  • jquery radio button group problem

    Hi, I have a radio group which is validated for required. It works fine except when in certain cases I need to disabled first radio button leaving user to select one from remaining. Even in this case radios are validated but error message is not displayed. I believe its due to error message's association with first radio. Disabling other radio except first works fine too. Is there way around?

  • How can I call an Actionscript function when the .swf is referenced by jQuery?

    I have an .swf that I am embedding into HTML using the jQuery SWF Object plugin (http://jquery.thewikies.com/swfobject). I have a number of functions within the .swf that I need to call from within javascript functions. I've made these actionscript functions accessible to javascript by calling flash.external.ExternalInterface.addCallback(). Yet nothing happens when I make the call. I've had this happen before and it seems to be that when you reference the .swf from jQuery, you can't call flash functions. Is there anyway around this (aside from not using jQuery)? Thanks.

    Hi, I having problems with re-checking some checkboxes after and ajax call updates a table. I have a table of what the project calls 'shares'. I want to: 1) check for and save any checked shares to an array 2) Do my ajax call to update the table of shares 3) Re-check any there we checked before the ajax update. My code is not working and I can't see why?     My function below calls a partial view after a user enters a filter-by string into the text box '#DocId'. When the user is done typing, the partial view is displayed with filtered data. Since my textbox needs to be in the partial view, when user is done entering a filter-by string and is shown the filtered data, the textbox is reset and the user entered data is lost. How can I set the value of the textbox back to the user entered string after the partial view is displayed? The problem I am having is, the program that writes the html files is converting to <br /> SO when I execute $('#items').load('/News/list.aspx'); it displays as a string on my page instead of reading it as a page break. I have tried to read the above file into a variable to do a string replace on the <br /> but it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions?
