• mysql connector/net ssl shutsdown the server

  Hello, when I try to connect my server throw connector/net using ssl with pfx certificate I had problem with establishing the connection. I get connection timeout. And the server probably fall down (I dont know it for sure, becouse I dont manage the server). On the Windows XP works all right, but on Windows 7 dont. Please, where is problem? In Windows 7 or on the server (mysql 5.0)? Sometimes I get "Calling interface SSPI Failed" error, but not everytime. Sometimes is only connection timeout error. Thank you a lot for any help.   Im trying to make a simple survey in php I have a set of radio buttons on a page called sja.php that sends its to sjamail.php page the problem is that when i go to get $answer = $_POST['ans']; I can't seen to do anything like echo "$answer"; but if i were to throw some logic at it like if ($answer == "ans1") { echo 'Correct'; } else { echo 'Incorrect'; } IT will display correct or incorrect so why is it i can't access the value of the radio button ans?

• ASP.NET cached aspx page & IIS logs

  Hi guys, Is there any way to find out if ASP.Net runtime has served a cached copy of ASPX page or actually went through the page life cycle? Here is my problem: I'm seeing many entries in my IIS log files that were served successfully (200 OK). I've a corresponding logging code (Log4Net API) in the Session_Start and Application_BeginRequest() events that is logging every request to my DB with more details. I'm not seeing any corresponding entries in my SQL DB for some cases that should have been created by Log4Net code. Are there any logs available to find out if a cached copy was served by .NET worker process? Moreover, if my logging code would throw an exception, won't that show up as 500 in IIS logs? The code is on Windows 2008 Server, IIS 7.

• Java singleton VO class implementing serializable, having default values using getter methods

  Hi All I have a J2SE application having user threads running in a separate JVM outside JBOSS server. During startup, J2SE invokes a EJB inside jboss, by passing a new object(singleton) of simple JAVA VO class having getter/setter methods. {The VO class is a singleton and implements serialiable(as mandated by EJB)}. EJB receives the object, reads all db configuration and uses the setter methods of new object to set all the values. It then returns back this updated object back to J2SE in the same remote call. After J2SE receives the object(singleton/serializable), if i invoke getter methods, I could see only default values set during object creation before EJB call, and not the values set by the EJB. Kindly throw some light on, why the received object from EJB does not see any updated values and how to rectify this. I believe it got to do with object initialization during deserialization. And i tried overriding readResolve() in the VO class, but of no help. With Regards, Krishna

• Regular expression to remove all text except...

  There may be an easier way, and if there is I'm all for it. However - my ASP.NET page has a TON of controls on it, and I've given them all ID's that start with underscore. I copied all the markup into Notepad++ and I'm trying to find a regular expression that will find everything but the controls and replace it with whitespace. that way I'll have a text file that has all my control names which I'll probably throw into Excel and do some string manipulation to add ".Text = " etc. Any suggestions?

  Hi i just put up a validation function in jScript to validate filename in fileupload control[input type file]. The function seems to work fine in FF and sometimes in ie but never in Chrome. Basically the function tests if File name is atleast 1 char upto 25 characters long.Contains only valid characters,numbers [no spaces] and are of file types in the list. The following code will add a function to the class' prototype: MyClass.prototype.newMethod = function(... args) { }; However I want to add both a get and set functions. I tried: MyClass.prototype.fakeProperty = get function(... args) { }; MyClass.prototype.fakeProperty = set function(... args) { }; But that seem to throw compile errors. Is this even possible? • Best way to implement refusing a value change by the user in Swing?

  I have a JCheckBox that should not be checked by the user when a certain other field is empty. So now I want to have an error popup and then reset the checkbox (I've considered disabling the checkbox, but the connection to the other field is non-obvious, and a tooltip text IMO not visible enough). What's the correct way to do that in Swing? Through a PropertyVetoException? Where do I throw it and where do I catch it? My first (probably ugly) idea would be to add a ChangeListener that itself shows the popup and resets the value.

  I have a folder full of XHTML files, and a console program to process them. The problem is, it doesn't work when I'm offline, because The remote name could not be resolved: 'www.w3.org' A number of sites, including this one, say to set the XmlResolver to null. That is not not working. I have tried setting the XmlResolver to null every way that I can think of: in the XmlDocument, in XmlTextReader, and in the XmlReaderSettings. I believe that it's just creating a default instance. Or there is a better way to use singleton modules in python that I'm not aware of :)

Value cannot be null. Parameter name: languageTag What's the problem? Isn't this how to POST JSON to an MVC Controller? I can examine the POST using Fiddler and see that the request is correct. For some reason, UpdateLanguagePreference() is getting a null or empty string.

• XmlDocument.InnerXml is null, but InnerText is not

  I'm using XmlDocument and XmlElement to build a simple (but large) XML document that looks something like: <Widgets> <Widget> <Stuff>foo</Stuff> <MoreStuff>bar</MoreStuff>...lots more child nodes </Widget> <Widget>...lots more Widget nodes </Widgets> My problem is that when I'm done building the XML, the XmlDocument.InnerXml is null, but the InnerText still shows all the text of all the child nodes. Has anyone ever seen a problem like this before? What kind of input data would cause these symptoms? I expected the XmlDocument to just throw an exception if it was given bad data. Note: I'm pretty sure this is related to the input data as I can only reproduce it against certain data sets. I also tried escaping the data with SecurityElement.Escape but it made no difference.

  Consider the following entity class, used with, for example, EclipseLink 2.0.2 - where the link attribute is not the primary key, but unique nontheless. @Entity public class Profile { @Id private Long id; @Column(unique = true) private String link; // Some more attributes and getter and setter methods } When I insert records with a duplicate value for the link attribute, EclipseLink does not throw a EntityExistsException, but throws a DatabaseException, with the message explaining that the unique constraint was violated. This doesn't seem very usefull, as there would not be a simple, database independent, way to catch this exception. What would be the advised way to deal with this? A few things that I have considered are: Checking the error code on the DatabaseException - I fear that this error code, though, is the native error code for the database; Checking the existence of a Profile with the specific value for link beforehand - this obviously would result in an enormous amount of superfluous queries.

Keep in mind that this earliest date is not stored anywhere, the history of data changes per customer. Another customer might have the following history. Log_id customer_Id status_dte status_cde 01 002 2010-04-20 N 02 002 2010-04-18 N 03 002 2010-04-19 Y 04 002 2010-04-19 Y Any ideas on how I can approach this?

These validators can send back either Severity.SEVERITY_ERROR or Severity.SEVERITY_WARN messages, as illustrated: if (!isInMainFamily) { FacesMessage message = new FacesMessage(FacesMessage.SEVERITY_WARN, "You should make sure to tag your competency in at least one main category", null); throw new ValidatorException(message); } However, SEVERITY_WARN messages are not blocking for me. They are just a way to tell the user they should correct their input, but won't prevent them from submitting the form and saving their data. However, it seems that throwing any kind of ValidatorException flags the FacesContext as "validationFailed", which then prevents the submission of the form. Is there a way to get around this? • Should i use HttpResponse.End() for a fast webapp?

  HttpResponse.End() seems to throw an exception according to msdn. Right now i have the choice of returning a value to say end thread (it only goes 2 functions deep) or i can call end(). I know that throwing exceptions is significantly slower (read the comment for a C#/.NET test) so if i want a fast webapp should i consider not calling it when it is trivially easy to not call it? -edit- I do have a function call in certain functions and in the constructor in classes to ensure the user is logged in. So i call HttpResponse.End() in enough places although hopefully in regular site usage it doesn't occur too often.

  I have a Java app that can authenticate to LDAP by logging users into the AD LDAP server with the NTLM name (which they are used to - this is a requirement). I now also need to do authorization, and hence need to find a forest-unique identifier for the user (DN or UPN should work), from which I can further query the directory. The method needs to be absolutely portable, even if the AD is structured in an unusual fashion, otherwise I could just do a string replacement and search for a UPN of "${ntlm-user}@${ntlm-domain}.${configured-trailing-domain}" How can I do this, using pure LDAP? Currently, I'm using the java.naming.directory package, which I'd like to keep using, since it doesn't throw up problems when not binding with a DN but logging in with an NTLM name?

• Redoing Commit History in GIT Without Rebase

  Since asking my last question which turned out to be about rebasing with GIT, I have decided that I don't want to rebase at all. Instead I want to: Branch Work work work, checking in and pushing at all times Throw out all of those commits and pretend they never happened (so one clean commit at the end of work) I do this currently by copying the files to a new directory and then copying them back in to a new branch (branched at the same point as my working branch), and then merging that into master or wherever. Is this just plain bad and why? More important: Is there a better/GIT way to do this? git rebase -i forces me to merge (and pick, and squash).

Even if this throw an error "Specified cast is not valid." "rezultat=(int)cmd.ExecuteScalar();" - the code is executed and the row is inserted in the database, and the execution continues. Why it continues? Maby i don't understand the try catch finally yet Smile | :) Thank you!
