The problem is, I have action buttons in the row--when they are clicked, becausee they are children of the tr, this function still runs... How can I exclude a certain class?

    Hi all, This is my first post, and first please forgive me for my poor english. I have a problem I really can't fix: I have a <table> of questions, the first question is visible (class:visible), the others are hidden (class:hidden) $(document).ready(function(){ $('.hidden').hide(); When people click on the first question, I want the second question to appear (and the first question to turn to grey, using a 'done' class). $('.visible:not(.done)').click(function(){ $(this).addClass('done'); $('.hidden:first').toggle(500).removeClass('hidden').addClass('visible'); }) The first question is now done (class:done) and the 2nd question should be the only one to react to a click(), and so on... But it doesn't work: the other <tr> appear only when I click on the 1st <tr>. Can someone give me a hand on this problem ? Thank you.

But it happens only when there is a very very large amount of data on page. Any ideas how to fix it?

    I was wondering if it was possible to insert content inside html tags. So say you have a h4 tag: <h4>Some Header</h4> And you want the text to also be surrounded by a span with a class of "line". Like so: <h4><span class="line">Some Header</span></h4> I know about stuff like .after() but is there something like .inside() to do this with? \ Ok...I know I could do this manually, but in this situation it is out of the question.   • IE7 - jquery addClass() breaks floating elements

    I have this nav that uses addClass('hover') when the mouse is rolled over an item. This works fine except in IE7 when the addClass function is called every element with float:left stops floating and the page totally loses its structure. This is my JS: _this.position_sub_menus = function(){ $('#header #nav > ul > li').mouseenter( function(e){ pos = $(this).offset(); height = $(this).height(); lvl2 = '#' + $(this).attr('id') + '-submenu'; if( $(this).position().left > ($('#nav').width()/2)){ pos.left = pos.left - $(lvl2).width() + $(this).width(); } $(this).addClass('hover'); $(lvl2).show(); $(lvl2).css( { 'left' : (pos.left - 12) + 'px', 'top' : pos.top + height + 'px'}); } ); This is the CSS of the of the elements that break: display: inline; float: left; margin-left: 10px; margin-right: 10px; position: relative; It's CSS from the 960 grid system. When I comment out the $(this).addClass('hover'); line the floated elements dont break. Is anyone familiar with this IE7 problem? Thanks guys

  • Get the checked value of 2 sets of radiobuttons using jQuery

    Im having a weird issue here. Its probably just something stupid but I dont see it. I have two sets of radiobuttons, group1 and group2, and I want to get their values in a function. I have 1 clickevent on all radiobuttons in that div and when I click them I want to display the check-values of both groups. But he only reads the value of the first group. and so it always displays 1-1 2-2 3-3 4-4 instead of possibly 1-2 3-1 etc.... There is a jsfiddle here what am I missing??

  • Problem with using Jquery.ajax over .load on Zend

    Right now, what i'm trying to do is to replace a label on the front page with a block of html. Right now, the page basically has: <label id="replace"></label> the js currently has: $(document).ready(function(){ $("#replace").load('/test'); }); the Zend class function has: public function indexAction(){ $this->_helper->layout()->disableLayout(); $this->_view->message = "This is from TestController index"; } and finally the index.phtml template simply has: <?php echo $this->message;?> Right now, I want to change the code around so that instead of just replacing that label with the same message, it would do a POST where the function will pull out a parameter, do something (like for instance, go to the database and pull something out with the POST parameter) and then return the message. I've tried editing the js so that it would look like: $.post('/test', {param : "test_param"}, function(data) {$("#replace").html(data);}); or $.ajax({ type: 'POST', url: '/test', data: "{param:test_param}", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(data) {$("#replace").html(data);} }); and neither worked. I took a step back and tried to replicate the .load functionality and do: $.ajax({ url: '/test', success: function(data) { $('#replace').html(data); alert('Load was performed.'); } }); and it doesn't work either. Anyone have any tips on how to go about doing this?

    Hello, I have been stuck on this problem for a while now. I want to drag a row in a jtable to reorder it. But I really want the user to see the row while dragging it and not just the default "drag" rectangle symbol. So I took a look at the java DnD tutorial finding it very useful, but.. The problem is that I still dont know which method I should override to get this going. Can somebody help me out?

  • jquery document height reported incorrectly by IE (on XP) first time

    I'm having a "first time" problem with IE, which reports a different value for $(document).height(); when the page first loads versus subsequent queries. The difference is 17 pixels regardless of the opening size of the window -- on document ready, the height reported is 17 pixels larger than is subsequently reported. I wonder if this is an artifact of some aspect of my page (some margins or paddings somewhere), but so far can't account for 17 pixels.

    I'm trying to build a player for a radio station that automatically updates the current song from an XML file, the problem is that I don't want it to update the UI (updateSongIMG) unless the song has actually changed. I have a hidden div called settings_songid that stores the song id and it should check that against a value in the XML file, if its different, then it should update it.     I have this line of code for page load: if ($("input").is(':checked')) { and it works fine when the radio button input is checked. However, I want the opposite. Something along the lines of if ($("input").not(.is(':checked'))) { so that my if statement runs when none of the radiobuttons are selected. What is the best way to go about this?

Probably it's a simple detail, but i cannot figure it out... this line $(x).find(".dmPageHeadline").prepend(" 1 - "); doesn't preprend the desired text. Anyone can point me out what is wrong here?     Hi, In my JTable, I have two editable numeric columns. The editor for both columns extends AbstractCellEditor and uses a JFormattedTextField as an the editing component. The problem is that the format for input depends on the value of another column in the row. If condition X is met, the number of fraction digits should be Y, otherwise they should be Y+2. I attempted to override the getTableCellEditor(..) method to associate a TableCellEditor per row. See this example. However, since I have two editable columns, sharing a single TableCellEditor object per row gives some very odd results. I don't think this is an appropriate solution. Any ideas on how to approach this would be much appreciated! Thank you!
