    Hello, I am runninig test's with Python Unittest. I am running tests but I want to do negative testing and I would like to test if a function throw's an exception, it passes but if no exception is thrown the test fail's. The script I have is: try: result = self.client.service.GetStreamUri(self.stream, self.token) self.assertFalse except suds.WebFault, e: self.assertTrue else: self.assertTrue This alway's passes as True even when the function work's perfectly. I have also tried various other way's including: try: result = self.client.service.GetStreamUri(self.stream, self.token) self.assertFalse except suds.WebFault, e: self.assertTrue except Exception, e: self.assertTrue Does anyone have any suggestions?     I would like the input stream read to block instead of reading end of stream (-1). Is there a way to configure the stream to do this? The word page contains the table property of html design page. It occurs only in Word 2003. But in word 2007 the word document contains the text with out table property. When you scroll up and down the list maybe you end up filling all of them. When I tried the commented out line (holder.avatar.setImageBitmap...) the app sometimes force closes with "only the thread that created the view can request...". But only sometimes. Any idea how I can fix this? Either option.

    I know this looks like a 'please write the code' request, but some basic pointer/principles for doing this the right way should be enough to get me going. I have the following stored procedure: CREATE PROCEDURE `TAA`.`runClean` (IN idlist varchar(1000)) BEGIN DECLARE EXIT HANDLER FOR NOT FOUND ROLLBACK; DECLARE EXIT HANDLER FOR SQLEXCEPTION ROLLBACK; DECLARE EXIT HANDLER FOR SQLWARNING ROLLBACK; START TRANSACTION; DELETE FROM RunningReports WHERE run_id IN (idlist); DELETE FROM TMD_INDATA_INVOICE WHERE run_id IN (idlist); DELETE FROM TMD_INDATA_LINE WHERE run_id IN (idlist); DELETE FROM TMD_OUTDATA_INVOICE WHERE run_id IN (idlist); DELETE FROM TMD_OUTDATA_LINE WHERE run_id IN (idlist); DELETE FROM TMD_TEST WHERE run_id IN (idlist); DELETE FROM RunHistory WHERE id IN (idlist); COMMIT; END $$ It is called by a PHP script to clean out old run history. It is not particularly efficient as you can see and I would like to speed it up. The PHP script gathers the ids to remove from the tables with the following query: $query = "SELECT id, stop_time FROM RunHistory WHERE config_id = $configId AND save = 0 AND NOT(stop_time IS NULL) ORDER BY stop_time"; It keeps the last five run entries and deletes all the rest. So using this query to bring back all the IDs, it determines which ones to delete and keeps the 'newest' five. After gathering the IDs it sends them to the stored procedure to remove them from the associated tables. I'm not very good with SQL, but I ASSUME that using an IN statement and not joining these tables together is probably the least efficient way I can do this, but I don't know enough to ask anything but "how do I do this better?" If possible, I would like to do this all in my stored procedure using a query to gather all the IDs except for the five 'newest', then delete them. Another twist, run entries can be marked save (save = 1) and should not be deleted.   • Large File Download - Connection With Server Reset

    I have an asp.net website that allows the user to download largish files - 30mb to about 60mb. Sometimes the download works fine but often it fails at some varying point before the download finishes with the message saying that the connection with the server was reset. Originally I was simply using Server.TransmitFile but after reading up a bit I am now using the code posted below.   • How to get Firefox to not continue to show "Transferring data from..." in browser status bar after a

    The following silverlight demo loads and displays a text file from a server. However, in Firefox (but not Explorer or Chrome) after you click the button and the text displays, the status bar continues to show "Transferring data from test.development..." which erroneously gives the user the belief that something is still loading. I've noticed that if you click on another Firefox tab and then back on the original one, the message goes away, so it seems to be just a Firefox bug that doesn't clear the status bar automatically. Is there a way to clear the status bar automatically in Firefox? or a way to explicitly tell it that the async loading is finished so it can clear the status bar itself?     I am writing my first Spring 3.0.5 MVC app and am confused about why my controller mappings aren't doing what I expect.     I would like to stuff an 'A' character back into stdin using ungetc on receipt of SIGUSR1. Imagine that I have a good reason for doing this. When calling foo(), the blocking read in stdin is not interrupted by the ungetc call on receipt of the signal.   • jQuery: Self Executing Plugin?

    I am working on expansion of my jQuery plug-in authoring knowledge, just playing around with my own ideas for learning benefits. So i was wondering how you guys tackle the need of plugin executing without any user specific input. So I have a need for plug-in that executes right away after document is ready, without any user's specific input just as long as doc is loaded, so the only way I see how to execute plug-in on it's own is to attach handler to ready listener that executes my function which I extended the jQuery with. And because this needs to be self enclosed, part of the code, I attach handler to event listener within the function. So how else could one tackle this? Any take at this is appreciated.     How do i render a web cam filter instead of video file? I am looking at the vmr9compositor example included in the directshow sdk. It renders a video file. I would like to stream in the feed from the webcam. It SEEMS like this should be possible, but I dont have much of a grasp on directshow. It uses this method call currently: hr = g_graph->RenderFile( pFileName, NULL ); Looking at the playcap example in the sdk which can display the web cam feed in a window, I see that it uses hr = g_pCapture->RenderStream (&PIN_CATEGORY_PREVIEW, &MEDIATYPE_Video, pSrcFilter, NULL, NULL)); to display the web cam stream. pSrcFilter is an IBaseFilter. How can I can swap the video file in the vmr app with the web cam feed? Windows XP, Visual Studio 2008 C++

    I would like to log the module and classname by default in log messages from my request handlers. The usual way to do this seems to be to set a custom format string by calling logging.basicConfig, but this can only be called once and has already been called by the time my code runs. Another method is to create a new log Handler which can be passed a new log Formatter, but this doesn't seem right as I want to use the existing log handler that App Engine has installed. What is the right way to have extra information added to all log messages in python App Engine, but otherwise use the existing log format and sink?

  • Accessing HttpRequest from Global.asax via a page

    I'm trying to get a property (ImpersonatePersonId) from a page in global.asax but get a HttpException saying 'Request is not available in this context'. I've been searching for some documentation on where in the pipeline the request is accessible, but as far as I can see all Microsoft can produce of documentation is one-liners like "PostRequestHandlerExecute: Occurs when the ASP.NET event handler finishes execution." which really doesn't give me much... I've tried placing the call in both Pre and PostRequestHandlerExceute but with the same result. I wonder if anyone with experience in this would be so kind as to tell me where the Request object is available. My code from global asax is below.     Would really appreciate if anyone can help me figure out why I am unable to fire events programmatically when using event delegation in MooTools (from the Element.Delegation class). There is a parent <div> that has a change listener on some child <input> elements. When the change event is triggered by user actions, the handler on the parent div gets triggered, but when I fire it programmatically with fireEvent on any child input, nothing happens. The basic setup is: html <div id="listener"> <input type="text" id="color" class="color" /> ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????</div>??????????? js $("listener").addEvent("change:relay(.color)", function() { alert("changed!!"); }); $("color").fireEvent("change"); // nothing happens The event handler on the parent div does not get called.     Hi, I have an ASP.NET web application. In the codebehind for the .ascx page (which I embed as below), I attempt to write a string to a textbox in a method like this: Code for embedding control: Control ctrl = Page.LoadControl("/RackRecable.ascx"); PlaceHolder1.Controls.Add(ctrl); Method to make string for inserting into textbox: string AppendDetails() { StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); sb.Append("msg" + " " + textbox1.Text etc etc ); return sb.ToString(); } Called as (in codebehind event handler for button click): this.TextBox4.Text = AppendDetails(); I call it by using ATextBox.Text = AppendDetails (in the button click event handler). The textbox TextBox4 is in the designer file so I am confused why the text does not get written into this textbox (it is readonly and enabled). When stepping through, the textbox4 control will successfully show the text I want it to display in quick watch but not in the actual page, it won't. Any ideas? Thanks

So there will be two simultaneous events. Is it possible to get inside event handler array of objects (DIVs) what have click event? May be it is possible using other framework but jQuery?

    So according to Sun's J2EE documentation (http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-3669/bnani?l=en&a=view), "If a tag attribute is not required, a tag handler should provide a default value." My question is how in the hell do I define a default value as per the documentation's description. Here's the code: <%@ attribute name="visible" required="false" type="java.lang.Boolean" %> <c:if test="${visible}"> My Tag Contents Here </c:if> Obviously, this tag won't compile because it's lacking the tag directive and the core library import. My point is that I want the "visible" property to default to TRUE. The "tag attribute is not required," so the "tag handler should provide a default value." I want to provide a default value, so what am I missing? Any help is greatly appreciated.

When I run it it hangs on using (Stream postStream = request.EndGetRequestStream(asynchronousResult)) If I comment out the requestState.Wait.WaitOne(); line the code executes correctly but obviously doesn't wait for the response. I'm guessing the the call to EndGetRequestStream is somehow returning me to the context of the main thread??
