I'd like to be able to synchronize sections of different Word documents, such that if a section in one document changes, the change is reflected in the other document, and vice versa.   • Finding a small image in a bigger one

    Given an image with a large dimension ( 1.000 x 1.000). What is a good approach to find a small image (e.g. 50 x 50) in the big one? The smaller image can be rotated and differ in the size, but only with a 1:1 ratio. It's not related to any programming language - I'm just interested in pattern recognition. Thank you.

    Hi, A portion of my laptop screen broke. Is there any kind of software that will just ignore that part and resize everything accordingly? It's like 1/6 of the screen on the right that makes anything over there impossible to see. If not, what would be the best programming language to go about making my own program? I want to make such system which will be storing one telnet connection per switch and every script (web interface, cron jobs, etc.) will have access to it.   • Is Odersky serious with "bills !*&^%~ code!" ?

    In his book programming in scala (Chapter 5 Section 5.9 Pg 93) Odersky mentioned this expression "bills !*&^%~ code! In the footnote on same page: "By now you should be able to figure out that given this code,the Scala compiler would invoke (bills.!*&^%~(code)).!()." That's a bit to cryptic for me, could someone explain what's going on here?

    hello i am trying to sort a textual file using c programming language, in order to sort the file i am using a unique key, i need to be able to jump from line to line in order to sort the file , the problem is that i do not know if there is a command in c which let me jump from the first line to lets say the 20 line for example the only solution which i know for it is to use each time fscanf with a loop but this solution is not very effective thanks in advance for your time.

  • Removing the transperancy from image while keeping the actual image

    Hello people, I have three images,and , they are not square or rectangular in shape. They are just like face of anyone. So,basically, my images are in the size 196x196 or anything like that, but complete square or rectangle with the face in the middle and transperant background in the rest of the portion. Now, I want to remove the transperant background too and just keep the faces. Don't know if this is possible and mind you, this isn't a programming question.
