What is your preference? Also, if you are a die-hard functional programmer or hardcore into OO, what other specific programming practices do you use that you think are best for your style?     I have a jar file with resources (mainly configuration for caches, logging, etc) that I want to distribute. I'm having a problem with the relative paths for those resources, so I did what I've found in another stackoverflow question, which said that this was a valid way: ClassInTheSamePackageOfTheResource.class.getResourceAsStream('resource.xml'); Sadly this does not work. Any ideas? Thanks! PS: Obviously I cannot use absolute paths, and I'd like to avoid environment variables if possible

When I try to click for second time an error displays: $.fn.colorbox is not a function. How can i correct that error and avoid a double click to bind colorbox.     Some websites have forms with input type="text". And inside these textboxes there is a blurred text, which says for example: "Enter your name here". And then onClick or OnFocus or whatever, the text dissappears and you can type into the textbox. Like the title of posting a question here at stackoverflow, same thing. How is this done easiest way? Would prefer if there was not too much js involved. Thanks

    I'm using another computer than normal to do iPhone dev. Now I'm trying to get my apps onto my iPhone, but fail with the certificates, keys and stuff. (private, public), I see no way of getting them...
