    I've got a bash script that reads input from a file like this: while IFS="|" read -r a b do echo "$a something $b somethingelse" done < "$FILE" The file it reads looketh like this: http://someurl1.com|label1 http://someurl2.com|label2 However, I'd like to be able to insert the names of variables into that file when it suits me, and have the script process them when it sees them, so the file might look like this: http://someurl1.com?$VAR|label1 http://someurl2.com|label2 So $VAR could be, for example, today's date, producing an output like this: http://someurl1.com something label1 somethingelse http://someurl2.com?20100320 something label2 somethingelse

    I am trying to send a username and password from an iOS app using AFNetworking framework to a php script. The iOS app continues to receive status code 401 which I defined to be "not enough parameters". I have tried returning the "username" from the php script to the iOS app and receive .   • Jquery: how to trigger td a when tr is clicked

    Hey, I have a table where the first td in the trs contains a link. I want this anchor to be triggered (clicked) no matter where i click in the containing tr. I have read and tried alot of recents post and suggentions on this topic but i can't get this to work. I tried the trigger() and triggerHandle() functions, but it does not trigger the anchor click that i want. There must be others who have had the need to trigger a anchor click when a tr is clicked, so that the user doesn't have to click the tds anchor link. It sure is a nice UI feature if its possible?     i'm having trouble navigating the maze of distribution tools for python and debian; cdbs, debhelper, python-support, python-central, blah blah blah .. my application is a fairly straightforward one - a single python package (directory containing modules and a __init__.py), a script for running the program (script.py) and some icons and menu items (.desktop files). is there a simple straightforward way to make a .deb file out of these, or should i brave the nonsensical tools listed above?

I can specify the client-side script to execute using the OnClientClick property, but how do I stop it from trying to post every time the user clicks it? There is no reason to post when this button is clicked. I've set CausesValidation to False, but this doesn't stop it from posting.
