  For a markup like this: <div id="set1"> <div id="100">a div</div> <div id="101">another div</div> <div id="102">another div 2</div> <div id="120">same div</div> </div> <div id="set2"> <div id="105">a different div> <div id="101">another div</div> <div id="110">more divs</div> <div id="120">same div</div> </div> As you can see both #set1 and #set2 contain 2 divs with the same id (101, 120). Is it possible somehow with jQuery to find the common elements and add a class to the divs in #set1 that have the same id with divs in #set2? In other words after the script run the above code would look like this: <div id="set1"> <div id="100">a div</div> <div id="101" class="added">another div</div> <div id="102">another div 2</div> <div id="120" class="added">same div</div> </div> <div id="set2"> <div id="105">a different div> <div id="101">another div</div> <div id="110">more divs</div> <div id="120">same div</div> </div> EDIT playing around with it i did something but i am not sure it can go anywhere. • IE is doing strange things with JQuery

  So ... The thing is, the code works in FireFox, no problems. But when I open the same page, it gives me the following error: "Undefined is null or not an object." But when I copy the code to a localhost page, it works fine. Also when I clear my cache in IE it works, but only once, if I refresh after that one load, it gives me the same error. • Difficulty with jQuery and input keydown event

  I am making a simple JavaScript enhanced list. I want it to be a list of inputs, each with an 'Add' and 'Remove' button. If the user clicks 'Add', a new li will be added. If the user clicks 'Remove', that li will be removed. It works fine, except for hitting "enter" in an <input>. Currently, it always causes the Remove.click event handler to fire, unless there's only one item in the list. I'm not sure why. How can I suppress this? Here is the complete jQuery. My attempt to fix the "enter" issue is commented out, and it doesn't work. • jQuery center multiple dynamic images in different sized containers

  So I've found similar questions but none that answer all the questions I have and I know there must be a simple jQuery answer to this. I've got multiple images that are being dynamically placed in their own containing div that have overflow:hidden, they need to fill their containing divs and be centered(horizontally and vertically) also. The containing divs will be different sizes as well. So in short: multiple different sized images fill and center in containing div. containing divs will be different sizes. will be used multiple times on a page. • Firefox not detecting Flash 11

  I installed the Flash 11 plugin using the software center (and have also removed the reinstalled it via command-line in the terminal), yet Firefox still claims the latest version of the plugin I have is 10. (And just to clarify, I have been sure to reboot both Firefox and the entire computer after installing). On further investigation (this may be a red herring, pardon) I ran the uname -a command-line in terminal to assure that I was running the 64-bit version of Ubuntu, and received this feedback: 3.0.0-13-generic #22-Ubuntu SMP Wed Nov 2 13:25:36 UTC 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux I don't understand the series "i686 i686 i386". Which applies to my version of Ubuntu? Does this mean I've accidentally installed 32-bit Ubuntu? Very much a beginner here - I've combed the threads but have so little understanding what my exact issue is that I haven't been able to find an answer.

• Django inlineformset validation and delete

  Hi, Can someone tell me if a form in an inlineformset should go through validation if the DELETE field is checked. I have a form that uses an inlineformset and when I check the DELETE box it fails because the required fields are blank. If I put data in the fields it will pass validation and then be deleted. Is that how it is supposed to work, I would have thought that if it is marked for delete it would bypass the validation for that form. Regards Andrew Follow up - but I would still appreciate some others opinions/help What I have figured out is that for validation to work the a formset form must either be empty or complete(valid) otherwise it will have errors when it is created and will not be deleted. As I have a couple of hidden fields in my formset forms and they are pre-populated when the page loads via javascript the form fails validation on the other required fields which might still be blank. The way I have gotten around this by adding in a check in the add_fields that tests if the DELETE input is True and if it is it makes all fields on the form not required, which means it passes validation and will then delete. def add_fields(self, form, index) #add other fields that are required.... deleteValue = form.fields['DELETE'].widget.value_from datadict(form.data, form.files, form.add_prefix('DELETE')) if bool(deleteValue) or deleteValue == '': for name, field in form.fields.items(): form.fields[name].required= False This seems to be an odd way to do things but I cannot figure out another way. Is there a simpler way that I am missing? I have also noticed that when I add the new form to my page and check the Delete box, there is no value passed back via the request, however an existing form (one loaded from the database) has a value of on when the Delete box is checked. • Can't get automated release working with Hudson + Git + Maven Release Plugin

  As the title says, I'm trying to get an automated release job working on Hudson. It's a Maven project, and all the code is in Git. Manually, I do the release on my personal machine like so: git checkout master mvn -B release:prepare release:perform This works perfectly. The Maven release plugin properly pushes the release tag to the origin repository as well as the next commit that bumps the version to the next SNAPSHOT. However, when I run this same Maven job through Hudson (either by creating my own "release" job or by using the M2 Release Plugin) it doesn't work so well. The release tag gets pushed out to the origin repository, and the release gets pushed out to our Nexus repository, but the subsequent commit that bumps the version to the next SNAPSHOT doesn't go out. Furthermore, the "master" branch in the origin repository doesn't get changed at all. I've looked in Hudson's workspace for the job, however, and the version has been updated. After looking at the output from the Hudson job, it appears that the Git plugin does not actually checkout "master", but rather it's SHA1 id. That is, if the "master" branch label points to commit "f6af76f541f1a1719e9835cdb46a183095af6861", Hudson does git checkout -f f6af76f541f1a1719e9835cdb46a183095af6861 instead of git checkout -f master As a result, the changes that the Maven release plugin is making are not actually on any branch (certainly not on "master") and these changes don't make it to the origin repository. It runs on the right code, but bookkeeping-wise, the changes seem to get lost because no branch label points to them. Has anybody gotten the Hudson + Git + Maven Release Plugin combo to work properly? Is there some additional configuration somewhere I can set to make this happen? Or is this a bug in the Hudson Git plugin? Thanks in advance.

What is happening though is that when I move onto the language list, and I go past Germany (~50% down the list?), the hover() loses focus and closes the original menu, which closes the language menu. Any idea's what is causing the issue? Any ideas how to fix the issue? I have tried the hoverIntent() plugin as well to no avail.

• Plugin-like architecture in .NET

  I'm trying to implement a plug-in like application. I know there are already several solution out there but this is just going to be proof of the concept, nothing more. The idea would be to make the application main application almost featureless by default and then let the plugins know about each other, having them have implement all the needed features. A couple of issues arise: I want the plugins at runtime to know about each other through my application. That wouldn't mean that at code-time they couldn't reference other plugin's assemblies so they could use its interfaces, only that plugin-feature initialization should be always through my main app. For example: if I have both plugins X and Y loaded and Y wants to use X's features, it should "register" its interest though my application to use its features. I'd have to have a kind of "dictionary" in my application where I store all the loaded plugins. After registering for interest in my application, plugin Y would get a reference to X so it could use it. Is this a good approach? When coding plugin Y that uses X, I'd need to reference X's assembly, so I can program against its interface. That has the issue of versioning. What if I code my plugin Y against an outdated version of plugin X? Should I always use a "central" place where all assemblies are, having there always the up to date versions of the assemblies? Are there by chance any books out there that specifically deal with these kinds of designs for .NET? Thanks

  Hey! I've got a quick question about the jQuery UI DatePicker. When I load the page, defaultDate: 0 will work fine with selecting the current day's date. I would like to create a 'fake' click on the date so it will execute my JavaScript function and retrieve information from the database. • Jquery fadeOut looking different in FF than in Chrome/Safari

  Hey all, i have a page that when a user desides to delete a company, it fades out using the jquery fadeOut() command. This works great and does as it should in FireFox but for some reason it doesn't do the same in Chrome/Safari browsers. The problem is that i have a png image overlay on top of the company logo image that also fades out with the company logo. But if there are more than one company logo on the page, it moves the others in the place where the one got deleted. Like i said, it works fine (and as it should) in Firefox and even IE (SHOCK!) but not in Chrome or Safari. • iPad: Mobile Safari, HTML5 <video>, and jquery transitions

  I'm building a simple proof-of-concept for an iPad-specific website that would use video transitions to bring users from section to section. For purposes of the proof of concept, each "section" is just an image with a semitransparent content text box positioned above it. There are just 2 sections, "home" and "contact", and they've got a transition video sandwiched between them via z-indexing. The idea for the proof of concept is that clicking on the "home" section causes it to disappear, followed by playback of the transition video, which (upon completion) disappears to reveal the "contact" section. Everything is working fine with this version of the demo on the iPad and on Safari for Windows and OS X. • JQuery - Adding Cells to Dynamic Tree Table

  I can't quite wrap my head around this one... A table like the one below is spit out by a renderer from some XML. The XML it comes from has a variable depth. (Please point out if I'm using the rowspans in a horrific manner as well, I just came to this table with some experimentation). <table border="1"> <tr> <td rowspan="12">> 1</td> </tr> <tr> <td rowspan="3">1 > 2</td> </tr> <tr> <td>1 > 2 > 5</td> </tr> <tr> <td>1 > 2 > 6</td> </tr> <tr> <td rowspan="3">1 > 3</td> </tr> <tr> <td>1 > 3 > 7</td> </tr> <tr> <td>1 > 3 > 8</td> </tr> <tr> <td rowspan="3">1 > 4</td> </tr> <tr> <td>1 > 4 > 9</td> </tr> <tr> <td>1 > 4 > 10</td> </tr> </table> What I'm trying to accomplish in JQuery is this... User clicks cell "1 2" (which will have an ID). An item is dynamically added to the third level, but UNDER "1 2 6". What I could do is just add another row underneath "1 2" and increase the rowspan from "1 2", but the new cell would then appear out of order amongst "1 2 5" and "1 2 6". I don't really need the exact code to do this, just something to stop my head from spinning around this...Thanks!

  I am trying to get show hide to work on multiple objects but I am unable to get it to work. Any help would be nice an much appreciated... I am lost on how to do this. • Does maven-release-plugin push tags to remote Git repository?

  When using the maven-release-plugin with Git, mvn release:prepare happily tags the release in the local repository. I'd expect mvn release:perform to push the tags to the remote repository, but this doesn't seem to happen. Am I mistaken? If not, is there an option to enable pushing release tags to the remote repository?

• Jquery getJSON cross domain problems

  I cant seem to get my JSON file to work when pulling it in from another domain using JQuerys getJSON. I have placed the callback part at the end of the url but still have no joy. Firebug tells me its a cross domain issue, which seems to make sense as if I place the json file locally the below code (excluding the ?jsoncallback=? works fine) Heres the Jquery part
