• asp.net mvc. Inserting string data from model into javascript. best-practice

  Hello everybody, I have to populate javascript code in html layout (hidden fields, method params) with string data from model. Html.Encode is not appropriate for my task because it encodes ' symbol, bypass : (that ruines object attributes declaration) and so on. I wrote static helper class that is used from View like this: alert('<%=ViewHelper.MakeJavaScriptSafe(Model.Message)%>'); I hope there is asp.net in-built function I don't know about for this task. • Android changing colors with themes

  I am trying to provide user settable colors in my app. White text on black background and black text on white background. I have multiple layouts with many listviews, both standard and custom adapters. People have suggested using Themes, but I have had no luck changing the text colors across all layouts. Can anyone show me an actual Theme layout that can accomplish this? I can easily change the background colors using myscreen.setBackGroundColor(xx), but when I try to change the text with a theme, it also changes spinner text as well.

  Hey Everyone, I have limited SQL background, basically a small amount of manipulation through HTML and mostly with pre-existing databases. What I am trying to do is set up a database that will store time information for bus routes. So basically I have different routes with stops for each route and then a list of times that the bus arrives at each stop. Here is an example of a table of times from their website: Link.   I want to be able to apply opacity to some elements to make them invisible only if javascript is enabled. I don't want to use display:none because I want the layout to act as if they're in the DOM, so setting opacity to 0 is perfect. I want to be able to set this initial value using Javascript, using JQuery, so I don't have to mess with browser differences on the opacity (and many other) attributes. But if I set opacity to 0 like so: $(document).ready(function() { $("#header").css("opacity", 0); $("#header").animate({opacity:1}, 500); }); ...half the time it's already visible on the screen, so it appears and disappears. How do I set these css values using JQuery before they ever can render?

• Setting 0 margin in header using LaTeX's fancyhdr

  Hi, I'm trying to define a custom layout for my report for which I'm using fancyhdr. On the pages which contains a chapter start I want my header to contain a colorbox spanning across the whole page (0 cm margins) although keeping my defaults margin in the text area. I can get the box to span across the "margin notes" area, but not the other side.   Hi, I am trying to display a table to display of products (rows) in a single A4 fixed layout page. I manage to add a table with header/detail/footer sections but I can not set a minimum heigth for the detail section (150mm for example). If I set a 150mm heigth on the detail row, then Each row will have that 150mm heigth. • CDateTimeCtrl - preventing 'focus' change when setting date

  I'd like to use a CDateTimeCtrl to allow the user to select a non-weekend date. So, if the user increments the day (via a keypress) - and the resulting day is found to fall on a weekend - then the control should skip forward to the following Monday (don't let issues about month changes distract you, it's not relevant). Usually it's not a problem: when I handle the DTN_DATETIMECHANGE notification I can check the new date/time and if it's found to be a weekend then I can call SetTime on the control to update the date. However, if I set the style to DTS_SHOWNONE, this call to SetTime causes the control to shift the input 'focus' (term used loosely) to the 'none' checkbox, e.g. away from the day field. This prevents the user from using keyboard input to continue incrementing the date unless they subsequently use the right arrow key to reset the 'focus', which is just nasty. I would dearly like to prevent this focus shift from occurring. Is it even possible?

  I am currently developing an Android Application for my Final Year Project. But to be honest I do not have any basic knowledges and everything started from scratch and referring to online tutorials a lot. Here is my question, I was trying to retrieve data from listview activity. There are two listview in my page using button. I was able to display the first listview but when it get data for the second listview, the data for first listview is disappeared because the page is refreshed, vice versa. What code should I modified to get both the data in the page? (Database not implemented yet) Please help, thanks a lot. Below are my codings. • Custom inputAccessoryView push my UITableView first row partially off the screen

  Hi For my scenario, I have a UITableView with a UITextField for the first row. While I try to set custom toolbar for keyboard with UITextField.inputAccessoryView, it pushed my first row of textfield partially off the screen. This is not happening if I avoid adding the toolbar. Refer screen shot below: I tried with NSNotification with keyboardWillShow by reposition to first row of the tableview, but it just look awkward for the table pulling out and in. It might be something to do overriding UITableView/UIScrollView, but I am out of idea how to do this. Would like to know how you guys resolve this. Thanks you!

  Hi i want to design a custom View where I need to recalculate my layout and redraw when user changes something. To force a onLayout(), the only solution that works for me until now is: onLayout(true, 0, 0, 0, 0); invalidate(); Of course that gives me a lint error and I have to add a @SuppressLint("WrongCall"). So there must be a smarter solution. Calls of forceLayout or requestLayout didn't work. Probably they only put a request on a stack but don't react immediately. As my view has no child elements and I do the drawing inside all by myself, could be I'm bypassing some Android design guides and abusing some principles. Can live with the lint error but maybe someone already found a solution. Thanks!

• Issue with android tablayout switch tab

  I am a new android developer, just tried something with Android Tablayout. There are two tabs and one tab has a GridView and the other one has a DatePicker. I created an activity and layout for each tab. The problem is that when I switch to the gridView, the background is not refreshed, and the images are just drawn over the DatePicker, so through images, the DatePicker still can be seen. It really bothers me. What should I do to have a clean background for imageView? Steve

• Problem when using \LaTeX \includegraphics with some PDF files

  I noticed some strange effects when including existing pdf graphics in my laTeX documents: Most file work flawlessly, but some PDFs that were created on a different machine (or from the web) cause the whole page on which they are embedded to become ever-so-slightly distorted. I only notice the difference in a side-by-side comparison, but once you see it, it's obvious. The text layout seems slightly broken, and when you zoom in you can see it better. I will try to make some screenshots to further elaborate, but in the meantime: Has anyone seen this before and how can I get rid of these distortions?

• Extjs 3.4 - Button Icon does not show or does not center

  I want to fill a button with an icon I created but whatever I have tried just seems to put the icon either half cut off and way left, or it doesn't show at all. I've been trying different combinations of CSS and the icon, iconcls, cls button options. I was following the Ext 3 buttons example page but that doesn't seem to display anything for me... • Black flicker while resizing translucent Qt widget (only when Aero is enabled)?

  I have a top-level Qt widget with the FramelessWindowHint flag and the WA_TranslucentBackground attribute set. It has several children, each of which draws an image on it. They are not in a layout. Instead, I simply move them around when something changes (it is not user-resizable). There are two states to the window - a big state and a small state. When I switch between them, I resize the window and reposition the children. The problem is that as the window resizes, a black box is briefly flashed on the top-level window before the images are painted over it. The problem goes away if I disable Aero. I found brief mention of this problem being fixed in an article describing a new release of Qt (this release is long past), but it still doesn't work. Any ideas why? Thanks!

  I'm attempting to write a custom MarkupExtension to make my life easier by giving me a better way to specify bindings in XAML. However I would like to know if there is any way I can access the object that represents the file the MarkupExtension is used in. In other words, suppose I have a UserControl that defines a particular rendition of a data model of my program. This control has lots of visual stuff like grids, borders and general layout. If I use my MarkupExtension on a particular property of some element in this UserControl, I want to access the instance of the UserControl, without knowing what type it is (I plan on using reflection). Is this at all possible?
