  • Eclipse and Cassandra

    I've searched various websites for instructions on how to link 'Cassandra' and 'Eclipse' and followed directions to the last detail in several sites. For some reason, while using Git Bash, I cant get through the 'ant build', via instruction in said mentioned locations across the web. In some location's its easy, just make sure you have; 1. Apache Cassandra source 2. Apache Ant 3. Git So, yeah I've downloaded all the above, tried the same directory, different directories, etc., although still unable to get past the middle step of 'ant build'. Here are a few websites I've used to muddle through setting up the Src code for both utilities, 'Eclipse' and 'Cassandra'. http://uisurumadushanka89.blogspot.com/2012/02/apache-cassandra-how-to-setup-source.html and http://wiki.apache.org/cassandra/RunningCassandraInEclipse both resulting in an immediate halt at the 'ant build'. any insights are information is greatly appreciated.   • jPlayer problem in Firefox - also throws error from jQuery?! Not related to OGG support.

    I've been working on a small SVG website, http://docroot.ca/ - the SVG part has been working out pretty well. In the current site, jPlayer is called and given an mp3. jPlayer functions properly in Safari, Chrome, and Opera, but not Firefox which throws the following two errors: Error: not well-formed Source File: Line: 1, Column: 191 Source Code: <div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><embed name="jqjp_flash_0" id="jqjp_flash_0" src="js/Jplayer.swf" width="0" height="0" bgcolor="#ffffff" quality="high" FlashVars="id=jPlayerBox&fid=jqjp_flash_0&vol=80" allowScriptAccess="always" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /></ and: Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... The former might have something to do with jPlayer's .swf component. The weird thing is the same code works in http://willshown.com/dw, but not in http://docroot.ca. Any guesses as to what direction to take this problem?

  • codemirror fails when adding </textarea> tag inside it

    I'm using codemirror http://marijn.haverbeke.nl/codemirror/ to let users create their own web templates inside a web application. Codemirror works great, except for the time that users have put a tag inside their source code. When I load that up inside code mirror, it breaks everything in the source code that follows after because it thinks my codemirror text area is closed. I'm using the following way to launch codemirror: CodeMirror.fromTextArea('code') It works great on my existing textarea "code" except when users add inside their templates (in the codemirror textarea). Any help is much appreciated!

    I have a web application written in asp.net mvc. I have in MyApp.Web assembly the list of views and and the content files(images, scripts, css, and so on). In MyApp.WebBase I have the rest of fonctionality(Controllers, domain(entities, repositories, services)). Now the question is the following: I want to give to third party html coder access only to MyApp.Web source code in order he to be able to compile the application locally and see the results. By other hand the developer team shoul have access to full source code. The problem is that in order the html coder to be able to compile the application locally he need in his project the references to the MyApp.WebBase.dll Can anyone help me? Thanks.

    I'm looking for a dbm-like library that I can use in place of Berkeley DB, which I'm currently using. My main reason for switching is the licensing fees for BDB are pretty high (free for open source apps, but my employer does not want to open source this particular app for various reasons). I've looked briefly at qdbm but it doesn't look like it will fill my needs -- lots of keys (several million) and large data items ( 1-5 megabytes). Before I continue my search I figured I'd ask because it seems there are tons of dbm-like libraries out there.

    Trying to validate models with DataAnnotations but DefaulModelBinder overrides my Required property error messages and never uses my error messages for invalid data entry. Always show 'value' is invalid for 'property name'. In another question I saw that MVC 2 uses DefaultModelBinder but I couldn't find any class in MVC 2 binaries. I downloaded the source for MVC futures and changed some source to compile it for .Net 4.0 but although I had success to compile, it has compatability problems and doesn't work as expected. Any help is aprreciated.

  • NHibernate: uninitialized proxy passed to save() and cascade

    Hi, I keep getting an NHibernate.PersistentObjectException when calling session.Save() which is due to an uninitialized proxy passed to save(). If I fiddle with my cascade settings I can make it go away, but then child objects aren't being saved. The only other fix I have found is by adding the following to my DefaultSaveEventListener. protected override bool ReassociateIfUninitializedProxy(object obj, global::NHibernate.Engine.ISessionImplementor source) { if (!NHibernateUtil.IsInitialized(obj)) NHibernateUtil.Initialize(obj); return base.ReassociateIfUninitializedProxy(obj, source); } This is obviously not an ideal solution. Any ideas?

    Hello, I'd like to develop a desktop application (on Windows, and preferably on .NET) that accepts bluetooth connections from mobile devices, that would then send commands to this application. I've never worked with bluetooth before. I've looked for open-source examples of such applications, but I had no luck. I've actually found on Microsoft a managed (.NET) wrapper for the bluetooth stack on Windows CE, but wasn't able to use it on my Windows 7. Do you know of any good texts discussing this topic? Any other source of information on the subject? Where should I start? Thanks.

This is my data source: List<DataRow> I could of course convert the List< to a DataTable, but I am curious if there was a way to specify the binding in XAML to access the "Thumbnail" column within the DataRow that is stored in a List< collection.     On Firefox, I click Tools, Addons, Extensions, Greasemonkey, Options, select my user script, click Edit, change the source code, reload one of the included pages, but the script is the unchanged version. On User Scripts, logged in, I click my username, Script Management, my script's name, Admin, Edit Code Online, change the source code, click save, the link to the install page, install and the script is the changed version. How did you turn on Live Editing? While following Greasemonkey tutorials, this feature is not working... Are you going to use the "works on my computer" excuse?     I can talk for hours about best-practice, source control, change management, feature tracking, development cycles and the lot, but most of what I've learnt or read seems to apply to nuts-and-bolts programming of compiled applications. You know, ASCII files that gets turned into 1s and 0s. How does one apply the same discipline and wisdom to working in environments that are point-and-click, config-centric. I'm thinking of CMSs and specifically, my current 9 to 5, SharePoint. Traditional practices of source control, dev-staging-production seem to break down since we're not working with code, and the live environment changes with user input. So to sum up a rather lengthy question, what works in a no-code environment?

  • Sphinx non-fulltext, integer only search

    Hello guys, I've got a few tables that literally only hold integers, no "words" and for some reason Sphinx is unable to hold this data in it's library. Just returns "0 bytes" errors for these indexes. Is it possible to do this? If so, how?   • VS 2010 Class Diagram Error "The type cannot be edited..."

    A few of the classes on a VS 2010 class diagram are displayed with a red title. The Class Details window shows all of the methods, properties, fields and correctly shows no events. However, there's an entry under each of methods, properties, fields and events that states where the name should be: "The type cannot be edited because the source code file contains an error." However, the source file builds with no errors or warnings. Anyone seen this? Any idea how to fix it?

I cann't understand how direct show filter will display in the source list of the live encoder. I've tryed to use some commercial virtual camera and it work's fine, but it cann't use source from network stream. Summary. I have a several network streams. I think that i must to create virtual camera for each one. But if i find examples with direct show filter on C#, i cann't find for virtual camera.

  • jQuery, drop image on overlaping target

    I am using jQuery to detect drop on target, the target in question is a image. If i drag one image upon another, and then drop it, it shall replace the target source with the dropped source. This works fine until two images lies upon each other. Some of the images lies next to each other and some times the target images overlap. if i drop, both the visible image and the image beneath is replaced with the dragged image. I hope the problem is clear and their is any good solution

  • locked stored procedures in sql

    Hi, I am not too familiar with sql server 2005. I have a schema in sql which has stored procedures with small lock on them. As I understand they were created using C#, all these locked procedures have a source file in C# with the code of the procedures. The thing is I can't access them. I need to modify one of these procedures but it doesn't let me modify them. I have the source code (from visual studio) with these procedures but when I change something in the code, it doesn't affect the procedures in the sql. How can I change the path to assembly in sql server 2005 or is there any other way I can access these stored procedures? Thanks in advance, Greg

    Hi all, I am quite new to WPF/XAML and I am currently facing a problem. I have a solution with two projects in it, the first project is a Custom Control Library with a custom Window form control inside. The second project is a WPF application using my custom window form. All work fine except for the form Icon. In the WPF application project I set my window icon property to "/ProjectTwoNameSpace;component/Resources/Images/Film.ico", and in the WPF custom control I try to show that image that way : <Image Grid.Column="0" Margin="3" Width="27" Height="27"> <Image.Source> <BitmapImage UriSource="{Binding Path=Icon}" /> </Image.Source> </Image> But it doesn't work, I get a error at runtime saying that the property UriSource or StreamSource must be set for my tag. Anyone can help me ? I think it's jsut a WPF newbie problem ^^

  • What is the "official" place for community support for the Mere Mortals .NET framework?

    My team is using the Mere Mortals .NET framework from Oak Leaf. Being used to working with primarily open source software, I found it excruciatingly painful to find ANY community support for MM.NET. When I asked if there was any, the only place I was given to look for support was Universal Thread, which is a site which requires a membership for search and archived questions. It seems like a third party, pay-for site should not be the primary source of support for anything like this, especially MM.NET which costs $700 per developer. It doesn' to me like an entire community around MM.NET would choose to all pay on top of the license just to use a forum. If not Universal Thread, then what is the "official" place to find support for the Mere Mortals .NET framework?
