I would like to map ip address to specific localhost interfaces (e.g. 23.45.66.77 = 127.0.3.3). For named hosts I can use the hosts file. Naturally this doesn't work for IP address.
This has to work in windows, the only option I've found so far is implementing a TAP/TUN driver like openvpn does.
Are there any other options?
I can not remove a trial version of MS Expression Blend 3 from my pc. I am always getting the same error: "Error writing to C:\Config.msi\6e6288.rbf." The name of the file varies. On the error message window there are two buttons: "Retry" and "Cancel", but clicking on any of them gives the same result - uninstall is cancelled and everything is rolling back.
I tried to change access permissions to that folder in many ways, but result all the same.
Linux netfilter iptables Conntrack table already has records for bytes and packets on both directions. Is there any way to log those values to a log file while a connection is closing by netfilter.

I received a out of memory error
SQL Error: 0, SQLState: 53200
from postgres while trying to upload a 10MB file into a single row with a column of blob-type bytea.
Which configuration parameters should be changed to allow inserts of this size, or should this work out of the box without modifications?
Is there an option like in informix-db to create so called blob-spaces?
I have an FTP connection active through the Map Network Drive option in Windows 7 64-bit.
When navigating the remote directory, I see no way to edit files. Windows is completely ignoring file-type associations and "opens" everything with my default browser.
Is there any way that I can simply edit these files?
I'm open to suggestions of other software as well, but from what I can see, NetDrive doesn't work with 64-bit.
When I install Fedora 19 with a kickstart file and via network, the generated ifcfg-eth0 file is genorated by the kickstart:
# Generated by parse-kickstart
However if I use the same kickstart file and install via a USB stick, the ifcfg file is generated by initrd.
# Generated by dracut initrd
The line in the kickstart file to set the network settings is as follows:
network --device=eth0 --bootproto=dhcp --hostname=SOMEHOSTNAME
Is there away to keep network device settings set in the kickstart file when not installing via network?

On the one hand I have a lot of tar files created with gnu format, and on the other hand I have a tool that only supports pax (aka posix) format. I am looking for an easy way to convert the existing tar files to pax format - without extracting them to the file system and re-create the archives.
GNU tar supports both formats. However, I haven't found an easy way to the conversion.
How can I convert the existing gnu tar files to pax?
I want to programatically rename a file and it could be open. It's a log file. When I was testing my code the rename part didn't work because the log file TestPro.log was open by the TAF (Test Automation Framework).
When TestPro is running and I try to delete the file I get the error "Cannot delete because is being used by another person or program."
Is there any way how to rename a file (programatically) that is open the way the log file was?
I followed the steps here to set up Sharepoint integration with reporting services (SSRS) using native mode. (i.e., get a report explorer and viewer web parts)
However after adding the cabinet file e.g.,
STSADM.EXE -o addwppack -filename "C:\ Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Reporting Services\SharePoint\RSWebParts.cab" -globalinstall
I still don't see report explorer in the web parts list. I'm very stuck and confused :-(
I have a scheduled backup that backs up the shared files and system state. It is set to run as "normal" mode. However, when it runs it only makes a 2K size file when it should be like 60GB.What rookie mistake am I making?
I just tried http://www.filedropper.com/ with a 400 Mb file. It succeeded to upload but in the end didn't redirect to the link :(
So any other service like this that works better (please avoid giving me sites with tons of porn ads :))
I need to render SVG files to other file formats (.png, for example.) What's a good application for performing that render or conversion?
Specifically, I need an application that runs on Windows.
I'd welcome suggestions for other platforms, as well.
Per http://askubuntu.com/a/107976 I tried tar xf php-5.6.0RC4.tar.xz and tar -xJf php-5.6.0RC4.tar.xz and in both cases I get the following:
tar (child): xz: Cannot exec: No such file or directory
tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Here's php-5.6.0RC4.tar.xz:

I'm running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
I have a key based login for a server. The IP and DNS of the server can change, because it is hosted on Amazon.
Is there a way to configure the ssh client config to use the specific key file for this server only, when the fingerprint of the server matches?
In other words: Normaly servers are matched by IP or DNS in the ssh client config. I want to do this by fingerprint, becaus IP and DNS can change.
I have a zip file here, and i want to determine how it was compressed (the specific algorithm, properties used to apply that algorithm, etc.). What software can do this for me?
Hello guys,
can somebody tell me how to pipe the output of the serial port to a file in Windows?
In Linux the command would be:
cat /dev/ttyS0 > /opt/logs/Serial.log
Thanks in advance
