  • AdvancedDataGrid dynamic text Value Coloring - ItemRenderer problem

    In my AdvancedDataGrid, I am adding dynamic values to cells by dragging a cell value to other cells. While copying, I am setting the value to listData and setting the Red color to the value in ItemRenderer. Everything is working fine, but when I scroll down/up, the values remains in the cells where thay are supposed to be(as I am setting to listData) but the coloring behaves wierd(as I am trying to set the color in ItemRenderer). I don't want to store the color of the value, but I should be able to see the dynamically created values in Red color. Is there a way, I can do this? Do I need to set the color to actual dataprovider object and then check in ItemRenderer?   • Include at text file as is in (Python) Sphinx Docs

    (using Python-Sphinx Documentation tool) I have a .txt log file I'd like to build into _build/html unaltered. What do I need to alter in conf.py, index.rst, etc. Here is the layout: src/ index.rst some_doc.rst somefile.txt How do I get somefile.txt into the html build? I tried adding a line like this to index.rst: Contents: .. toctree:: :maxdepth: 2 some_doc "somefile.txt" hoping it would work by magic, but no magic here! Assuming this is even possible, what would I put in some_doc.rst to refer/link to that file? Note Yes, I'm aware I could put it in /static and just be done with it, but that seems like a total hack, and ugly.

    If I have large articles that need to be stored in a database, each associated with many tables would a NoSQL option help? Should I copy the 1000 char articles over multiple "buckets", duplicating them each time they are related to a bucket or should I use a normalized MySQL DB with lots of Memcache?

It does not even show the sortable icons on the column header, and nothing happens even if the header is clicked. Sorting does not work, whether loadonce is true or false. If I try Searching (after setting loadonce to true) for the column meta.status (other columns without dot notation is okay), then it throws up a javascript error like this. Any help? Thanks Moorthy

    I have a RichTextBox that I write a string to every time I click a Form button. The string ends with a newline so each time I add a string, it appends to the bottom of the RichTextBox. Each string begins with the string "Long" or "Short" and ends with Environment.NewLine. I'd like to color each line red if it beings with "Long" and blue if it begins with "Short". How can I do this?   • Run shell script using fabric and piping script text to shell's stdin

    Is there a way to execute a multi-line shell script by piping it to the remote shell's standard input in fabric? Or must I always write it to the remote filesystem, then run it, then delete it? I like sending to stdin as it avoids the temporary file. If there's no fabric API (and it seems like there is not based on my research), presumably I can just use the ssh module directly. Basically I wish fabric.api.run was not limited to a 1-line command that gets passed to the shell as a command line argument, but instead would take a full multi-line script and write it to the remote shell's standard input.

    Hi all, I was wondering if there is an algorithm to split a line into multiple lines, so that the resulting set of multiple lines fit into a square shape rather than a rectangle. Let me give some examples, Input: Hi this is a really long line. Output: Hi this is a really long line Input: a b c d e f Output: a b c d e f Input: This is really such looooooooooooooooooooong line.This is the end. Output: This is really such looooooooooooooooooooong line This is the end. If you see in the above examples, input line fits into a wide rectangle. But the output more or less fits into a square shape. Essentially what needs to be done here is simply count the number of characters in the line, take the square root of that number. Then put square root number of characters in each line. But in the above example, the splitting needs to be done by respecting word wraps instead of characters. Is there any standard algorithm for this? Any code examples/ pointers would be appreciated!

    Ok here is my problem : Before i start the description, let me to tell you that I have googled up a lot and I am posting this question for a good optimal solution :) i am building a rest service on WCF to get userProfiles... the user can filter userProfiles by giving something like userProfiles?location=London now i have the following method GetUserProfiles(string firstname, string lastname, string age, string location) the sql query string i built is: select firstname, lastname, .... from profiles where (firstName like '%{firstname}%') AND (lastName like '%{lastName}%') ....and so on with all variables being replaced by string formatter. Problem with this is that it filters any row having firstname, lastname, age or location having a null value.... doing something like (firstName like '%{firstName}%' OR firstName IS NULL) would be tedious and the statement would become unmaintanable! (in this example there are only 4 arguments, but in my actual method there are 10) What would be the best solution for this?....How is this situation usually handled? Database used : MySql

Expected Result : Columns = ItemID | Name | Field1 | Field2 | Field3 Each Row= ItemId | ItemName| Value1 | Value2 | Value3 Important concerns : 1: Number of fields per item are not known 2: I need one to write ONE query. 3: Query will be running on 100K records, so performance is concern. 4: I am using MySQL 5.0, so need solution for MYSQL Should I denormalize the tables if above query is not possible at all ? Any advice ?

    I've been working on this program for a few days now and I've implemented a few of the primary methods in my BinarySearchTree class such as insert and delete. Insert seemed to be working fine, but once I try to delete I kept getting errors. So after playing around with the code I wanted to test my compareTo methods. I created two new nodes and tried to compare them and I get this error: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ClassCastException: TreeNode cannot be cast to java.lang.Integer at java.lang.Integer.compareTo(Unknown Source) at TreeNode.compareTo(TreeNode.java:16) at BinarySearchTree.myComparision(BinarySearchTree.java:177) at main.main(main.java:14) Here is my class for creating the nodes: public class TreeNode<T> implements Comparable { protected TreeNode<T> left, right; protected Object element; public TreeNode(Object obj) { element=obj; left=null; right=null; } public int compareTo(Object node) { return ((Comparable) this.element).compareTo(node); } } Am I doing the compareTo method all wrong?     Using MS SQL Server.I have made a Stored Procedure naming "SP_Get_CallsLogged". I have a table named "TRN_Call", and it has one column named "CallTime" which is a DateTime. I have a web-page in my application where the User enters:- 1.StartDate (DateTime) 2.EndDate (DateTime) 3.Period(Daily/Weekly/Monthly) (varchar) (from DropDownList) I want to get the Record Count of those calls in my table *TRN_Call* on the basis of the specified Period(Daily/Weekly/Monthly) selected by user in the DropDownList. e.g. StartDate ='1/18/2010 11:10:46 AM' EndDate ='1/25/2010 01:10:46 AM' Period =Daily So the record count between these above mentioned dates(StartDate+EndDate) should come in a manner so that I can refer to those counts separately i.e. the following:- Date 1/18/2010 Records Found 5 Date 1/19/2010 Records Found 50 Date 1/20/2010 Records Found 15 Date 1/21/2010 Records Found 32 Date 1/22/2010 Records Found 12 Date 1/23/2010 Records Found 15 Date 1/24/2010 Records Found 17 Date 1/25/2010 Records Found 32 and send those Counts to the Web Application so that these counts could be listed then in the Crystal Reports.

    Last week I accidently externalized all my strings of my eclipse project. I need to revert this and my only hope is sed. I tried to create scripts but failed pathetically because I'm new with sed and this would be a very complicated operation. What I need to do is this: Strings in class.java file is currently in the following format(method) Messages.getString(<key>). Example : if (new File(DataSource.DEFAULT_VS_PATH).exists()) { for (int i = 1; i <= c; i++) { if (!new File(DataSource.DEFAULT_VS_PATH + Messages.getString("VSDataSource.89") + i).exists()) { //$NON-NLS-1$ getnewvfspath = DataSource.DEFAULT_VS_PATH + Messages.getString("VSDataSource.90") + i; //$NON-NLS-1$ break; } } } The key and matching Strings are in messages.properties file in the following format. VSDataSource.92=No of rows in db = VSDataSource.93=Verifying db entry : VSDataSource.94=DB is open VSDataSource.95=DB is closed VSDataSource.96=Invalid db entry for VSDataSource.97=\ removed.     Project Euler I have recently begun to solve some of the Project Euler riddles. I found the discussion forum in the site a bit frustrating (most of the discussions are closed and poorly-threaded), So I have decided to publish my Python solutions on launchpad for discussion. The problem is that it seems quite unethical to publish these solutions, as it would let other people gain reputation without doing the programming work, which the site deeply discourages. My Encryption problem I want to encrypt my answers so that only those who have already solved the riddles can see my code. The logical key would be the answer to the riddle, which is always numeric. In order to prevent brute-force attacks on my answers, I want to find an encryption algorithm that takes a significantly long time (few seconds) to run. Do you know any such algorithm? I would fancy a Python package, which I can attach to the code, over an external program that might have portability issues. Thanks, Adam

    Given a string in the format: XXX999999v99 (where X is any alpha character and v is any numeric character and v is a literal v character) how can I get a regex to match the numeric chatacters following the v? So far I've got 'v\d\d' which includes the v but ideally I'd like just the numeric part. As an aside does anyone know of a tool in which you can specify a string to match and have the regex generated? Modifying an existing regex is one thing but I find starting from scratch painful!

    Does the Prototype Javascript library have a selector that's equivalent to jQuery's :contains()? If not, what would what be "The Prototype Way" to selector/filter-down a list of elements that contains a particular string. For example, using the following $$('#some_div dd a') I may get back an array of 50 or so links. I only want the links that contain the work 'home'. In jQuery I'd do this jQuery('#some_div dd a:contains('home')'); Is it possible to do something similar using Prototype? If not, is there an elegant way to filter out the array of 50 elements that gets returned.

    So, I have a regex that searches for HTML tags and modifies them slightly. It's working great, but I need to do something special with the last closing HTML tag I find. Not sure of the best way to do this. I'm thinking some sort of reverse reg ex, but haven't found a way to do that. Here's my code so far: $html = "<div id="test"><p style="hello_world">This is a test.</p></div>"; $pattern = array('/<([A-Z][A-Z0-9]*)(\b[^>]*)>/i'); $replace = array('<tag>'); $html = preg_replace($pattern,$replace,$html); // Outputs: <tag><tag>This is a test</p></div> I'd like to replace the last occurance of "" with something special, say for example, "". Any ideas?
