    Is there a Generic USB TouchScreen Driver 12.04? Device 03eb:201c I've been looking for 4 days solid (not very skilled) and can't find a solution. I have a generic tablet: C97- Atom N2600 9.7" 2GB 32GB Bluetooth WiFi WebCam Ext.3G Windows 7 Tablet PC Using 12.04 and cannot find a driver. I installed android and the touchscreen works but still lots of other bugs. Oh well, stuck with Windows 7 and not happy about it. Will keep trying, but too much time wasted already.   • Unable to retrieve the complete description string of the event log record

    Hi All, I have an MFC application that reads and displays event log records using the ::ReadEventLog() API. The problem is with reading the "Description" message string of the event log record. The MFC application is unable to read the complete "Description" message string and displays only some part of it. However the Windows System Event Log Viewer reads and displays the complete "Description" message string correctly. I have ensured that my MFC application reads the entire "Description" message string by retrieving all the strings as provided by the "NumStrings" and "StringOffset" member variables of the EVENTLOGRECORD structure and merging all of them. Also as mentioned in MSDN my application loads the Source Name specific message library file (whose path is specified in the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog\Application[SourceName]) that further contains additional message string information and merges it with the earlier read strings. I am still unable to get the entire "Description" message string. Please provide any help towards resolving the issue. Regards, Santosh.

    I'd like to use eventcreate from a batch file to log the results of a file copy job (robocopy). What I'd really like to do is use the output of the file copy job as the description of the event (/D of createevent). The trouble is, there are multiple lines in the file copy output, and I've only been able to get one line into a local variable or a pipe command. I've tried reading a local variable in from file, like set /P myVar=<temp.txt but it only gets the first line. How can I write multiple lines to the description of an event from a batch file?

  • See network computer description in Explorer

    When viewing the list of network computers in Windows Explorer on a Win 7 machine there appears to be no way of readily seeing the description field, which makes that pretty well useless. I believe this problem started with Vista but I'm seeing it for the first time because I was fortunate enough to skip over Vista. We're currently rolling out Win 7 on new boxes and although I'm changing the naming system to something more sensible, the old boxes have names such as FWS01, FWS02, etc. Managing a network of computers with such names is made more difficult when you can't readily see who's machine each one is. Googling the problem brought up a workaround involving creating a shortcut on an XP machine and copying that to the Win 7 box but that's a long way from ideal. Is there some kind of hack that can be applied to machines, the operator of which needs to be able to see the description field?

    I remember someone once saying it was useful (for SEO purposes) to include your address and contact details in the site's Meta tags. I don't recall if he meant in in the meta description or in another type of meta tag. Have you hear of this strategy before? I believe the person implied that Google would tie all of your Local Listings together for a better SEO score if you listed matching contact details in your meta tags.

My website is dynamic and has two types of Pages: Category and Product There are two tables in the database for Category and Product. Looking into the future, I added these fields beforehand to both the tables : -- MetaTitle--MetaDescription--MetaKeywords On both the Category and Product pages, these values are retrieved and set as following <meta name="description" content="@ViewBag.MetaDescription" /> <meta name="title" content="@ViewBag.MetaTitle" /> <meta name="keywords" content="@ViewBag.MetaKeywords" /> For better SEO how will you set up these meta tags. Will you include the site name in all three fields ? Right now, the Product page's MetaTitle, MetaDescription and MetaKeywords don't include the website name. If possible, can you provide me sample values that should be set for better SEO performance keeping the business name in mind.

I want the descriptions to appear rather than the enum names. How can I accomplish this? (There are no constraints on the class/enum/attributes; I can change them at will.)

    Possible Duplicate: Do meta keywords have any impact on ranking algorithms? I am fairly new to the whole Webmaster Tools concept. I have been looking at all the different options, such as crawl errors, HTML improvements etc... I have been looking at the Duplicate Meta Descriptions and Short Meta Descriptions, was wondering if anyone could suggest ideas on how to go about improving this. It seems that all the Duplicates are from the URL Title and the short description. It would seem to me that most people would have information regarding the page with the same keywords as their titles. Heres an example of one: These are the ultimate hampers in taste, quality and value. Amongst this range of luxury hampers ar /food-hampers/food-hampers-over-100.html /thank-you-gifts/large-gifts-over-100.html To get to the point I just want to know do these things really matter? Would they have a real consequence on my sites rankings? My sites have been falling down the rankings since early this year and I have really started to look at Google Analytics and Webmaster tools to try and indicate certain problems. I have researched the Internet and it seems that some people don't bother and others do!! I know that Stackoverflow has 100s+ people who have went through the above and I would really appricate if they could give me some tips etc. Or in the END does it really matter?? :D

  • Sharepoint RSS feed description fields as elements

    Hello, This is my first time working with RSS but I am fluent with XML/XSL. I have a RSS feed that I am pulling from a list in Sharepoint. The sample XML is below. The RSS description element parses the various columns (Body, Expires, Attachments) that are in the Sharepoint list automatically. I know that from the list I can control which fields are included in the description, but this is not what I am looking to do. Is there any way to force the fields to come through in an XML element format instead of the CDATA that converted to HTML? For example, I may want to check a priority field and if it is important when applying the XSL I would bold red it or something.   • Cant get description rss tag data with javascript

    I'm currently making a widget to take and display items from a feed. I have this working for the most part, but for some reason the data within the tag within the item comes back as empty, but I get the data in the and tags no problem. feed is and xmlhttp.responseXML object. var items = feed.getElementsByTagName("item"); for (var i=0; i<10; i++){ container = document.getElementById('list'); new_element = document.createElement('li'); title = items[i].getElementsByTagName("title")[0].firstChild.nodeValue; link = items[i].getElementsByTagName("link")[0].firstChild.nodeValue; alert(items[i].getElementsByTagName("description")[0].firstChild.nodeValue); new_element.innerHTML = "<a href=\""+link+"\">"+title+"</a> "; container.insertBefore(new_element, container.firstChild); } I have no idea why it wouldn't be working for the tag and would be for the other tags.     I am attempting to split strings like the following: An item (Item A) which may contain 89798 numbers and letters @ $550.00 4 of Item B @ $420.00 476584 of Item C, with a larger quantity and different currency symbol @ £420.00 into: array( 0 => 1 1 => "some item which may contain 89798 numbers and letters" 2 => $550.00 ); does that make sense? I am looking for a regex pattern which will split the quantity, description, and price (including symbol). the strings will always be: qty x description @ price+symbol so i assume the regex would be something like: `(match a number and only a number) x (get description letters and numbers before the @ symbol) @ (match the currency symbol and price)` How should I approach this?

Using the ProjectService.getVersions method we can get an Array of RemoteVersion objects but these RemoteVersion objects do not contain the description field. http://docs.atlassian.com/rpc-jira-plugin/latest/com/atlassian/jira/rpc/soap/service/ProjectService.html#getVersions(com.opensymphony.user.User, java.lang.String) Will I have to expose my own web web service via a Jira plugin to get this?
