  • downloading security related problem in php

    hi i have to upload a video.but i want to gives permission only authenticate user to download .but i have a problem in that.because if any body type the video detail in browser.(ex http://sitename/folder_name/videoname) then browser download that video.but i don't want this .please suggest me how can i resolve this problem.either i should generate the video name randomly or make a temporary folder in which video reside only for specific time,after this video will be delete. Or if any other ideas you have please let me know Thanks in advance

    may be this question had been asked, I've searched but still not confident about my problem.. my problem is checking valid date from string $a='23-June-11'; //valid $b='Normal String';//invalid I want to convert $a and $b using strtotime() before I do that, of course i want to validate whether $a or $b is a valid date format From $a i can get 23, 11 using explode function, but how about 'June'? using function above, 'June' is not numeric

    What I am doing that I want to generate a list based on how many items are in an array, so I have counted the items and loop over them, create a number based var and construct a string $var which contains $a1,$a2.... and assigns the $var to list list($var) and tried to access $a1 but it gives me the error "Undefined variable: a1" Is there any other way to do it?     I am looking at try to increment and decrement by three records through a table and present those records. Say if the id '4' is currently active. I want the to be display the ID's and category of 3.2.1 and 5.6.7 from an increment and decrement So far I have: $stmt = $db->query("SELECT id, category FROM test"); $stmt->execute(); while ($results = $stmt->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC)) { $current = $results['id']; $category = $results['category']; $next = array(array('slide_no' => $current, 'category' => $category)); } print_r($next); Now with this, I am getting back every row in the table. I'm now getting confused on how I could increment and decrement the records by 3 and make sure that the category will also increment correctly. Thank you very much.

  • Empty files generated from running `mysqldump` using PHP

    I keep getting empty files generated from running $command = 'mysqldump --opt -h localhost -u username -p \'password\' dbname > \'backup 2009-04-15 09-57-13.sql\''; command($command); Anyone know what might be causing this? My password has strange characters in it, but works fine with connecting to the db. I've ran exec($command, $return) and outputted the $return array and it is finding the command. I've also ran it with mysqldump > file.sql and the file contains Usage: mysqldump [OPTIONS] database [tables] OR mysqldump [OPTIONS] --databases [OPTIONS] DB1 [DB2 DB3...] OR mysqldump [OPTIONS] --all-databases [OPTIONS] For more options, use mysqldump --help So it would seem like the command is working.

    Hi, i have this two lines: var_dump($parametros_post_signin); $this->redirect('prueba/aux?email='.$parametros_post_signin['signin']); the first one prints this: array 'signin' => array 'email_address' => string '' (length=0) 'password' => string '' (length=0) the second one takes to another action where i have this code: var_dump($request->getParameter('email')); that prints this: string 'password' (length=8) I expected it to print something like this: string '' (length=0) What should i do to the get value of the 'email_address' field ?     +2-1+18*+7-21+3*-4-5+6x29 The above string is an example of the kind of string I'm trying to split into either a key = value array or something similar. The numbers represent the id of a class and -,+ and x represent the state of the class (minimised, expanded or hidden), the * represents a column break. I can split this into the columns easily using explode which gives and array with 3 $key = $value associations. eg. $column_layout = array( [0] => '+2-1+18' , [1] => '+7-21+3' , [2] => '-4-5+6x29' ) I then need to split this into the various classes from there, keeping the status and id together. eg. $column1 = array( '+' => 2 , '-' => 1 , '+' => 18 ) ... or $column1 = array( array( '+' , 2 ) , array( '-' , 1 ) , array( '+' , 18 ) ) ... I can't quite get my head round this and what the best way to do it is, so any help would be much appreciated.

    I am wanting to use "keywords" within a large string. These keywords start and end using *my_keyword* and are user defined. How, within a large string, can I search and find what is between the two * characters and return each instance? The reason it might change it, that parts of the keywords can be user defined, such as *page_date_Y* which might show the year in which the page was created. So, again, I just need to do a search and return what is between those * characters. Is this possible, or is there a better way of doing this if I don't know the "keyword" length or what i might be?

    I have an array $aMethods whose print_r output is this: Array ( [0] => Array ( [pattern] => [return_media] => 1 [return_name] => ) ) I'm trying to access 'return_media' with this code: $iReturnMedia = $aMethods[0]->return_media; echo $iReturnMedia; Also, when I tried this: $iReturnMedia = $aMethods[0]['return_media']; I get an error stating: Cannot use string offset as an array in... But it's not working, $iReturnMedia comes back as blank. Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong here?

  • Problem with unlink() in php!

    I'm creating a temp image always named 1.png under specific folder and once i read the image_contents and process, i use unlink() to delete that specific image from that folder. But sometimes the image file is not deleted and the same image is file is read and processed. That script is working otherwise fine... There is no permission related issues , as the files are deleted sometimes... Will there be any issue when the script is repeatedly called and the image with the name is already present and not deleted etc.. ???     Hello, I am trying to perform some calculations with a form but every time i try to work with checkboxes it goes wrong. The checkboxes are beign set on value 1 in the form itselff and are being checked if there checked or not. $verdieping = isset($_POST["verdieping"]) ? $_POST["verdieping"] : 0; $telefoon = isset($_POST["telefoon"]) ? $_POST["telefoon"] : 0; $netwerk = isset($_POST["netwerk"]) ? $_POST["netwerk"] : 0; When i try to do calculations every works expect for the options with the checkboxes. When both checkboxes (telefoon & netwerk) are selected the value should be 30. If only one is selected the value should be 20. But no mather what i have tried to write down it always give problem, and it always uses 20, never the value 30. How do i solve this problem? Or suppose i am writing the syntax all wrong to lay conditions to a calculation?
