  • Why does this JSON.parse code not work?

    I am trying to pass json encoded values from a php script to a, GnuBookTest.js, javascript file that initiates a Bookreader object and use the values i have passed in via the variable i named "result". Using JSON.parse as i have written it above loads the Bookreader and uses my values correctly in a few web-browsers: Firefox, IE8, and desktop-Safari; but does not work at all in mac-Chrome, mobile-Safari, plus older versions of IE. Mobile safari keeps giving me a reference error msg: can't find variable: JSON. The other browsers just do not load the Bookreader and show the "x" instead, like they did not get the values from the php script. Where is the problem?

  • Latex: Listing all figures (tables, algorithm) once again at the end of the document

    Hi all, I have been writhing a rather large document with latex. Now I would like to list all the figures / tables / algortihms once again at the end of the file so that I can check if they all look the same. For example, if every algorithm has the same notation. How can I do this? I know about \listofalgorithms and \listoffigures but they only list the names of the algorithms or figures and the pages where they are. Thanks.

    I'm writing a crossplatform python script on windows using Eclipse with the Pydev plugin. The script makes use of the os.symlink() and os.readlink() methods if the current platform isn't NT. Since the os.symlink() and os.readlink() methods aren't available on the windows platform Pydev flags them as undefined variables--like so: Is there a way to explicitly ignore certain undefined variable name errors (e.g. os.symlink())?

    I have an object variable Object test = Spinner.getSelectedItem(); -It gets the selected item from the Spinner (called spinner) and names the item 'test' I want to do an if statement related to that object e.g: 'if (test = "hello") { //do something }' But it appears not to work....     Given the following function: def foo(a, b, c): pass How would one obtain a list/tuple/dict/etc of the arguments passed in, without having to build the structure myself? Specifically, I'm looking for Python's version of JavaScript's arguments keyword or PHP's func_get_args() method. What I'm not looking for is a solution using *args or **kwargs; I need to specify the argument names in the function definition (to ensure they're being passed in) but within the function I want to work with them in a list- or dict-style structure.

    Hi, I have 2 windows services installed on a machine with different service names, they install and start fine. What's happening is that they're both listening to the same endpoints and thus competing for messages. I've tried to change the baseAddress to be different for both services without success.   • PHP 5.2 Function needed for GENERIC sorting of a recordset array

    Somebody must have come up with a solution for this by now. We are using PHP 5.2. (Don't ask me why.) I wrote a PHP class to display a recordset as an HTML table/datagrid, and I wish to expand it so that we can sort the datagrid by whichever column the user selects. In the below example data, we may need to sort the recordset array by Name, Shirt, Assign, or Age fields. I will take care of the display part, I just need help with sorting the data array. As usual, I query a database to get a result, iterate throught he result, and put the records into an assciateiave array. So, we end up with an array of arrays. (See below.) I need to be able to sort by any column in the dataset. However, I will not know the column names at design time, nor will I know if the colums will be string or numeric values. I have seen a ton of solutions to this, but I have not seen a GOOD and GENERIC solution Can somebody please suggest a way that I can sort the recordset array that is GENERIC, and will work on any recordset? Again, I will not know the fields names or datatypes at design time. The array presented below is ONLY an example. UPDATE: Yes, I would love to have the database do the sorting, but that is just not going to happen. The queries that we are running are very complex. (I am not really querying a table of Star Trek characters.) They include joins, limits, and complex WHERE clauses. Writing a function to pick apart the SQL statement to add an ORDER BY is really not an option. Besides, sometimes we already have the array that is a result of the query, rather than the ability to run a new query.   • Error 'duplicate definition' when compiling 2 c files that reference 1 header file

    I have two C files and one header that are as follows: Header file header.h: char c = 0; file1.c: #include "header.h" file2.c: #include "header.h" I was warned about 'duplicate definition' when compiling. I understand the cause as the variable c is defined twice in both file1.c and file2.c; however, I do need to reference the header.h in both c files. How should I overcome this issue?

  • Using GQL to check if BlobProperty is NULL

    Hello, I have a db.BlobProperty property (called "Icon") in my entity which contains an image binary. I want to run a GQL query to retrieve all entities with an image (i.e. their "Icon" property is not NULL). Trying to use the following query: "SELECT * FROM Names WHERE Icon!=NULL" did not work... Trying to use .filter("Icon!=",None) did not work as well... Any ideas? Thanks! Joel
