• Form submit to target iframe only works once

  I'm having a really irritating problem doing something that I'm sure I've done before. The setup is this: There's a form which is submitted via a "click" handler on a button, though the submit is ultimately a simple call to the form's native submit() function. The form's target is an iframe, which is initially filled with an empty page (that is, its source object is an URL for an empty page). That is, the "target" attribute of the form is the same identifier (and yes, it's a valid identifier) as the "name" and "id" attributes of the iframe (and yes, it's unique) Now the goal of this setup is as follows: the form contains file upload fields. Should something be wrong with one of the files uploaded, the server will report back an error. If the error response (that is, the html page with a new copy of the form, along with appropriate error messages) were to be allowed to reload the original window, then the file input fields would be cleared. That's not good. Thus the form submits to the iframe, so that the response from the server can be a small page that knows it's in that hidden iframe, and knows to move the error messages up to the form. One more thing: the form itself is also in an iframe, as part of a popup modal dialog (like a jQuery UI dialog, only slightly different; same idea though). The setup works fine - on the first submit. In other words, if I supply nice happy files to upload, the server ships back the successful response, and the dialog is closed correctly. If I send a bogus file, the server responds with an error page that correctly copies its stuff up to the form page. On the second submit, however (like, if I fix the bogus file input field), the browser insists on sending the server response to a new browser tab. As far as I can tell, the form's "target" remains correct, the iframe "name" and "id" attributes aren't changed, and I even make sure to update the hidden iframe "window.name" and "window.id" values. None of that is helping; I always get a new browser tab. I'm trying to set up a slightly simpler test case to see if I can rule out some of my framework code (the stuff that does the submit), though via a few console.log() calls I think that stuff is OK; it's certainly OK on all the other dialogs etc. in the site. When/if I create a simpler version I'll post it. In the meantime, if any of you insanely smart people recognize this situation and know of a trick to make it work, I'd be really thankful. I see the same behavior in both Firefox (3.6) and Chrome, so it's got to be my problem and not a browser quirk (well, at least that's what I think to be true).

• facebook connect: thumbnail images broken up in FB.Connect.streamPublish pop-up prompt, and on wall

  hi there! I'm using facebook connect so that users can publish comments they are leaving on my site on their facebook wall as well. It works as intended, except that in the confirmation pop up, the thumbnail image i provide is broken. Looking at the source, I can see that facebook prepended my image url like this: from: http://www.mysite.com/path/to/my/image.jpg to: http://platform.ak.fbcdn.net/www/app_full_proxy.php?app=303377111175&v=1&size=z&cksum=41a391c9f3a6f3dde2ede9892763c943&src=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mysite.com%2Fpath%2Fto%2Fmy%2image.jpg The image on the facebook user's wall has the same prepended url, and is also broken for a couple of minutes, after which it's showing up correctly. But obviously, having a broken image in the confirmation window and on your wall for a couple of minutes is not a good experience... Has anybody experienced the same / knows how to work around this issue? Thanks a lot in advance! • WCF client encrypt message to JAVA WS using username_token with message protection client policy

  I am trying to create a WCF client APP that is consuming a JAVA WS that uses username_token with message protection client policy. There is a private key that is installed on the server and a public certificate file was exported from the JKS keystore file. I have installed the public key into certificate store via MMC under Personal certificates. I am trying to create a binding that will encrypt the message and pass the username as part of the payload. I have been researching and trying the different configurations for about a day now. I want the URL to look like this: http://example.com/bart/school?page=2 and the rewritten URL to be: http://localhost:8080/app?user=bart&tag1=school&page=2 If possible, I would also like to be able to have more than one tag per user: http://example.com/bart/school/lisa?page=2 Would look like: http://localhost:8080/app?user=bart&tag1=school&tag2=lisa&page=2 I far as I can tell this is possible by using mod_rewrite but I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be really appreciated!

• problem with addressfilter in WCF

  I've build my own WCF channel with all necessary stuff (like encoders, bindings, etc) to use it with ServiceHost. I just want to build the "channel stack" making no custumizations at "Service Model". To acomplish this, my encoder returns perfect ServiceModel.Messages with a XML infoset just like other channel does. Lets assume the following service implementation: [ServiceContract(Namespace = "http://MyNS")] public interface IService1 { [OperationContract(IsOneWay = true)] void dummy(); } public class Service1 : IService1 { public void dummy() { Console.WriteLine("In Service1:dummy()"); } } I used this service through other bindings and traced the following ServiceModel.Message contents (SOAP format): <s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing"> <s:Header> <a:Action s:mustUnderstand="1">http://MyNS/IService1/dummy</a:Action> <a:To s:mustUnderstand="1">amqp://localhost</a:To> </s:Header> <s:Body> <dummy xmlns="http://MyNS"></dummy> </s:Body> </s:Envelope> Then (just to debug) i changed my encoder to allways return this message. When i use my custom channel the WCF's runtime replay with an faul message telling: "The message with To '' cannot be processed at the receiver, due to an AddressFilter mismatch at the EndpointDispatcher. Check that the sender and receiver's EndpointAddresses agree." I read that the default EndPointDispatcher.AddressFilter simply looks to the "TO" header and delivery the message to corresponding service. This is happening with other bindings, why not happens with my custom channel too? Is there any way to i check what default AddressFilter is doing? Thanks

• cucumber, capybara & selenium works randomly

  Setup with cucumber, capybara and selenium but some scenarios works only randomly.   Now I have apache configuration which works only with localhost domain (http://localhost/). Alias /media/ "/sciezka/do/instalacji/django/contrib/admin/media/" Alias /site_media/ "/sciezka/do/plikow/site_media/" <Location "/"> SetHandler python-program PythonHandler django.core.handlers.modpython SetEnv DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE settings PythonPath "['/thomas/django_projects/project'] + sys.path" PythonDebug On </Location> <Location "/site_media"> SetHandler none </Location> How can I make it working for some subdomains like pl.localhost or uk.localhost? This subdomains should display the same page what domain (localhost). Second question: It is possible change default localhost address (http://localhost/) to (http://localhost.com/) or (http://www.localhost.com/) or something else?
