    Hey All. Atm im working with native API calls and i have to get RtlInitUnicodeString to work. The way i use: const WCHAR wcMutex[] = L"String1"; UNICODE_STRING unicodeMutexBuffer; RtlInitUnicodeString(&unicodeMutexBuffer,wcMutex); now my problem the project doesnt compile , i get this error: Error argument of type "UNICODE_STRING*" is incompatible with type of "PUNICODE_STRING" but in my old Driver kit , i used same way to initialize the unicode string struct

    Dear ladies and sirs. If two threads in a process generate a new GUID concurrently using .NET API (Guid.NewGuid()) is it possible that the two GUIDs will be identical? Thanks. UPDATE I want to get practical. I know that it is widely assumed that GUIDs are unique for all practical purposes. I am wondering if I can treat GUIDS produced by the different threads of the same process in the same manner.

  • Why do I get so many errors building my Android project with Ant?

    Now that I sort of know my way around the SDK/API, I've switched from Eclipse back to my favorite text editor, which means I have to use ant to build my project, however: It seems every other time I compile the project, a lot of drawables get corrupted, resources lose their ids (resulting in NPEs in the code), or classes throw "Verify Errors". The only way to fix this is by removing the bin and gen folders, and recompiling, which is obviously annoying. Is there any way to avoid this? btw, I'm using ant 1.7.1, java version "1.6.0_20"

    Hi, I have done changes in registry (proxy settings) via Windows programming code. I have to restart (reopen) Internet Explorer each time I run the code to make those changes take effect. Is there any API in Windows programming through which I can notify Internet Explorer or Windows that changes are made to the registry and there will not be any need to reopen Internet Explorer to make those changes take effect?     I have a realy hard task here. I am working on an AngularJS web app, which is capable of sending different HTTP methods to our project's Restful Web Service and receiving responses in JSON. Basicaly it looks like this: You can create some REST resource from this application. Let's say an exam. To create an exam - you pick a resource from a list of available resources. This triggers a function, that sends a request to localhost:8080/STEP/api/explain/resorceName and gets a description for this resource. Description looks like this: http://jsonblob.com/534fc022e4b0bb44248d6460 After receiving a response - I start building input fields like follows (allFields - array of field objects for this resource, enumValues - enum values for resource's field if it's property isEnum = true): <div ng-repeat="field in allFields"> <div ng-show={{!field.isEnum}}> <p ng-show={{field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}*: </p> <p ng-show={{!field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}: </p> <input type="text" ng-model="updateEntityResource[field.name]" ng-change="getUpdateEntityAsText()" class="form-control" placeholder="{{parseClassName(field.type)}}"> </div> <div ng-show={{field.isEnum}}> <p ng-show={{field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}*: </p> <p ng-show={{!field.isRequired}}>{{field.name}}: </p> <select ng-model="updateEntityResource[field.name]" ng-change="getUpdateEntityAsText()" class="form-control"> <option></option> <option ng-repeat="enumValue in field.enumValues" label={{enumValue.name}}>{{enumValue.ordinal}}</option> </select> </div> </div> Now, the problem. Does anyone know how this can be achieved using angular recursive directive? Every useful answer is highly appreciated and evaluated.     I am trying to use the Sunlight API gem with a Rails project. I have installed the gem and can successfully use it from irb. However, when I put the require statement (require 'sunlight') in sunlight.rb in config/initializers, I get the following error: /opt/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-3.0.0.beta3/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:209:in `require': no such file to load -- sunlight (LoadError) I checked the permissions on the gems directory, and it is world readable/executable.     I am not sure if this belongs on serverfault or superuser. I would like to override SetThreadExecutionState(ES_DISPLAY_REQUIRED) to be a no-op. How is this accomplished? Is there some registry setting that can be altered instead of API hooking? Blocking ES_DISPLAY_REQUIRED will prevent apps from keeping the monitor powered on. I have an application (likely the antivirus) that is preventing some monitors from entering power-save and I think this function is the culprit.

    I have an application where the taskbar flashes if an event has occurred. This is working perfectly, and was relatively easy to implement using a Win32 API described below: http://blogs.x2line.com/al/archive/2008/04/19/3392.aspx However, when I stop the flashing, sometimes the application is stuck in the "highlighted" state in the taskbar. This only gets reset by clicking on the application in the taskbar, minimizing it, then re-maximizing it. Is there a way to clear this from being highlighted without any user interaction?
