  I have an array with two columns in numpy. For example: a = array([[1, 5, nan, 6], [10, 6, 6, nan]]) a = transpose(a) I want to efficiently iterate through the two columns, a[:, 0] and a[:, 1] and remove any pairs that meet a certain condition, in this case if they are NaN. The obvious way I can think of is: new_a = [] for val1, val2 in a: if val2 == nan or val2 == nan: new_a.append([val1, val2]) But that seems clunky. What's the pythonic numpy way of doing this? thanks.

• Prevent line break between two elements in CSS

  For some basic layout work I'm doing, I'd like links that immediately follow a price to always be shown on the same line as the price. The price text is wrapped in a <span class="price"> tag while the link uses the buy-link class as in <a href="/buy" class="buy-link">Buy Now</a>. I'm looking for CSS that will automatically prevent line breaking between the span and a tag but I'm either missing something or it can't be done. I can easily prevent line breaks within the two tags - but not between them. I want to avoid wrapping both tags in a span with a white-space: nowrap manually and use pure CSS if possible.

• Floating DIV elements is not lining up...

  I have dives that I am floating so that they show side by side. Here is my code: .serviceMembersPosition { width: 190px; float: left; display: inline; border: 1px solid #999; margin: 5px 5px 5px 0; padding: 5px; } It works however if one of the DIV's has more info than the others, it stuffs up the floats. See how there is a gap in my screenshot below. Is there any way to overcome this? I am using JQuery with my website. Maybe there is some code for this?

I've seen other people's code that does this: writer.AddAttribute(HtmlTextWriterAttribute.Id, this.ID + "_divTest"); That will prevent naming conflicts between instances of my control, but what if I've already created a div elsewhere on the page that coincidentally has the same ID? I've also heard about implementing INamingContainer. Would that apply here? How could I use it?

  hi there. have looked at Phil Haacks project on books at http://haacked.com/archive/2008/10/23/model-binding-to-a-list.aspx which has been useful, but I have a mix of data types. I use a modelview so that i can have a mix of objects, in this case: Order (ie order.id, order.date etc), Customer, SoilSamplingOrder and a list of SoilSamplingSubJobs which is like this [0].id, [0].field, [1].id, [1].field etc Perhaps I should be using ICollection instead of List? I had problems getting UpdateModel to work so I used an extract from collection method. the first 4 method calls : orderRepository.FindOrder(id); etc give the model the original to be edited. but after this point i'm a little lost in how to update the subjobs. I hope i have delineated enough to make sense of the problem.   Hi there, I am having an issue with Zend_Form and your help will be appreciated. in fact I have a class to generate categories as options $categories = My_Util_Category::toHtmlSelect();//for simplicity I removed other lines this code generates <select> <option > root</option> <option> root / children</option> </select> On another hand, I use Zend_Form form to edit categories. The code looks like: $form = My_Form_Category( $data, $selectElements = array() ); which outputs a form, text field, a select box for parent categories and a submit button. How can I get 'select element' from $form, and replace it with row html 'select' generated with $categories any help, or link will be appreciated. Thanks.

  I have a list of objects. Each object has an integer quantity and a DateTime variable which contains a month and year value. I'd like to traverse the list and pad the list by adding missing months (with quantity 0) so that all consecutive months are represented in the list. What would be the best way to accomplish this? • Storyboard elements are not sized properly on the device

  In the storyboard, I am placing a table view element into a subclassed UIView. The element is not appearing on the iPad device I am running it on the same as it appears in the storyboard however. This also happens for additional content that I place into the storyboard. Below is a screenshot as it appears in the storyboard, as well as UI width/height information. And here is the description of the UI file running on the iPad. https://gist.github.com/4323186 (embedding it directly into the post is giving me problems) You'll notice that the tableview is explicitly set at 178 width, and is showing up in the description as 276 width. My initial thought was that perhaps a cell was forcing the parent to be larger (I'm very new to iOS UI development), but drilling into that shows the prototype cell it appears that the width is defined by it's parent at 178. The image views and label also are appearing in the incorrect spot, as shown in the second image below.

  In System.Windows.Forms there are a PropertyGrid that displays properties of an attached object. Let's say MyTextBox : TextBox. Now, I would like to display on it some MyTextBox properties, say only Size, Location and my custom property Date. More that than, I would like to be able to change the real property names, say "Dimension", "Location" and "Starting Date". I saw two projects on this subject : first and second, but first does not work well(for browsable properties), and the second seems to add an event for each property changes, this is not acceptable.

• IE: Undocumented "cache" attribute defined for input elements?

  Hi everybody. I've stumpled upon a strange behavior in IE(6/7/8) that drives me nuts. Given the following markup: <input type="text" value="foo" class="bar" cache="yes" send="no" /> Please note that the cache attribute is set to yes. However IE somehow manages to change the attributes value to cache="cache" when rendering the DOM. So, I wonder, is there an undocumented feature that I'm not aware of? I've googled about an hour now but couldn't find any info on this (not even on MSDN). NOTE I'm aware that adding custom attributes is non-standard compliant and that boolean attributes should be noted as attribute="attribute. Nevertheless I have to cope with these as they were introduced long before I joined the team. These custom attributes are used in conjunction with javascript to provide a more user friendly approach to form handling (and it works out quite well with Firefox/Safari/Opera/Chrome). I know that I could simply convert these custom attributes to x-data attributes that will be introduced with HTML5 but that would take me several hours of extra work - sigh. Hope, I made myself clear. Thanks in advance.

• DataGrid giving error and getting invisible whenever some elements visibility is changed

  I have a datagrid in which i have textblocks as one column.Then in the next column i have progress bar over which there is a textblock.On loading row of datagrid,i add these three into lists of textblock and progressbar.I start the first progress bar and after 15-20 minutes next progress bar is started.The next progress bar is getting started fine and after 20 minutes it is getting invisible.The problem is that if i try to make textblock invisible,then the whole Datagrid gets invisible and stops working.After all the tasks in the Datagrid are complete i need to make DataGrid invisible and also when i try to do so,the grid becomes invisible and no other event gets fired.... e.g List txtlist=new List(); i=1; txtlist[i].Visibility=Visibility.Collapsed;

• C# Nested Repeater Accessing elements

  I have a list of Accommodation objects bound to a Repeater, and then a nested Repeater which has the various attendee groups listed [e.g. Default, Seniors, Juniors]. This is all output fine, with the values displayed as LinkButtons, which when clicked gets sent to a code-behind event handler. Here is an example of the output to give you a picture [with some er... interesting attendee group names]: In the event handler, I test the object parameter to see which Repeater has been sent, as the outer repeater's links can also be clicked [so the Accommodation would be set, but no Attendee Group]. Is there a way to get a HiddenField from the outer RepeaterItem that contains the currently clicked inner repeater's LinkButton? E.g. From the image, I click the Attending link in the Women section. So the EventArgs via FindControl can get me the hidden field which contains the Attendee Group's ID, which is good, but I also need the Accommodation ID [to know whether it was either Wimbledon Hotel Inn or New Acc]

  We are considering using SVG filters as part of our toolchain, serving the SVG to browsers capable of supporting it, while serving pre-rendered PNGs to other. One problem we noticed is that the rendering of the filter chains seems to be very inconsistent across renderers. When looking at the "filters01" example from the SVG specification, the rendering looks very different across the tools we tried. Chrome (5.0.307.11) failed to render the image, while other tools (Firefox 3.6, Opera 10.10, Inkscape 0.47, GIMP 2.6.7) render something vaguely similar in style to the picture in the specification, but no two are truly the same. Is that an issue of under-specification or are the tools just not there? If we would use SVG with filter effects: is there a reference tool that can give us a rendering the way it is intended by the spec?
