  • How to get Auto-completion in ASP.NET MVC?

    Hello, In ASP.NET MVC, we don't have controls which can do stuffs such as autocompletion (we don't have controls at all from Visual Studio like in web forms). But, Is it possible to still get 'Auto-completion' with a text box in ASP.NET MVC (like with the textbox found on the Google's Home page)? If this is the case, what's the best way to do so? JQueryUI? or there's someother way of getting that functionality? Thanks for helping.

    Hello, I want to make some url rewrite rules on my .htaccess file so that this link: http://myseite.com/index.php?var1=value1&var2=value2 will become : http://myseite.com/var1/value2.html So far I have managed successfully to solve this problem but only for one variable. I also tried this code: RewriteRule ^([^/]*)/([^/]*)\.html$ /index.php?var1=$1&var2=$2 [L] But it doesn't work.. Thank you for the help!

A user of this class has to set some properties and then use a public method to retrieve the results. What shall I do when a user calls the method without setting all the properties?     Hello, I have a datetime field in mysql table and i am using JPA for persisting data but only date goes in database. Time always shows 00:00:00. What should i do? I am not doing any manipulation with Date. All i do is to assign new Date() to a variable and store it in database. What am i doing wrong?

    Hello, GNU Emacs 23.1.1 I am maintaining someones code. There are many files and directories for the headers and source files. I am wondering if there is a easy way to use emacs that when I highlight a variable name I can go straight to where it is declared? Some of the structures I am working in are declared in other header files, rather than go searching for them, I just want to be taken straight to them. Many thanks for any suggestions,

    Hello I'm trying to do a request that looks like this SELECT field1, field2, field3 = CASE WHEN field2 = 'something' THEN 'something' WHEN field1 IS NOT NULL and field2 IS NULL THEN 'somethingElse' ELSE NULL END FROM SomeTable WHERE field3 IS NOT NULL This results in a syntax error. I have to rewrite the CASE in the WHERE instead of just refering to it. Is there a better way to achieve this ? And out of curiosity, why is "WHERE field3 IS NOT NULL" refused while for example "ORDER BY field3" would pass ?

More specifically, I am doing this: tree = etree.parse('somefile.xml') I am passing this tree around in my program. I was wondering whether this is a good approach, or can I do this: Create a global tree (I come from a C++ background and I know global is bad) Create the tree again wherever required.
