error after 30 seconds when trying to run a report. Looking around the web it seems it's easy enough to change the timeout in the code, unfortunately I'm not able to access the code and recompile. Is there anyway to configure the default for either the web app, the worker process, IIS or the whole machine? Here is the stack trace up to the point where it's in System.Data in case I'm missing some other problem: [SqlException (0x80131904): Timeout expired. • Zend Studio Debugger returns Application Error

    - by Keyne
When I run debug for my public/index.php I got an application error as output. I've seen that it occurs at this line: foreach($feed->findFeedEntries($entriesLimit) as $entry) If I put a breakpoint before this, all works as expected, I mean, the error is after the line above. If I remove findFeedEntries() method, I can perform debugging without erros. To clarify, this method is in my row object as described bellow: This is the error <?php class Model_DbTable_FeedEntries extends Zf_Db_Table { public function fetchNewEntries($feed_id) { $Feeds = new Model_DbTable_Feeds(); $Feed = $Feeds->getById($feed_id); // ERROR IS HERE! • JSON and jQuery.ajax

Hello, im trying to use the jQuery UI autocomplete to communitate with a webservice with responseformate JSON, but i am unable to do so. My webservice is not even executed, the path should be correct since the error message does not complain about this. • OCR: How to improve accuracy - existing libraries for removing non-text 'furniture', shapes, etc to

    - by Rob
I want to remove rectangles etc that enclose text in a screenshot image, so that I can perform optical character recognition to get accurate text from the screenshot. Background: I doing this to extract data from a legacy application for use with other applications. This is the only way to get at this data as associated files are in a closed, proprietary, binary format. I will be using AutoItScript to drive the application to show data in its UI, then I will screenshot this and feed this to tesseract. I've already had some success in automating the UI, and have been able to use tesseract to get plain ascii text out of the bitmap. There are several AutoItScripr forum articles discussing its use with tesseract/OCR but not specifically for my question. http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.php?s=6c32c3ece12756e635a619cdf175eff9&showforum=2 What I need to do There are thin, 1-pixel wide rectangles that closely enclose some text, when fed to tesseract, it sees them as I for example for a verticle line of the rectangle. Any thoughts on how to remove the rectangles, or best practices? I'm asking if there is a generic command line based toolset to overwrite rectangles, for example, in .png files. I could then pass the .png through this, then pass it to tesseract. Details on the tesseract release/setup I've used are as follows: Go here: http://code.google.com/p/tesseract-ocr/downloads/list - For the basic english generic character set to get Tesseract up and running and recognising your bitmapped text into ascii text, use tesseract-2.00.eng.tar.gz (current version at time of writing is: "English language data for Tesseract (2.00 and up) Jul 2007 989 KB 84845") Related questions I have already looked at on Stack Overflow http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1335581/how-to-give-best-chance-of-success-to-an-ocr-software http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2296568/analysis-and-transformation-of-the-image-on-the-basis-of-this-analysis-for-better http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2268028/reading-characters-off-of-the-screen In these, my question is not completely answered or a commercial solution is being sold. I do not want to consider a commercial solution at this stage.

  • Netbeans / persistence API error

    - by Danny
I am following this tutorial, I'm using netbeans 6.5.1 http://www.netbeans.org/kb/docs/java/gui-db-custom.html When I get to the part where I create the "new entity class from database", which is in the "Customizing the Master/Detail View" section of the tutoiral. I can't ever compile because I get this error in the task list (and I get a runtime error when I run)... Atleast I think these two are related. Error Named queries can be defined only on an Entity or MappedSuperclass class. Countries.java 27 C:/Users/Danny/dev/NetBeansProjects/Test/src/test Error Named queries can be defined only on an Entity or MappedSuperclass class. Products.java 28 C:/Users/Danny/dev/NetBeansProjects/Test/src/test note that all I do is do newentity classes from database, and do exactly as the tutorial says. I stopped on the tutoral at the "Adding Dialog Boxes" heading, because the tutorial writer says the application should be "partially functional" which makes me think it should atleast RUN. I haven't edited the generated code outside of what I've been instructed to do. • How do I locate the CGRect for a substring of text in a UILabel?

    - by bryanjclark
For a given NSRange, I'd like to find a CGRect in a UILabel that corresponds to the glyphs of that NSRange. For example, I'd like to find the CGRect that contains the word "dog" in the sentence "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." The trick is, the UILabel has multiple lines, and the text is really attributedText, so it's a bit tough to find the exact position of the string. The method that I'd like to write on my UILabel subclass would look something like this: - (CGRect)rectForSubstringWithRange:(NSRange)range; Details, for those who are interested: My goal with this is to be able to create a new UILabel with the exact appearance and position of the UILabel, that I can then animate. I've got the rest figured out, but it's this step in particular that's holding me back at the moment. What I've done to try and solve the issue so far: I'd hoped that with iOS 7, there'd be a bit of Text Kit that would solve this problem, but most every example I've seen with Text Kit focuses on UITextView and UITextField, rather than UILabel. I've seen another question on Stack Overflow here that promises to solve the problem, but the accepted answer is over two years old, and the code doesn't perform well with attributed text. I'd bet that the right answer to this involves one of the following: Using a standard Text Kit method to solve this problem in a single line of code. I'd bet it would involve NSLayoutManager and textContainerForGlyphAtIndex:effectiveRange Writing a complex method that breaks the UILabel into lines, and finds the rect of a glyph within a line, likely using Core Text methods. My current best bet is to take apart @mattt's excellent TTTAttributedLabel, which has a method that finds a glyph at a point - if I invert that, and find the point for a glyph, that might work. Update: Here's a github gist with the three things I've tried so far to solve this issue: https://gist.github.com/bryanjclark/7036101

The strange thing is that sometimes, maybe one out of twenty, when contact the server I will get the following error: 2010-04-20 15:33:20.963::WARN: Error for /control java.lang.StackOverflowError at clojure.lang.RT.seq(RT.java:440) at clojure.core$seq__4245.invoke(core.clj:105) at clojure.core$filter__5084$fn__5086.invoke(core.clj:1794) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.sval(LazySeq.java:42) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.seq(LazySeq.java:56) at clojure.lang.RT.seq(RT.java:440) at clojure.core$seq__4245.invoke(core.clj:105) at clojure.core$filter__5084$fn__5086.invoke(core.clj:1794) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.sval(LazySeq.java:42) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.seq(LazySeq.java:56) at clojure.lang.RT.seq(RT.java:440) at clojure.core$seq__4245.invoke(core.clj:105) at clojure.core$filter__5084$fn__5086.invoke(core.clj:1794) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.sval(LazySeq.java:42) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.seq(LazySeq.java:56) at clojure.lang.RT.seq(RT.java:440) at clojure.core$seq__4245.invoke(core.clj:105) at clojure.core$filter__5084$fn__5086.invoke(core.clj:1794) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.sval(LazySeq.java:42) at clojure.lang.LazySeq.seq(LazySeq.java:56) at clojure.lang.RT.seq(RT.java:440) ... If I do it right after again it always works. So it appears to be related to timing or something. The code in question is: (defn add-track [t] (common/ref-add tracks t)) (defn add-collection [coll] (doseq [track coll] (add-track track))) and (defn ref-add [ref value] (dosync (ref-set ref (conj @ref value)))) where coll is extracted from this function: (defn tracks-by-album [album] (sort sort-tracks (filter #(= (:album %) album) @tracks))) so it does appear to be the tracks-by-album function from the stack trace. I just don't see why it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.

  • ASP.Net MVC View and Controller file structure

    - by Jit
I am very confused the View and corresponding controller has to be set in MVC 1.0 project structure. Currently in a default application we have About.aspx page under Home folder and all the controller action is handled in HomeController. This controller mixes up Home action and About action. It makes things messy. I like to have clear separation of my controller. Like to have one About Controller and HomeCotroller separately. For it I have create another folder "About" under view folder and place Aboput.aspx in it , otherwise we will get the error below. How can I achieve it ?? I like to have exact folder structure as in View, same as in Cotroller. The view 'About' or its master could not be found. The following locations were searched: ~/Views/About/About.aspx ~/Views/About/About.ascx ~/Views/Shared/About.aspx ~/Views/Shared/About.ascx Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.InvalidOperationException: The view 'About' or its master could not be found. The following locations were searched: ~/Views/About/About.aspx ~/Views/About/About.ascx ~/Views/Shared/About.aspx ~/Views/Shared/About.ascx I like to have folders like \iew\About.aspx and Cotroller\AboutController.cs or \View\Info\About.aspx and \Controller\Info\AboutController.cs. This will make my project and code very cleanly placed and good to maintain. Thanks in advance for helping

  • WCF/MSMQ Transport Security with Certificates

    - by user104295
Hi there, my goal is to secure the communication between MSMQ Queue Managers – I don’t want unknown clients sending messages to my MSMQ server. I have spent many hours now trying to get Transport security working for the net.msmq binding in WCF, where MSMQ is in Workgroup mode and the client and server do not have Active Directory… so I’m using certificates. I have created a new X.509 certificate, called Kristan and put it into the “Trusted people” store on the server and into the My store of Current User of the client. The error I’m getting is: An error occurred while sending to the queue: Unrecognized error -1072824272 (0xc00e0030).Ensure that MSMQ is installed and running. If you are sending to a local queue, ensure the queue exists with the required access mode and authorization. Using smartsniff, I see that there’s no attempted connection with the remote MSMQ, however, it’s an error probably coming from the local queue manager. The stack trace is: at System.ServiceModel.Channels.MsmqOutputChannel.OnSend(Message message, TimeSpan timeout) at System.ServiceModel.Channels.OutputChannel.Send(Message message, TimeSpan timeout) at System.ServiceModel.Dispatcher.OutputChannelBinder.Send(Message message, TimeSpan timeout) at System.ServiceModel.Channels.ServiceChannel.Call(String action, Boolean oneway, ProxyOperationRuntime operation, Object[] ins, Object[] outs, TimeSpan timeout) at System.ServiceModel.Channels.ServiceChannelProxy.InvokeService(IMethodCallMessage methodCall, ProxyOperationRuntime operation) at System.ServiceModel.Channels.ServiceChannelProxy.Invoke(IMessage message) The code:- EndpointAddress endpointAddress = new EndpointAddress(new Uri(endPointAddress)); NetMsmqBinding clientBinding = new NetMsmqBinding(); clientBinding.Security.Mode = NetMsmqSecurityMode.Transport; clientBinding.Security.Transport.MsmqAuthenticationMode = MsmqAuthenticationMode.Certificate; clientBinding.Security.Transport.MsmqProtectionLevel = System.Net.Security.ProtectionLevel.Sign; clientBinding.ExactlyOnce = false; clientBinding.UseActiveDirectory = false; // start new var channelFactory = new ChannelFactory<IAsyncImportApi>(clientBinding, endpointAddress); channelFactory.Credentials.ClientCertificate.SetCertificate("CN=Kristan", StoreLocation.CurrentUser, StoreName. My); The queue is flagged as ‘Authenticated’ on the server. I have checked the effect of this and if I turn off all security in the client send, then I get ‘Signature is invalid’ – which is understandable and shows that it’s definitely looking for a sig. Are there are special ports that I need to check are open for cert-based msmq auth? thanks Kris

  • Spring Test / JUnit problem - unable to load application context

    - by HDave
I am using Spring for the first time and must be doing something wrong. I have a project with several Bean implementations and now I am trying to create a test class with Spring Test and JUnit. I am trying to use Spring Test to inject a customized bean into the test class. Here is my test-applicationContext.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <beans xmlns="............."> <bean id="MyUuidFactory" class="com.myapp.UuidFactory" scope="singleton" > <property name="typeIdentifier" value="CLS" /> </bean> <bean id="ThingyImplTest" class="com.myapp.ThingyImplTest" scope="singleton"> <property name="uuidFactory"> <idref local="MyUuidFactory" /> </property> </bean> </beans> The injection of MyUuidFactory instance goes along with the following code from within the test class: private UuidFactory uuidFactory; public void setUuidFactory(UuidFactory uuidFactory) { this.uuidFactory = uuidFactory; } However, when I go to run the test (in Eclipse or command line) I get the following error (stack trace omitted for brevity): Caused by: org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'MyImplTest' defined in class path resource [test-applicationContext.xml]: Initialization of bean failed; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.ConversionNotSupportedException: Failed to convert property value of type 'java.lang.String' to required type 'com.myapp.UuidFactory' for property 'uuidFactory'; nested exception is java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot convert value of type [java.lang.String] to required type [com.myapp.UuidFactory] for property 'uuidFactory': no matching editors or conversion strategy found Funny thing is, the Eclipse/Spring XML editor shows errors of I misspell any of the types or idrefs. If I leave the bean in, but comment out the dependency injection, everything work until I get a NullPointerException while running the test...which makes sense.

  • WCF Security in a Windows Service

    - by Alphonso
I have a WCF service which can run as Console App and a Windows Service. I have recently copied the console app up to a W2K3 server with the following security settings: <wsHttpBinding> <binding name="ServiceBinding_Security" transactionFlow="true" > <security mode="TransportWithMessageCredential" > <message clientCredentialType="UserName" /> </security> </binding> </wsHttpBinding> <serviceCredentials> <userNameAuthentication userNamePasswordValidationMode="Custom" customUserNamePasswordValidatorType="Common.CustomUserNameValidator, Common" /> </serviceCredentials> Security works fine with no problems. I have exactly the same code, but running in a windows service and I get the following error when I try to call any of the methods from a client: System.ServiceModel.Security.MessageSecurityException was unhandled Message="An unsecured or incorrectly secured fault was received from the other party. See the inner FaultException for the fault code and detail." Source="mscorlib" StackTrace: Server stack trace: at System.ServiceModel.Channels.SecurityChannelFactory`1.SecurityRequestChannel.ProcessReply(Message reply, SecurityProtocolCorrelationState correlationState, TimeSpan timeout) ...... (lots of stacktrace info - not very useful) InnerException: System.ServiceModel.FaultException Message="An error occurred when verifying security for the message." The exception tells me nothing. I'm assuming that it has something to do with acces to system resources from the Windows Service. I've tried running it under the same account as the console app, but no luck. Does anyone have any ideas?

  • Eclipse throwing error when copying and pasting

    - by hoffmandirt
I am using Eclipse 3.5 SR2 for Java EE developers. Each time I press control+C or control+V for the first time after I open a file I get an error. After I close the error, I can successfully copy and paste. The error message made me believe that it was related to the Mylyn plugin, but I uninstalled it and still no difference. Has anyone else experience this problem? I also have the subclipse, adobe flex builder, and maven plugins installed. The 'org.eclipse.mylyn.tasks.ui.hyperlinks.detectors.url' extension from plug-in 'org.eclipse.mylyn.tasks.ui' to the 'org.eclipse.ui.workbench.texteditor.hyperlinkDetectors' extension point failed to load the hyperlink detector. Plug-in org.eclipse.mylyn.tasks.ui was unable to load class org.eclipse.mylyn.internal.tasks.ui.editors.TaskUrlHyperlinkDetector. An error occurred while automatically activating bundle org.eclipse.mylyn.tasks.ui (520).
