Is it possible to block ads that are not flash based. The ads that show up whenever you have flash block or ad blocker installed on your browser.

Override my ISP's "domain not found" page?

If I screw up typing a URL, my ISP shoots me over to their branded search page. So if I type "superuser" in my location bar I end up at http://domainnotfound.optimum.net/cablevassist/dnsassist/main/?domain=superuser I'd like my browser to leave the location the way it was and just say "nothing doing," rather than redirecting me to a search. Can I override that in my own /etc/hosts or at my router?

Firefox trying to download local .swf files

I'm quite annoyed with my firefox and Flash files : When I try opening a .swf file with it: If the file is on the web (via http://...), it plays normally in browser If the file is local (via file:///...), firefox only show me a dialog to download it It tried opening a web swf file, downloading it then opening it locally, it's the same. So I guess it's a firefox problem. I'm on Gentoo Linux, and it started today, without any apparent reason.

Site down, SSH and FTP work fine

I cannot access my site through my web browser, using either the domain name or IP address (which also pings fine). My site was working last night when I went to bed, so I can't think what might have done it. I have tried restarting apache to no avail. update: I've noticed that http://[IP Address]/phpymyadmin works but [domain name]/phpmyadmin does not, and the same happens for webmin (https://[IP]:1000). Could this be a problem with BIND?

How to create a file on UESTUDIO FTP window when the folder it's empty?.

When I'm editing some files ( html, css, js ) on UESTUDIO by FTP I'm able to browser folders, create new files on existing folders, but when I create a new folder and try to create a new file it won't allow me to select the "create new file" choice on the menu. Also, if I uncheck the "Show current directory only" option, then the menu to create folders and files on the current one ( that worked before ) disapears and I'm unable to use it. How benchmark server with load balancer

Hey I have four computers(with linux): two with mediawiki(mirror, both connected to one db) one with mysql one server(DHCP,DNS etc) I configured on my server load balancer and now hen I type in browser name.local for example I get one of my mediawiki servers. I press f5 really fast and then I see in top command both computers are being loaded but not much. CentOS 5: Can't access webserver via http from host OS?

My server is installed on a guest OS on vmware. It really bugs me because I can't access it from the host OS's browser even though there is no discrepancy between /etc/hosts, /etc/sysconfig/network, httpd.conf files. Issuing ifconfig command also returns the same IP. I have also enabled netwroking in the vmware settings. And I can ping the guest OS's IP from the host. Any insights pls???

Use Google Chrome to download a software, but the software is in Chinese?

How can I force mail clients like Outlook or Thunderbird to load SSL images with invalid certificate?

Essentially, we only encounter this issue with our testing environments, where we send mail that contains HTTPS links that point to test servers with self-signed SSL certificates. In a browser I can select to accept the certificate. Is there something similar for mail clients like Thunderbird or Outlook that I can use? Currently, we don't see any images in our test mail, which greatly confuses the UAT team.

explorer.exe opens slowly

explorer.exe opens veeeery slow when I press [Win+R] key or type "explorer ." in command prompt etc. But it opens with normal speed when I just click on the shortcut to any folder. When I click on the URL in IM like ICQ, already openned browser (firefox) takes too long to process link too. I have this problem for some months and I'm very tired of this. OS: WinXP SP3.

Asterisk Dial() - passing URL to softphone

I suppose there are softphones implementing this, maybe popping up a browser pointing to the given URL - perfect to open up automatically a CRM customer page when receiving a call by identifying his caller id. setIncludesSubentities: in an NSFetchRequest is broken for entities across multiple persistent store

Prior art which doesn't quite address this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1774359/core-data-migration-error-message-model-does-not-contain-configuration-xyz I have narrowed this down to a specific issue. It takes a minute to set up, though; please bear with me. The gist of the issue is that a persistentStoreCoordinator (apparently) cannot preserve the part of an object graph where a managedObject is marked as a subentity of another when they are stored in different files. Here goes... 1) I have 2 xcdatamodel files, each containing a single entity. In runtime, when the managed object model is constructed, I manually define one entity as subentity of another using setSubentities:. This is because defining subentities across multiple files in the editor is not supported yet. I then return the complete model with modelByMergingModels. //Works! [mainEntity setSubentities:canvasEntities]; NSLog(@"confirm %@ is super for %@", [[[canvasEntities lastObject] superentity] name], [[canvasEntities lastObject] name]); //Output: "confirm Note is super for Browser" 2) I have modified the persistentStoreCoordinator method so that it sets a different store for each entity. If I change the entity of the request using setEntity: to the entity for 'Note', all notes are fetched. If I change it to the entity for 'Browser', all the browsers are fetched. Let me reiterate that during the run in which an object is first inserted into the context, it will appear in the list. It is only after save and relaunch that a fetch request fails to traverse the hierarchy. Therefore, I can only conclude that it is the storage of the inheritance that is the problem. Let's recap why: - Both entities can be created, inserted into the context, and viewed, so the model is working - Both entities can be fetched with a single request, so the inheritance is working - I can confirm that the files are being stored separately and objects are going into their appropriate stores, so saving is working - Launching the app with either entity set for the request works, so retrieval from the store is working - This also means that traversing different stores with the request is working - By using a single store instead of multiple, the problem goes away completely, so creating, storing, fetching, viewing etc is working correctly. This leaves only one culprit (to my mind): the inheritance I'm setting with setSubentities: is effective only for objects creating during the session. Either objects/entities are being stored stripped of the inheritance info, or entity inheritance as defined programmatically only applies to new instances, or both. Either of these is unacceptable. Either it's a bug or I am way, way off course. I have been at this every which way for two days; any insight is greatly appreciated. The current workaround - just using a single store - works completely, except it won't be future-proof in the event that I remove one of the models from the app etc. It also boggles the mind because I can't see why you would have all this infrastructure for storing across multiple stores and for setting affected stores in fetch requests if it by core definition (of setSubentities:) doesn't work.

Unable to checkout svn repositories

I have an ubuntu 12.04 machine were apache2 is set up with SSL certificates. In the same machine there is a SVN server. It all worked great till the update to 12.04. Now I'm able to access the svn via a web-browser and also by using an eclipse plugin (subversive), but I'm not able to access the svn via command line. When I try to check out a repo from a Mac Os X client it returns: svn: E120171: Unable to connect to a repository at URL 'https://IP/svn/repo_name' svn: E120171: Error running context: An error occurred during SSL communication If I try to check out a repo from an Ubuntu client it returns: svn: OPTIONS of 'https://IP/svn/repo_name': SSL handshake failed: SSL error: A TLS warning alert has been received. A while back, I have blogged NoSQL with MongoDB, NoRM and ASP.NET MVC Part 1 and Part 2 on how to use MongoDB with an ASP.NET MVC application. The NoSQL movement is getting big attention and RavenDB is the latest addition to the NoSQL and document database world. RavenDB is an Open Source (with a commercial option) document database for the .NET/Windows platform developed by Ayende Rahien. Raven stores schema-less JSON documents, allow you to define indexes using Linq queries and focus on low latency and high performance. RavenDB is .NET focused document database which comes with a fully functional .NET client API and supports LINQ. RavenDB comes with two components, a server and a client API. RavenDB is a REST based system, so you can write your own HTTP cleint API. As a .NET developer, RavenDB is becoming my favorite document database. Unlike other document databases, RavenDB is supports transactions using System.Transactions. Also it's supports both embedded and server mode of database. You can access RavenDB site at http://ravendb.netA demo App with ASP.NET MVCLet's create a simple demo app with RavenDB and ASP.NET MVC. To work with RavenDB, do the following steps. Go to http://ravendb.net/download and download the latest build.Unzip the downloaded file.Go to the /Server directory and run the RavenDB.exe. This will start the RavenDB server listening on localhost:8080You can change the port of RavenDB by modifying the "Raven/Port" appSetting value in the RavenDB.exe.config file.When running the RavenDB, it will automatically create a database in the /Data directory. You can change the directory name data by modifying "Raven/DataDirt" appSetting value in the RavenDB.exe.config file.RavenDB provides a browser based admin tool. When the Raven server is running, You can be access the browser based admin tool and view and edit documents and index using your browser admin tool. The web admin tool available at http://localhost:8080The below is the some screen shots of web admin tool Working with ASP.NET MVC To working with RavenDB in our demo ASP.NET MVC application, do the following steps Step 1 - Add reference to Raven Cleint API In our ASP.NET MVC application, Add a reference to the Raven.Client.Lightweight.dll from the Client directory. Step 2 - Create DocumentStoreThe document store would be created once per application. Let's create a DocumentStore on application start-up in the Global.asax.cs. documentStore = new DocumentStore { Url = "http://localhost:8080/" }; documentStore.Initialise(); The above code will create a Raven DB document store and will be listening the server locahost at port 8080 Step 3 - Create DocumentSession on BeginRequest Let's create a DocumentSession on BeginRequest event in the Global.asax.cs. RavenDB is working based on the REST principles and the Id would be like categories/1. The Id would be created by automatically when a new object is inserted to the document store. The REST uri categories/1 represents a single category object with Id representation of 1. public Category Load(string id) { return session.Load<Category>(id); } The GetCategories method returns all the categories calling the session.LuceneQuery method. RavenDB is using a lucen query syntax for querying.
