Lighttpd rewriting files and directories

I'm trying to do url rewriting with Lighttpd. I have what I need partially working. Right now I have this: http://domain.com/name/a/123 which rewrites to http://domain.com/name/a.php?pid=123 I do this with this rewrite-once rule: "^/name/a/([^/]+)"= "/name/a.php?pid=$1" That php page has external resources that are not getting rewritten such as the JavaScript and CSS files. Is there a way I can also have the rewrite do the following? http://domain.com/name/a/js/file.js = http://domain.com/name/js/file.js

ASP.NET 2.0 and 4.0 seem to treat the root url differently in Forms Authentication

If have the following web.config: <configuration> <system.web> <authentication mode="Forms"> <forms name="MembershipCookie" loginUrl="Login.aspx" protection="All" timeout="525600" slidingExpiration="true" enableCrossAppRedirects="true" path="/" /> </authentication> <authorization> <deny users="?" /> </authorization> </system.web> <location path="Default.aspx"> <system.web> <authorization> <allow users="*"/> </authorization> </system.web> </location> </configuration> The application is an ASP.NET 2.0 application running on Windows 2008R2/IIS7.5. If the site's application pool is configured to run ASP.NET 2.0 and I browse to http://example.com then Default.aspx is rendered as you'd expect from the rules above. However if the application pool is set to run ASP.NET 4.0 I am redirected to the login page. If I explicitly specify http://example.com/default.aspx then all is good and default.aspx renders. I've tried rewriting / -> /default.aspx (using IIS UrlRewriter 2.0) but the result is still the same, I get kicked to the login page. I've also tried this with an ASP.NET 4.0 application with the same result (which is where the problem initially arose). The reason I tried this with a 2.0 application was to see if there was a change in behaviour, and it seems that / is handled differently in 4.0. So to summarise, using the configuration above the following is observed: ASP.NET Version Url Behaviour ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.0 http://example.com Renders Default.aspx 2.0 http://example.com/Default.aspx Renders Default.aspx 4.0 http://example.com Redirects to Login.aspx 4.0 http://example.com/Default.aspx Renders Default.aspx Is this a bug/breaking change or have I missed something glaringly obvious?

Preface: This works on one Oracle 11gR1 (Solaris 64) database and not on a second and we can't figure out the difference between the two databases. SELECT content FROM html WHERE url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_National_Parks_by_state" AND xpath="//a/text()" does not work, whereas SELECT * FROM html WHERE url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_National_Parks_by_state" AND xpath="//a/text()" does. SELECT content FROM html WHERE url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_National_Parks_by_state" AND xpath="//a" also works, it seems YQL has a bug, or am I missing something?

How can I write a "user can only access own profile page" type of security check in Play Framework?

I have a Play framework application that has a model like this: A Company has one and only one User associated with it. I have URLs like http://www.example.com/companies/1234, http://www.example.com/companies/1234/departments, http://www.example.com/companies/1234/departments/employees and so on. The numbers are the company id's, not the user id's. I want that normal users (not admins) should only be able to access their own profile pages, not other people's profile pages. So a user associated with the company with id 1234 should not be able to access the URL http://www.example.com/companies/6789 I tried to accomplish this by overriding Secure.check() and comparing the request parameter "id" to the ID of the company associated with the logged in user. However, this obviously fails if the parameter is called anything else than "id". Does anyone know how this could be accomplished?

But what I want to know is, is this legal? I've been supplied the font "Lubalin Graph Std" and told to use this for headers on the website I'm creating. I can upload the font file to fontsquirrel.com and use this to display headers in this font across the website - but I'm worried we'll get into trouble for doing this. What should I do?

Parameters not being passed into template when using the .Net transform classes

I am using the .Net XslCompiledTranform to run some simple XSLT (see below for a simplified example). The example XSLT is meant to do simply show the value of the parameter that is passed in to the template. The output is what I expect it to be (i.e. <result xmlns:p1="http://www.doesnotexist.com"> <valueOfParamA>valueA</valueOfParamA> </result> when I use Saxon 9.0, but when I use XslCompiledTransform (XslTransform) in .net I get <result xmlns:p1="http://www.doesnotexist.com"> <valueOfParamA></valueOfParamA> </result> The problem is that that the parameter value of paramA is not being passed into the template when I use the .Net classes. I completely stumped as to why. when I step through in Visual Studio, the debugger says that the template will be called with paramA='valueA' but when execution switches to the template the value of paramA is blank. Can anyone explain why this is happening? Is this a bug in the MS implementation or (more likely) am I doing something that is forbidden in XSLT? Any help greatly appreciated. Why do browsers use my saved password for all forms in the one site?

Is there a way to limit the url of saved credentials in browsers? For example, if I save a username and password for http://www.website.com/login can I make it so that the rest of the forms in the site don't use these details? http://www.website.com/members, http://www.website.com/admin etc... I'm aware of the autocomplete attribute but I don't want to turn off autocomplete entirely. I would like it if the browser remembered the login details per form or url.

What can I do? Why is this not valid?

How to secure login and member area with SSL certificate?

Background: I have a asp.net webapplication project that should contain a public and a member area. Now I want to implement a SSL decription to secure communication between the client and the server. (In the university we have a unsecured wireless network and you can use a wlan sniffer to read username/password. I do not want to have this security problem for my application, so I thought of a ssl decription) The application is running on a IIS 7.5. It it possible to have one webapp that has unsecured pages (like the public area) and a secured area (like the member area, which requires a login)? If yes, how can I relealise the communication between these too areas? Example: My webapp is hosted on http://foo.abc. I have pages like http://foo.abc/default.aspx and http://foo.abc/foo.aspx. In the same project is page like /member/default.aspx which is protected by a login on the page http://foo.abc/login.aspx. So I would need to implement SSL for the page /login.aspx and all pages in /member/ How can I do that? I just found out how to create SSL certificates in IIS 7.5 and how to add such a binding to a webapp. How how can I tell my webapp which page should be called with https and not with http. What is the best practise there?

What does LAME text does in MP3 file?

I see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP3 that MP3 file consists of MP3 headers interchanged with MP3 data. MP3 header consist of few bytes. But here is my MP3 file dump with ID3 tag cut. Header is highlighted with blue. You can see that "LAME3.96" text is highlighted with green. What does it does there? Is this a part of MP3 elementary stream? Or this is the part of some headers I didn't tag?

The one that is exists doesn't contain almost all things I'm going to use. Can someone help me what I'm doing wrong or may be someone have working example

How do I POST/GET from rails to API with either ActiveResource or rest-client (preferred)?

Hi, this is a pretty basic question but I'm not entirely clear how to do this. I am trying to use a third-party service that has RESTful service. The service is called Postful. But I'm not clear what exactly to do? I've looked at ActiveResource (http://api.rubyonrails.org/classes/ActiveResource/Base.html) and rest-client, but I'm still not clear exactly what steps, code, and files to create. http://www.postful.com/service/mail is one of the services (details found http://www.postful.com/developer/guide#rest ), but to upload an image I have to post the following (but I'm not sure how I actually do this?). Aspect Oriented Programming Library/Framework for Actionscript 3?

I'm looking for a full featured AOP Library for Actionscript 3. The following projects I noticed so far, but they all seem to have their problems: - http://farmcode.org/page/Sodality.aspx (looks most promising so far, however it requires you to create a whole new class for every AOP "call" I believe, and it forces you to follow quite a lot of restrictions, anyone has experience with it? - http://code.google.com/p/loom-as3/ (this one is discontinued) - http://code.google.com/p/floxy/ (dynamic proxy generation? this isn't really AOP as I know it, right?) - http://code.google.com/p/flemit/ (dynamic byte code generation? this is something AOP needs I think, but not the full featured AOP framework I am looking for) Does anyone know of a better solution? Or does anyone have any experiences with AOP in Actionscript 3? Best regards, Tom
