• "Bad binary signature" in ASP.NET MVC application

  We are getting the error above on some pages of an ASP.NET MVC application when it is deployed to a 64 bit Windows 2008 server box. It works fine on our development machines, though these are 32 bit XP. Just wondered if anyone had encountered this before, and has any suggestions? Details as follows: Bad binary signature. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131192) Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: Bad binary signature. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131192) All projects are set to compile for Any CPU, and are compiled in Release mode. The ASP.NET site is precompiled, and the precompiled build is on a 64 bit Windows 2008 TeamCity build agent. Thanks in advance. EDIT We're still plagued by this. I have looked at all the binaries in the website's bin directory using corflags.exe. None has the 32BIT flag set, and all have a CorFlags value of 9 except for Antlr3.Runtime.dll which has a value of 1. The problem only affects certain pages, and it seems to be those which use FluentValidation (including FluentValidation.Mvc and FluentValidation.xValIntegration assemblies). None of these shows anything out of the ordinary when inspected with corflags.exe, and there are no odd looking dependencies revealed by ildasm. When built locally (32 bit Windows XP) the site deploys and runs fine. When built on the build agents (64 bit Windows 2008 Server) the site displays these errors. The site runs in Integrated Pipeline mode, and is not set to 32 bit. The stack trace is: [COMException (0x80131192): Bad binary signature. • Voice Recognition Connection problem

  I,m trying to work through and test a Voice Recognition example based on the VoiceRecognition.java example at http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/ApiDemos/src/com/example/android/apis/app/VoiceRecognition.html but when click on the button to create the activity, I get a dialog that says Connection problem. My Manifest file is using the Internet Permission, and I understand it passes the to the Google Servers. Do I need to do anything else to use this. Code below UPDATE: Ok, I was able to replace my emulator image with one from HTC that appears to come with Google Voice Search, however now when I run from the emulator, i'm getting an Audio Problem message with Speak Again or Cancel buttons. It appears to make it back to the onActivityResult(), but the resultCode is 0.   Hello All, I have a VS2008 ASP.NET Web Service Application running on the local IIS of my XP machine. A separate project in the same solution uses test methods to invoke the WS calls, and run their processes. When I added a web reference to the WS App, VS2008 created a Settings.settings file in the Properties folder to store the address of the web reference. This process also created a new section in the Web.config file called applicationSettings to store the values from Settings.settings When my application attempts to retrieve configuration values from the appSettings section of the Web.config file, via ConfigurationManager.AppSettings[key], all values are null and AppSettings.AllKeys.Length is always zero. I even reverted the Web.config file to before the web reference was added, and made sure it was exactly the same as a system-generated web.config file for a new project that works fine. After comparing the reverted Web.config and a new Web.config, I addded one simple value in the appSettings section, and still no luck with ConfigurationManager.AppSettings[key].   How do you manually activate a user? I am stuck. I have a hosted app, but no mail server yet because I am waiting for a domain name to be transferred to a new registrar. Meanwhile, the site is in a preview mode and it works fine, but remember elgg sends an email and requires new users to confirm via email. For now, I just want to manually activate a couple of users (admin, and some other guest).

Anybody has any ideas about how could i get closer to the real cause?

  Has anyone managed to run wcf successfully in 2.0 integrated mode on IIS7 when .net 4 has been installed? I found that installing .net 4 removed the 2.0 handlers for svc and replaced them with .net 4 versions (this led to a 404.17 error in my v3.5 site), I managed to get my 3.5 site working again by running ServiceModelReg.exe /i from the v3.0 folder (Windows Commuication Foundation) but that removed the 4.0 mappings so they seem to be mutually exclusive? any advise on how to run a 4.0 and 3.5 WCF site on the same IIS7 server?

I tried using this code: MessageBox.Show(ManageList.SelectedItems(0).Text) And it works, but only for the first selected item (item 0).   Hi, I want to develop my own REST service, so I've created a HttpHandler that is configured with verb="" and path="", the the application in "~/MyRESTsrv/" will handle any derivated URL. This approach works good in IIS7 with "integrated mode" and apparently in IIS6 if you map all the extensions to "aspnet_isapi.dll". Is this possible in Apache/XSP with Mono? Do I have to do something special or it will work out of the box? Cheers.

  I have a WindowsXP configured as a build machine. The build process runs under an account which isn't an administrator. Some projects register as a last step an ocx control with something like regsvr32 /s /c ".\debug\myocx.ocx" This step fails and I assume that this has something to do with rights because doing the same under an admin account works fine. What rights/permissions/policies do I need to give the build account and where do I do it? (Browsing Local Users and Groups and Local Security Settings haven't helped me)

• WPF: Binding to commands in code behind

  Hi, I have an WPF Microsoft Surface Applikation and I'm using MVVM-Pattern. I have some buttons that are created in code behind. And I would like to bind commands to them but I only know how that works in the XAML like this: <Custom:SurfaceButton Command="{Binding SaveReservationCommandBinding, Mode=OneWay}"/> But I cannot do it like this because my buttons do not exist in the XAML, only in the code behind. So how would a command binding like that works in code behind?
