I'm trying to get a sum of how many licenses there are across several rows so i can put it in a text box, but im getting the error 'Must declare the scalar variable "@softwareID".' SqlConnection con1 = Connect.GetSQLConnection(); string dataEntry = softwareInputTxt.Text; string result; dataEntry = dataEntry + "%"; con1.Open(); SqlCommand Mycmd1; Mycmd1 = new SqlCommand("select sum(license_quantity_owned) from licenses where software_ID like @softwareID", con1); MyCmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@softwareID", dataEntry); result = (string)Mycmd1.ExecuteScalar(); licenseOwnedTxt.Text = result; Could anyone point me in the right direction?

  • Problem decrementing in Java with '-='

    - by hanesjw
    I'm making a scrolling game on Android and am having a hard time figuring out why the code below does not decrement past 0. Objects start at the end of the screen (so the x position is equal to the width of the screen) the objects move accross the screen by decrementing their x positions. I want them to scroll off of the screen, but when the x position hits 0, the objects just stay at 0, they do not move into the negatives. Here is my code to move objects on the screen private void incrementPositions(long delta) { float incrementor = (delta / 1000F) * Globals.MAP_SECTION_SPEED; for(Map.Entry<Integer, HashMap<Integer, MapSection>> column : scrollingMap.entrySet()) { for(Map.Entry<Integer, MapSection> row : column.getValue().entrySet()) { MapSection section = row.getValue(); section.x -= incrementor; } } } It works ok if I change section.x -= incrementor; to section.x = section.x - (int)incrementor; but if i do that the scrolling doesn't appear as smooth.

  • Problem using VideoView in Android

    - by user443141
    Hi, I am using VideoView in Android for displaying streaming videos. While playing the videos if a user receives & disconnects the call , the video starts playing from beginning instead of the behaviour which should be that after the call disconnection , the video should start playing from the same place when the call was received. Kindly provide your suggestions/sample code if you have already implemented the same. Warm Regards, CB

  • huge C file debugging problem

    - by valdo
    Hello all. I have a source file in my project, which has more than 65,536 code lines (112,444 to be exact). I'm using an "sqlite amalgamation", which comes in a single huge source file. I'm using MSVC 2005. The problems arrives during debugging. Everything compiles and links ok. But then when I'm trying to step into a function with the debugger - it shows an incorrect code line. What's interesting is that the difference between the correct line number and the one the debugger shows is exactly 65536. This makes me suspect (almost be sure in) some unsigned short overflow. I also suspect that it's not a bug in the MSVC itself. Perhaps it's the limitation of the debug information format. That is, the debug information format used by MSVC stores the line numbers as 2-byte shorts. Is there anything can be done about this (apart from cutting the huge file into several smaller ones) ?

  • Problem with C++ classes

    - by Mike
    I have a class defined called extBlock. I then make an instance of that class with this extBlock mainBlock = new extBlock(1, 1024); I get this error: error C2440: 'initializing' : cannot convert from 'extBlock *' to 'extBlock' Can anyone help me with why I am getting this error. I have seen examples online of declaring it like this with a pointer extBlock *mainBlock = new extBlock(1, 1024); But if I do it this way it does not let me call the functions of mainBlock

  • Problem with a large CSV file

    - by moustafa
    I have a very large CSV file. 51427 lines to be exact. I need to import the entire file into a MySQL database, however, the script times out due to server settings and slow connection (and maybe other reasons that I am not aware of). So - I am now passing parameters START and LIMIT via address bar to import, like this: http://my.server.address/import.php?...000&limit=1000 This reads the entire CSV file into an array, and starts at line 10000 of the array and inserts into the database until it reaches line 11000, and then terminates the script. This works very nicely, however, I am not happy having to reach the entire 51427 lines of the CSV file into an array before processing. Is there not a way where I can only read the required lines into an array? That would speed things up significantly.

Code: @Override protected void onMeasure(int widthMeasureSpec, int heightMeasureSpec) { int measuredHeight = 90; int specMode = MeasureSpec.getMode(heightMeasureSpec); int specSize = MeasureSpec.getSize(MeasureSpec.getMode(heightMeasureSpec)); if(specMode != MeasureSpec.UNSPECIFIED){ measuredHeight = specSize; } setMeasuredDimension(60, measuredHeight); } Does anyone know how I can get the height of "fill_parent"? Thanks!

    - by user574911

I think I am missing some config parameters/options, if any one knows about this erro please let me know. My code is as below : if(SDL_Init(SDL_INIT_VIDEO | SDL_INIT_AUDIO | SDL_INIT_TIMER)) { fprintf(stderr, "Could not initialize SDL\n"); exit(1); } screen = SDL_SetVideoMode(640, 480, 0, 0); if(!screen) { fprintf(stderr, "SDL: could not set video mode - exiting\n"); exit(1); }

  • jquery indexOf problem with IE

    - by user441365
    Hi, I have a multiple select field and a jquery function that checks for a change in the select. the function looks for the value "Other", and if it's selected then displays an extra text field. This is all working fine in chrome and FF, but for some reason IE throws an error on the indexOf function "Object doesn't support this property or method". Any help would be much appreciated. Here's the code: <select name="test" multiple="multiple" id="test"> <option value="one">one</option> <option value="two">two</option> <option selected="selected" value="Other">Other</option> </select> <input name="Name_Other" type="text" id="Name_Other" class="OtherDisplay" /> $.toggleOther = function (dd, txtOther) { if ($(dd).val() == null || $(dd).val().indexOf("Other") != 1) $(txtOther).hide(); $(dd).change(function () { var sel = $(this).val(); if (sel != null && sel.indexOf("Other") != -1) { $(txtOther).show(); } else { $(txtOther).hide(); } }); } $.toggleOther("#test", ".OtherDisplay");
