• Rails and Python hosting problem

  I am trying to host some files/rails app in the port 8080 for external access. For python I am using the SimpleHTTPServer module, and for rails, webrick. However, both of them does not work very well. I don't get the response back, and, sometimes, if I get it, it's VERY slow. Nevertheless, apache works very well on the port 8080 (i am not running them at the same time). What is going on?

  This code, when compiled in xlC 8.0 (on AIX 6.1), produces the wrong result. It should print 12345, but instead prints 804399880. Removing the const in front of result makes the code work correctly. How to get elements from numeric indices 0-n? Also if I change 'string_index' to something else which doesn't exist, it echoes everything except [0]. Plz, explain me this. Thnx in advance

  Sorry for such a simple question but I can't seem to find the solution. I am trying to fade in and out some divs. Divs have an ID of "div1", "div2", "div3". My code is: var Divs = new Array("div1", "div2", "div3"); I want to fade out one div and then fade in the next on top of it. I have a setinterval that runs every 5 seconds and checked it works. Inside it is this code: $(Divs[1]).fadeOut(1000); $(Divs[2]).fadeIn(1000); However nothing happens when the timer method is ran. Any ideas?

• Problem with running totals in jquery

  I'm having an issue trying to get an accurate running total for my calculations. When you enter numbers into the input field I get an accurate total for that line item, but the grand total comes out to a higher number. Note that this is a dynamic form and that the id's will change depending on how many form fields I have added to the form. Also, I have it set to make the calculations onKeyUp for each input field instead of a calculate button. The code that calculates a single item is this: function calcLineItem(id) { var id = $(id).attr("id"); var Item1 = $("#Item1" + id).val(); var Item2 = $("#Item2" + id).val(); var Item3 = $("#Item3" + id).val(); function calcTotal(Item1, Item2, Item3){ var total; total = Math.round((Item1 * Item2) * Item3); return total; } $("#total" + id).text(calcTotal(Item1, Item2, Item3)); calcAllFields(); } This will give me the total of this particular input field. Any ideas on how to avoid this from happening?

My current approach involves: Look for that tag object that has tag=myTag pull all the comments out, sorted look for that product where product.name=myProduct pull all the comments out (which are dbrefs by the way) loop through the result of 2, and checking if they are in 4, (this I can do a limit 10) etc. It's pretty inefficient. Any better methods?

  I'm trying to create a method that will sum two timeO objects and return a new TimeO object called sum. Here is the relevant code snippet: public static TimeO add (TimeO t1, TimeO t2) { TimeO sum = new TimeO ; ... } When i try to compile it i get this error message: TimeO.java:15: '(' or '[' expected TimeO sum = new TimeO ; ^ 1 error i cant think of any reason why it would want me to open a set of parenthasies or brackets here but its possible that i dont' quite understand the syntax.   Hi guys, I am having a javascript written like this. imageDiv.onclick = function(){xyz.deleteImage(param1, param2);return false;}; Now things are fine in Firefox, Chrome and Safari. But I have a strange issue in Internet Explorer. What happens is, when I click on the imageDiv in my page, the deleteImage() method is getting invoked twice. One being the actual deleteimage() method thats given here and another is the deleteimage() method that I have in the page. How to resolve this issue. Please help.

Here is the relevant information needed for each. items prod_id order_id item_qty orders order_id order_date order_status acct_id accounts acct_id is_wholesale items is linked to order by the order_id and orders is linked to accounts via acct_id I need to sum item_qty for all items where prod_id=464 and the order stats is not 5 and where the is_wholesale is 0 and the order_date is between two dates. Im struggling with this and would appreciate any help.   have these two queries: SELECT classroomid AS crid, startdate AS msd FROM unitTemplates where classroomid = 6 GROUP BY classroomid and: SELECT classroomid AS crid, Min(startdate) AS msd FROM unitTemplates where classroomid = 6 GROUP BY classroomid The second query uses the minimum function. There is only one record in my table with a classroomid of 6. The first query returns msd = 20100505, the second query returns msd = 0 (instead of the expected 20100505). If I change the "Min" to "Max" it returns the highest (and only) startdate (20100505). Why doesn't MySQL like the Min function I'm using?

I know that I can do arrayList.contains() check but it returns true, irrespective of whether it contains one or more Items. Q1. How can I find the number of time the Item is stored in the list? ================================================================================== Q2. Also, If the list contains more than one Item, then how can I determine the index of other Items because arrayList.indexOf(item) returns the index of only first Item every time?
