    I'm working on the MVC app where I've to generate the report in the form of HTML page. If the user click the print icon, I've to show the HTML page to user. If the user click on email icon, I've to send email with same HTML page attachment. I'm trying to find a way where I can use the same code to generate the HTML in both cases of email and print.     I have the following HTML, and I need to add a class to both <li> and <a> where the text 'Charts' exists (so not the second line, but rather the 4th and 5th).     For a PDF reader I want to prepare a document by taking 'screenshots' of each page and save them to disc. First approach is CGPDFDocumentRef document = CGPDFDocumentCreateWithURL((CFURLRef) someURL); for (int i = 1; i<=pageCount; i++) { NSAutoreleasePool *pool = [[NSAutoreleasePool alloc]init]; CGPDFPageRef page = CGPDFDocumentGetPage(document, i); ...//getting + manipulating graphics context etc. ... CGContextDrawPDFPage(context, page); ... UIImage *resultingImage = UIGraphicsGetImageFromCurrentImageContext(); ...//saving the image to disc [pool drain]; } CGPDFDocumentRelease(document); This results in a lot of memory which seems not to be released after the first run of the loop (preparing the 1st document), but no more unreleased memory in additional runs: MEMORY BEFORE: 6 MB MEMORY DURING 1ST DOC: 40 MB MEMORY AFTER 1ST DOC: 25 MB MEMORY DURING 2ND DOC: 40 MB MEMORY AFTER 2ND DOC: 25 MB .... Changing the code to for (int i = 1; i<=pageCount; i++) { CGPDFDocumentRef document = CGPDFDocumentCreateWithURL((CFURLRef) someURL); NSAutoreleasePool *pool = [[NSAutoreleasePool alloc]init]; CGPDFPageRef page = CGPDFDocumentGetPage(document, i); ...//getting + manipulating graphics context etc. ... UIImage *resultingImage = UIGraphicsGetImageFromCurrentImageContext(); ...//saving the image to disc CGPDFDocumentRelease(document); [pool drain]; } changes the memory usage to MEMORY BEFORE: 6 MB MEMORY DURING 1ST DOC: 9 MB MEMORY AFTER 1ST DOC: 7 MB MEMORY DURING 2ND DOC: 9 MB MEMORY AFTER 2ND DOC: 7 MB .... but is obviously a step backwards in performance. When I start reading a PDF (later in time, different thread) in the first case no more memory is allocated (staying at 25 MB), while in the second case memory goes up to 20 MB (from 7). In both cases, when I remove the CGContextDrawPDFPage(context, page); line memory is (nearly) constant at 6 MB during and after all preparations of documents. Can anybody explain whats going on there?

Also, how would I differentiate between the actually subfolders, and the content variable. As so to prevent 'subdir' or 'subdir2' from being plugged in as the content variable for the root site. I've played around with plenty of code snippets, but I've wiped my .htaccess slate clean, and approach you all in an attempt to help me repopulate it. Your input would thoroughly be appreciated. Note: The only time the page query string will be needed is when 'content' == 'content2' ?content=content2&page=4 **Same rule is shared by the article/id relationship, all other 'content' values are expected to be dynamic.

  • Django paging object has issues with Postgresql QuerySets

    I have some django code that runs fine on a SQLite database or on a MySQL database, but it runs into problems with Postgres, and it's making me crazy that no one has has this issue before. I think it may also be related to the way querysets are evaluated by the pager. In a view I have: def index(request, page=1): latest_posts = Post.objects.all().order_by('-pub_date') paginator = Paginator(latest_posts, 5) try: posts = paginator.page(page) except (EmptyPage, InvalidPage): posts = paginator.page(paginator.num_pages) return render_to_response('blog/index.html', {'posts' : posts}) And inside the template: {% for post in posts.object_list %} {# some rendering jazz #} {% endfor %} This works fine with SQLite, but Postgres gives me: Caught TypeError while rendering: 'NoneType' object is not callable To further complicate things, when I switch the Queryset call to: latest_posts = Post.objects.all() Everything works great. I've tried re-reading the documentation, but found nothing, although I admit I'm a bit clouded by frustration at this point. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

    I have a mpg file hosted in Amazon S3, that I want to link to a page I have, so the user will be able to download it from the page. I have in my page a linke: bla bla" The link to the file workds when I right click it and choose "Save Target As" , but I would like it to work also when I left click it, and that it will open a file download dialog. right now, a left click will direct to a page that has the video directly played in it (in FireFox) or just won't load (in Explorer) I am working in php, anyone has a clue why this happens?

  • Radio buttons being reset in FF on cache-refresh

    (This is technically an addendum to an earlier StackOverflow question I had posted, but my original post asked a different question which doesn't really cover this topic -- I don't want to edit my older question as I feel this is different enough to merit its own page) While browsing my website in Firefox 3.5 (and only FF3.5), I come across a page with two radio buttons that have the following HTML code: <input id="check1" type="radio" value="True" name="check" checked="checked"/> <input id="check2" type="radio" value="False" name="check"/> This page renders as expected, with 'check1' checked and 'check2' unchecked. When I then go to refresh the page by pressing Control + R, the two radio buttons render, but they are both unchecked even though the raw HTML code is the same (as above). If I do a cache-miss refresh (via Control + F5 or Control + Shift + R), the page returns back to the way you'd expect it. This is not a problem in any other browser I've tried except FF3.5. What is causing these radio buttons to be reset on a normal refresh? How can I avoid this?

  • strange Django problem

    Sorrt to bother you everyone, but I really suffer a strange problem. I am working on a Django project for a company. This project worked very well before today. Today I found a page can not show images (and their corrsponding links). I checked source code of THAT PAGE, I found there are images and links, I just can not find them on the page. I checked the auth of the server and I am sure I can write things to the database. In fact, I think it is not database mistake because I can find what I want in the page source code, I just can not find them on the page. Oh my Gosh, I am going to be crazy... Has anyone suffered similar problem? What kind of problem could it be? Please help me! Thank you very much! PS: I can not provide any source code of the project because some business limit...I am really sorry...

    Hello, I have profile page where the profile is retrieved via GET. The index file has this: $profile = $_GET['profile']; When I log in on the profile page, the $profile variable disappears. Here is the form action on the login function: <form name="login-form" id="login-form" method="post" action="./index.php"> (The $profile variable is separate of the login username.)   • Submit button on nested form submits the outer form in IE7

    I have the following code on my Home.aspx page: <form id="frmJump" method="post" action="Views/ViewsHome.aspx"> <input name="JumpProject" /><input type="submit" value="Go" /> </form> However, when I click the "Go" button, the page posts back to Home.aspx rather than going to ViewsHome.aspx. I even tried adding some script to force the form to submit: <input name="JumpProject" onkeypress="if(event.keyCode == 13) { this.form.submit(); return false; }" /> But still even if I press ENTER, the Home.aspx page is reloaded. The only thing I can see that might be borking things is this form is actually a child form of the main POSTBACK form that ASP.NET injects into the page. I'm sure there's something stupid I'm missing and this post will get 800 downvotes instantly banishing me back into the n00b realm, but perhaps I haven't gotten enough sleep lately and I'm missing something stupid. This is on IE7 and an ASP.NET 4.0 backend. I also have jQuery libraries loaded on the page incase jQuery can improve this somehow. Thanks!

    I have followed these instructions exactly, yet I get a "Page cannot be found" 404 error http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/247/using-fastcgi-to-host-php-applications-on-iis-60/ My PHP file is <?php phpinfo(); ?> I am running Windows Server 2003 and installed FastCGI and made sure everything is correct per those instructions. I can also create an HTML page and that serves no problem, so it must be an issue with PHP. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

  • Redirect failing - "...will never complete"

    I am trying to redirect a blog page to a newly updated page. The old entry is gone, but it is indexed in Google, and other people have links to it. I get this error: "The page isn't redirecting properly" "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete." The (deleted) link looks like this: "http://mysite.com/blog/?p=158" I want to redirect that to "http://mysite.com/blog/?p=194" I used CPANEL to do a permanent (301) redirect. (I have other redirects working.) I gues the ? is causing a problem. How do I fix it so the page redirects? (Please give instructions for CPANEL - the server has Frontpage extensions, and I don't bother with re-researching how to do it manually - the multiple files that need updated.)

    I need to render an ASP page to a string from an MVC controller action. I can use Server.Execute() to render a .aspx page, but not a .asp page. My problem is when i go from paga B to A or vice-versa, the content of the page isn't reloaded. So if i change something in page B and then go to page A, i still have the content before my changes.   • Running code/script as a result of a form submission in ASP.NET

    An outside vendor did some html work for us, and I'm filling in the actual functionality. I have an issue that I need help with. He created a simple html page that is opened as a modal pop-up. It contains a form with a few input fields and a submit button. On submitting, an email should be sent using info from the input fields. I turned his simple html page into a simple aspx page, added runat=server to the form, and added the c# code inside script tags to create and send the email. It technically works but has a big issue. After the information is submitted and the email is sent, the page (which is supposed to just be a modal pop-up type thing) gets reloaded, but it is now no longer a pop-up. It's reloaded as a standalone page. So I'm trying to find out if there is a way to get the form to just execute those few lines of c# code on submission without reloading the form. I'm somewhat aware of cgi scripts, but from what I've read, that can be buggy with IIS and all. Plus I'd like to think I could get these few lines of code to run without creating a separate executable. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi, I'm currently integrating facebook into my current app and I've succeeded in retrieving the access_token using the following code: url="#{url}?#{client_id}&#{client_secret}&#{code}&#{redirect_uri}&type=client_cred" agent = Mechanize.new page = agent.get(url) The page object above has a body which contains text something along the lines of access_token=XXXXX I just want to pull out the access_token value. I can get the entire string simply by writing: page.body But I was wondering is there a way to get the access_token value without resorting to regular expressions etc? Thanks.
