  Hey guys, I am trying to use the Jets3t library within an Android application, and I keep getting errors with the Rest service when I use the library. 04-27 16:47:39.491: ERROR/S3Service(225): Couldn't initialize a sax driver for the XMLReader I have tried to include the Xerces library and the Crimson library, and it dont play well. I get this error: Attempt to include a core class (java.* or javax.*) in something other than a core library. It is likely that you have attempted to include in an application the core library (or a part thereof) from a desktop virtual machine. This will most assuredly not work. At a minimum, it jeopardizes the compatibility of your app with future versions of the platform. It is also often of questionable legality. If you really intend to build a core library -- which is only appropriate as part of creating a full virtual machine distribution, as opposed to compiling an application -- then use the "--core-library" option to suppress this error message. Is there something I can do to get it working ?

• Magento: Rebuilding Flat Catalog Programmatically

  I am using a cron to import inventory changes nightly. When I try to change a product's information (price, etc) I get the following error: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column 'e.display_price_group_0' in 'field list' I can fix this by clicking "Rebuild Flat Catalog Product" in the Cache Management panel. I setup a cron to do this programmatically using the following code: Mage :: getResourceModel( 'catalog/product_flat_indexer' ) -> rebuild(); I don't get any errors when I run the script, but the "Column not found" error persists. Does anyone know how I can rebuild the flat catalog other than through the admin interface?

• Libreoffice Calc run macro with HYPERLINK

  I'm trying to use hyperlinks instead of buttons to run Basic macros. It seems to be more natural to me because hyperlinks are directly connected to a cell and buttons are not. I'm using the following Formula: =HYPERLINK("vnd.sun.star.script:Standard.Module1.Test?language=Basic&location=document";"Check") It should call the Subroutine Test placed in the document's macros under Standard.Module1 and display the Text 'Check' in the Cell it is written. This works absolutely fine with libreoffice 3.6.1.2 but it doesn't work at all with version 4.1.4.2. I can't see any errors it just happens nothing at all. I tried to simply click the Hyperlink and also to hold CTRL and click it. Same result - nothing. When I use a button the macro works as expected. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

• ASP.NET login control - can I add the FailureText as an item in a ValidationSummary?

  I'm currently working with the ASP.NET login control. I can set a custom failure text and I can add a literal on the page where the failure text is displayed if the login fails. I also have a validation summary on the page in which I collect all errors that can occur (for the moment it just validates that the user has entered a login name and a password. It would be really nice if I could add the failure text of the login control as an item in the validation summary, but I'm not sure if this is even possible? Hoping that the massive brainpower of stackoverflow can give me some pointers? Thanks! /Thomas Kahn PS. I'm coding in C#.

• jQuery Ajax (beforeSend and complete) working properly on FireFox but not on IE8 and Chrome

  I am using jQuery ajax version 1.4.1 in my MVC application (though the issue I am discussing was same with the old jQuery version 3.2.1) as well, to check during customer registration if the username is already registered. As the user clicks on the "Check Availibility" button, I am showing a busy image in place of the check button (actually hiding the check button and showing the image) while checking the availibility on the server and then displaying a message. It is a Sync call (async: false) and I used beforeSend: and complete: to show and hide the busy image and the check button. This thing is working well on Firefox but in IE 8 and Chrome, neither the busy image appear nor the check button hides rather the check button remained pressed as the whole thing has hanged. The available and not available messages appear correctly though.   Hi there. I'm trying to install SugarCRM version 5.5.1. on a webhost. Everything goes nice until the step when the installation begins. The output is this one: Creating Sugar configuration file (config.php) Creating Sugar application tables, audit tables and relationship metadata ............. And never moves on! I check the database and can see that there are tables missing. The install.log file doesnt have any errors, and the last line in the file is: 2010-04-27 22:17:03...creating Relationship Meta for Bug It seems the installation stopped here, but i cant get why! Iv searched in the foruns, etc, but cant get it... Anyone had this issue? Any clues about whats happening? Thanks a lot

However, I cannot get this to compile in Qt. My Qt project file, in the same directory: SOURCES += TestMe.cpp INCLUDEPATH += C:\gtest-1.5.0\gtest-1.5.0\include LIBS += -L../gtest/staticlib -lgtest This results in 17 "unresolved external symbol" errors related to gtest functions. I'm pulling my hair out here, as I'm sure it's something simple. Any ideas?

• MSBuild 4 fails to build VS2008 csproj due to 1 compiler warning

  We have a VS2008 CS DLL project targeting .NET 3.5. It builds successfully on our CI server when using MSBuild 3.5. When CI is upgraded to use MSBuild 4.0, the same project fails to build, due to 1 warning message: c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\Microsoft.Common.targets(1418,9): warning MSB3283: Cannot find wrapper assembly for type library "ADODB". The warning does not occur with MSBuild 3.5, and I'm surprised that it results in Build FAILED. We do not have the project set to treat warnings as errors. All our other projects build successfully with either version of MSBuild.

• Help make sense of a KillDisk error/log

  I have a hard drive that I've been trying to reformat. I tried reformatting it in the windows XP and 7 installers, and in an Ubuntu live cd with gparted. I tried using dd to 'zero' the drive as well with no success. Finally I ran across KillDisk after a search. • Visual Studio ignore try catch - debug only

  I think error handling is a good idea. :) When debugging it can get in the way - especially with nice user friendly messages. In VB6 I could just check a box for the compiler to ignore my error handling. I found the dialog that allows me to do something similar in VS, but it's about 10,000 check boxes instead of one - which is too many to change every time I want a production compilation. Is there a way to set VS up so when I am in debugging mode I get one set of conditions and when I am in production I get another? ...or is there just another method to handling errors and debugging more efficiently? • Global "ajax call" notification with asp.net mvc/jquery

  I need to be notified any time a largeish asp.net mvc web application makes an ajax call to the server. We're using both jquery, and the built-in Ajax.* methods to do the remote calls, and I would like a global way of knowing when we make a call without having to manually inject some sort of "IsMakingCall" method to every request. The root problem we're trying to solve is session timeout. If the user leaves a page up and goes to lunch (for example), they get errors when they get back because the ajax call is returning the login page instead of the expected json or partial html result. My idea was to have a js timer which would be reset any time we make an ajax call. That way, if the timer runs out (ie. their session has now timed out) I can just auto-log them out. This is how sites like bank of america and mint.com work. Thanks!

• trying to build Boost MPI, but the lib files are not created. What's going on?

  I am trying to run a program with Boost MPI, but the thing is I don't have the .lib. So I try to create one by following the instruction at http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_43_0/doc/html/mpi/getting_started.html#mpi.config The instruction says "For many users using LAM/MPI, MPICH, or OpenMPI, configuration is almost automatic", I got myself OpenMPI in C:\, but I didn't do anything more with it. Do we need to do anything with it? Beside that, another statement from the instruction: "If you don't already have a file user-config.jam in your home directory, copy tools/build/v2/user-config.jam there." Well, I simply do what it says. I got myself "user-config.jam" in C:\boost_1_43_0 along with "using mpi ;" into the file. • Java "constant string too long" compile error. Only happens using Ant, not when using Eclipse

  I have a few really long strings in one class for initializing user information. When I compile in Eclipse, I don't get any errors or warnings, and the resulting .jar runs fine. Recently, I decided to create an ant build file to use. Whenever I compile the same class with ant, I get the "constant string too long" compile error. I've tried a number of ways to set the java compiler executable in ant to make sure that I'm using the exact same version as in Eclipse. I'd rather figure out how to get the same successful compile I get in Eclipse in Ant than try to rework the code to dynamically concatenate the strings.

I wanted to keep the views folder inside other folders, When I try to do so i am getting following errors The view 'Index' or its master was not found. The following locations were searched: ~/Views/Search/Index.aspx ~/Views/Search/Index.ascx ~/Views/Shared/Index.aspx ~/Views/Shared/Index.ascx Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. My Views folder will be in ~/XYZ/ABC/Views instead of ~/Views. Please solve my problem. Will I get any problems If I change the default Views folder location. Do I need to change anything in HTML Helper classes because I don't know anything in MVC as this is my starting project i dont want to risk..Please help me out...

• IIS7 Custom Errror Handling Troubles for Classic ASP Website

  I recently upgraded a web server from IIS6 to IIS7 for a classic asp application and now experience a bizarre error. In the IIS6 set up there was a custom 500-100 page that functioned properly by capturing errors and delivering an email with error code, error source and error type values. That same structure was set up on the IIS7 machine but now the error emails contain no error information at all. They all come through values such as 'NO SPECIFIC ERROR CODE', 'NO SPECIFIC ERROR DESCRIPTION', 'NO SPECIFIC ERROR SOURCE'. Any one have some thoughts on why my custom error page cannot capture the error information?

  hi, i have a very similar question as for this post. i would like to know how to rename occurances within a filename with designated substitutions. for example if the original file is called: 'the quick brown quick brown fox.avi' i would like to rename it to 'the slow red slow red fox.avi'. i tried this: new="(quick=>'slow',brown=>'red')" regex="quick|brown" rename -v "s/($regex)/$new{$1}/g" * but no love :( i also tried with regex="qr/quick|brown/" but this just gives errors. any idea what im doing wrong?

  i hope i'm just doing something wrong here. Ideally i'm trying to open the connection, open a transaction execute a ton of prebuilt sqlstatements (with parameters) against this connection then close the connection. ideally all in the same batch. It's easy enough to wrap this all in a for loop, however i'd like to use the forEach function of the list generic to set the connection as it'll probably be faster than my implementation of calling List.Item(i) in the loop but i get some strange errors.
