Is there any optimization library in C#?
I have to optimize a complicated equation in excel, for this equation there are a few coefficients. And I have to optimize them according to a fitness function that I define. So I wonder whether there is such a library that does what I need?
Since Exchange doesn't provide support for all local calendar types in OWA, I need to create one, using Microsoft.Net's support of calendars, but where should I start?
I have pex_pkg.vhd and I want to use this library to make floating point adder but altera max+plus II give me an error can't open "PEX_lib" how to include this library in max+plus ?
Are there any databases, in either the SQL or NoSQL worlds, that support protocol buffers? (Support could mean various things, but hopefully would include being able to index on fields in protocol buffers.)
I'm looking for a PHP Library / PHP Script that allows me to calculate an accurate bounding box for a given center point (lat/lon).
Using an ellipsoid formula (f.ex. WGS84) would be great. I know, there have to be a library but I'm not able to find one.
Hi,
I have the need to make a call to the System.Xaml library in .NET 4.0. Is it possible to make a call to this library if your project is targeted to 3.5?
When you code a distributed algorithm, do you use any library to model abstract things like processor, register, message, link, etc.? Is there any library that does that?
I'm thinking about e.g. self-stabilizing algorithms, like self-stabilizing minimum spanning-tree algorithms.
I'm developing a reusable library and have been creating abstract classes, so the client can then extend from these.
QUESTION: Is there any reason in fact I should use an abstract class here as opposed to just a normal class?
Note - Have already decided I do not want to use interfaces as I want to include actual default methods in my library so the client using it doesn't have to write the code.
Is this possible? Basically I would like to use SQL Data Services REST interface and let the ADO.NET Data Service Client library handle communication details and generate the entities that I can use. I looked at the samples in February release of Azure services kit but the samples in there are using HttpWebRequest and HttpWebResponse to consume SQL Data Services RESTfully. I was hoping to use ADO.NET Data Service Client library to abstract low-level details away.
Hi,
I downloaded wikipedia dump and now want to remove the wikipedia markup in the contents of each page. I tried writing regular expressions but they are too many to handle. I found a python library but I need a java library because, I want to integrate into my code.
Thank you.
Does anyone know what graphics library is used to create the graphics in the Solitaire and Freecell games included with Windows Vista (e.g. XNA, GDI, WPF)? A good answer would include the name of the library and evidence.
I looked at solitaire.exe with dependency walker and it shows many calls to gdi32.dll and gdiplus.dll, but also a call to Direct3DCreate9 in d3d9.dll.
Flash users have the wonderful SwfObject JavaScript library that abstracts browser differences to reliably embed swfs into their web pages. Is there a JavaScript library like this for Java Applets?
We are currently using DeltaXML in our .Net application to analyse two versions of .xml files regarding their differences, but since DeltaXML is a java application/library, we're looking for a more homogeneous way to accomplish that task.
Does anyone know a .Net diff library similiar to DeltaXML?
Hi folks,
I am looking for an open source cross-platform library for working with the serial port in C, something along the lines of the awesome pyserial library (Unfortunately I have to use C for this application)
I have only found this one: http://www.teuniz.net/RS-232/ and that doesn't seem to have mention OSX compatibility.
Any recommendations/comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi
I'm looking for a dead simple Java Library to use for SFTP file transfers. I don't need any other features beyond that.
I've tried Zehon's, but it's incredible naggy, and I think 8 jar files is a bit crazy for so little functionality as I require.
And the library have to be free (as in free beer), and preferable Open Source (not a requirement).
Thanks.
I'm looking for any database framework/library for .net which will act as a unified layer between an application and databases. Please note that I'm not interested in querying/updating data (there is plenty of DALs for that) but rather a framework which allows me to manage table schemas and indexes in a managed fashion (without using database specific SQL). I'm particularly interested in a library which supports Oracle, SQL Server and PostreSQL.
I've added a WCF Service Library to a Silverlight project. But when I try calling a method on the service I get a CommunicationException complaining about accessing a service in a cross-domain way.
I've tried adding both a crossdomain.xml and clientaccesspolicyfile.xml to the service library project, but it doesn't help.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
I read that the HTML5 spec introduced the ability to select multiple files in an upload form. What browsers currently support this? Does Adobe AIR support it?
Bonus question: Is there a JavaScript library that takes advantage of this functionality?
I am starting a new project and must decide which CMIS client library we will use.
Our Java project just needs to connect an a CMIS server (actually Alfresco but it should not matter), in order to perform some read/write/search operations.
I am looking for a client library that:
is already usable
is not going to be abandoned soon
has an active community of users
is open source
Which one would you recommend and why?
Here are a few possibilities:

Like Firefox, XULRunner only ships with support for ogg (and soon, webm) in the HTML5 video tag. Is there a relatively simple way to add h.264 support to it for all three major platforms? Perhaps a compilation flag, or a plugin I can add to it?

I did a system test on a new ASP.NET app. I encountered several exceptions when using the BACK button in my browser (IE 7).
I stated in a review-record that the web-app must support the use of a BACK button (or at least handle it gracefully with for example session-time out warnings). The teamlead did not agree with me as he stated that a web-app should not support working with the back-button by default.
Do you agree?
I am writing a program on linux gcc...
When I tried to include <math.h> I found that I need to link math library by using command gcc -lm
But I am searching for another way to link the math library 'in code', that does not require the user to compile using any options..
Can gcc -lm be done in c code using #pragma or something?
EDIT:
I have changed -ml to -lm
