    Using MySQL, I have three tables: projects: ID name 1 "birthday party" 2 "soccer match" 3 "wine tasting evening" 4 "dig out garden" 5 "mountainbiking" 6 "making music" batches: ID projectID templateID when 1 1 1 7 days before 2 1 1 1 day before 3 4 2 21 days before 4 4 1 7 days before 5 5 1 7 days before 6 3 5 7 days before 7 3 3 14 days before 8 5 1 14 days before templates: ID message 1 "Hi, I'd like to invite ..." 2 "Dear Sir, Madam, ..." 3 "Can you please ..." 4 "Would you like to ..." 5 "To all dear friends ..." 6 "Does any of you guys ..." I would like to display a table of templates and the number of projects they're used in. So, the result should be: templateID projectCount 1 3 2 1 3 1 4 0 5 1 6 0 I've tried all kinds of SQL queries using various JOINs, but I guess this is too complicated for me. Is it possible to get this result using a single SQL statement?

  • Can't boot after recent system update

    Dear all, After recent system update (I think I saw something kernelish but don't really remember) my Ubuntu becomes unbootable. When I select "Ubuntu" from the boot menu, I'm greeted by a GRUB console and I don't know what to do (typing help shows some helpful commands for gods, unfortunately I'm a mere mortal). So guys, Im having a small issue with D3DXVec3Unproject, because I'm currently using Directx 11 and not 10, and the requirements for this function is: D3DXVECTOR3 *pOut, CONST D3DXVECTOR3 *pV, CONST D3D10_VIEWPORT *pViewport, CONST D3DXMATRIX *pProjection, CONST D3DXMATRIX *pView, CONST D3DXMATRIX *pWorld As you may have noticed, it requires a D3D10_VIEWPORT, and I'm using a Directx 11 viewport, D3D11_VIEWPORT.     I have two models : User,Project public class Project{ private int id; @NotEmpty(message="Project Name can not be empty") private String name; private User manager; private User operator; //getter/setter omitted } public class User{ private int id; private String name; //omit other properties and getter/setter } Now, when I create a new Project, I will submit the following parameters to ProjectController: projects?name=jhon&manager.id=1&operator.id=2... Then I will create a new Project object and insert it to db. However I have to validate the id of the manager and operator is valid,that's to say I will validate that if there is matched id in the user table. So I want to know how to implement this kind of validation?

  • Drag-n-Drop on contentEditable elements

    There are numerous WYSIWYG editors available on the internet, but I'm yet to find one that implements some form of drag-n-drop implementation. It is easy to create one's own editor, but I want to the user to be able to drag elements (ie. tokens) from outside the editable area and have them drop it at a location of their choice inside the editable area. It is easy to inject html at a specific location of an editable element, but how do one determine where the caret should be when the user is dragging a DIV over some element in the editable area. To better illustrate what I'm trying to explain, see the following scenario. The editable area (either an IFRAME in edit mode or a DIV with its contentEditable attribute set to true) already contains the following text: "Dear , please take note of ...." The user now drags an element representing some token from a list of elements, over the editable area, moving the cursor over the text until the caret appear just before the comma (,) in the text as shown above. When the user releases the mouse button at that location, HTML will be injected which could result in something like this: "Dear {UserFirstName}, please take note of ...". I do not know if anyone has ever done anything similar to this, or at least know of how one would go about doing this using JavaScript. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
