    - by Vikram
    Hello friends! This is the script I am using to display an accordion in my Joomla site: <?php defined('JPATH_BASE') or die(); gantry_import('core.gantryfeature'); class GantryFeatureAccordion extends GantryFeature { var $_feature_name = 'accordion'; function init() { global $gantry; if ($this->get('enabled')) { $gantry->addScript('accordion.js'); $gantry->addInlineScript($this->_accordion()); } } function render($position="") { ob_start(); ?> <div id="accordion"> <dl> <?php foreach (glob("templates/rt_gantry_j15/features/accordion/*.php") as $filename) {include($filename);} ?> </dl> </div> <?php return ob_get_clean(); } function _accordion() { global $gantry; $js = " jQuery.noConflict(); (function($){ $(document).ready(function () { $('#accordion').easyAccordion({ slideNum: true, autoStart: true, slideInterval: 4000 }); }); })(jQuery); "; return $js; } } I want to call these three values in the templateDetails.XML file as a user input. slideNum: true, autoStart: true, slideInterval: 4000 Like this in the templateDetails.xml file: <param name="accordion" type="chain" label="ACCORDION" description="ACCORDION_DESC"> <param name="slideNum" type="text" default="true" label="Offset Y" class="text-short" /> <param name="autoStart" type="text" default="true" label="Offset Y" class="text-short" /> <param name="autoStart" type="text" default="4000" label="Offset Y" class="text-short" /> </param> How can I do so? What will be the exact syntax for the same. I am very new to programming ans specially to JavaScript. Kindly help.

My view $(function() { $("#txtUserSuburb").autocomplete({ source: function(request, response){ $.ajax({ url: "autocomplete/suggestions", data: { term: $("#txtUserSuburb").val() }, dataType: "json", type: "POST", success: function(data){ response(data); } }); }, minLength: 2 }); }); My controller function suggestions(){ $this->load->model('autocomplete_model'); $term = $this->input->post('term', TRUE); $rows = $this->autocomplete_model->getAutocomplete($term); echo json_encode($rows); } My Model function getAutocomplete() { $this->db->like('postcode', $term, 'after'); $query = $this->db->get('tbl_postcode'); $keywords = array(); foreach($query->result() as $row){ array_push($keywords, $row->postcode); } return $keywords; } There arent any errors except it doesn't seem to be passing the $term variable to the model.

  • how to keep the value of a variable in a closure

    - by Florian Fida
    i need to create multiple javascript functions which have a static id inside, so the function itself knows what data to process. Here is some code: (function(){ function log(s){ if(console && console.log) console.log(s); else alert(s); } var i = 10; while (i--){ window.setTimeout(function(){ // i need i to be 10, 9, 8... here not -1 log(i); },500); } })(); The problem ist that i allways gets updated by the loop, and i need to prevent this. Thanks in advance for any help, comments or tips!

  • PHP Access property of a class from within a class instantiated in the original class.

    - by Iain
    I'm not certain how to explain this with the correct terms so maybe an example is the best method... $master = new MasterClass(); $master->doStuff(); class MasterClass { var $a; var $b; var $c; var $eventProccer; function MasterClass() { $this->a = 1; $this->eventProccer = new EventProcess(); } function printCurrent() { echo '<br>'.$this->a.'<br>'; } function doStuff() { $this->printCurrent(); $this->eventProccer->DoSomething(); $this->printCurrent(); } } class EventProcess { function EventProcess() {} function DoSomething() { // trying to access and change the parent class' a,b,c properties } } My problem is i'm not certain how to access the properties of the MasterClass from within the EventProcess-DoSomething() method? I would need to access, perform operations on and update the properties. The a,b,c properties will be quite large arrays and the DoSomething() method would be called many times during the execuction of the script. Any help or pointers would be much appreciated :)

  • Profiling and Graphics.updateDisplay0()

    - by AD
    I am profiling my BlackBerry application (a game) with the options 'In method only' and 'Time including native method'. Under the 'All methods' node (after a decent run of the game) the single most time consuming function is Graphics.updateDisplay0() with over 50% of the run time spent there. I don't quite know what is the purpose of that function or if I can do anything to reduce its processing time, so if anyone can shed some light on the matter, I would be grateful. Because from what I understand with the 'In method only' option, it means there is some processing within that function. ps. there is no information on that function in the documentation.

  • Javascript & jquery : Unable to increment within a form

    - by Daniyal
    I got a simple increment function like this: $(function(){ $("#inc").click(function(){ var value = parseInt($(":text[name='ice_id']").val()) + 1; $(":text[name='ice_id']").val(value); }); $("#dec").click(function(){ var value = parseInt($(":text[name='ice_id']").val()) - 1; $(":text[name='ice_id']").val(value); }); }); the ice_id text field is embedded within a form <form id="masterSubmit" name="masterSubmit" action="" method="post"> <td><input id="ice_id" type="text" name="ice_id" size="16" maxlength="15"></td> </form> When I try now to increment , it successfully increments a number, but shows the following weird behavior: It 'refreshes' the site, so that the content of the text field is gone. This behavior disappears, if I comment out the form tags ...unfortunately the form tags are required for an AJAX-submit. Are there any ways to avoid this problem? Thanks in advance for any hints and best regards Daniyal

    - by Jeepstone
    I have the following piece of Mootools 1.11 code (not upgradable as this is within Joomla), which I want to highlight the form row, when an item within it is focussed. However, this doesn't work. I need to know how to access the parent div of the form item. window.addEvent('domready', function() { var list = $$('#ChronoContact_lensorder div.formrow'); list.each(function(element) { var fx = new Fx.Styles(element, {duration:200, wait:false}); element.addEvent('focus', function(){ fx.start({ 'background-color': '#e6f0f2', color: '#FFF' }); }); element.addEvent('focus', function(){ fx.start({ 'background-color': '#FFF', 'color': '#2F9AD0' }); }); }); }); HTML is: <div class="formrow"> <label for="ud">Uncut Diameter:</label> <input type="text" id="ud" name="ud" /> </div> Thanks

  • (gcc) Multi-Dim Array or Double Pointer for Warning-free Compile

    - by paul simmons
    Hi, I have a function, which is called sometimes with regular, sometimes dynamic arrays. If I define the function as function_name(int[10][10] a) and send int** as a parameter, I get a warning. Opposite, if I declare function_name(int** a) and send int[][] as a parameter (after casting) I cannot access to array elements inside function. What is the correctest way?

  • jQuery doesn't work after an Ajax post

    - by user1758979
    I'm using jQuery to sort a list of entries, between <LI></LI> tags, and then an Ajax post to validate the order and 'update' the page with the content returned. $.ajax({url: "./test.php?id=<?php echo $id; ?>&action=modify", contenttype: "application/x-www-form-urlencoded;charset=utf-8", data: {myJson: data}, type: 'post', success: function(data) { $('html').html(data); OnloadFunction (); } }); Then, I lose the ability to sort the list (I'm not sure if clear...). I tried to move the content of the $(document).ready inside the OnloadFunction (), and call it with <script>OnloadFunction ();</script> inside the block dealing with the modifications to do : $action= $_GET['action']; if ($action == "modify") { // Code here } but it doesn't work... I can't figure out how to do that. Could anyone help ? I stripped out the main part of the code to keep only the essential (filename: test.php) <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"> <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery-1.8.2.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery-ui-1.9.0.custom.min.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function(){ //alert("I am ready"); OnloadFunction (); }); function OnloadFunction () { $(function() { $("#SortColumn ul").sortable({ opacity: 0.6, cursor: 'move', update: function() {} }); }); //alert('OnloadFunction ends'); } function valider(){ var SortedId = new Array(); SortIdNb = 0; $('#SortColumn ul li').each(function() { SortedId.push(this.id); }); var data = { /* Real code contains an array with the <li> id */ CheckedId: "CheckedId", SortedId: SortedId, }; data = JSON.stringify(data); $.ajax({url: "./test.php?id=<?php echo $id; ?>&action=modify", contenttype: "application/x-www-form-urlencoded;charset=utf-8", data: {myJson: data}, type: 'post', success: function(data) { //alert(data); $('html').html(data); OnloadFunction (); } }); } </script> </head> <body> <? $action= $_GET['action']; $id = $_GET['id']; if ($id == 0) {$id=1;} $id += 1; if ($action == "modify") { echo "action: modify<br>"; echo "id (àvèc aççént$): ".$id."<br>"; // "(àvèc aççént$)" to check characters because character set is incorrect after the ajax post $data = json_decode($_POST['myJson'], true); // PHP code here to treat the new list send via the post and update the database print_r($data); } ?> <!-- PHP code here to get the following list from the database --> <div id="SortColumn"> <ul> <li id="recordsArray_1">recordsArray_1</li> <li id="recordsArray_2">recordsArray_2</li> <li id="recordsArray_3">recordsArray_3</li> <li id="recordsArray_4">recordsArray_4</li> <li id="recordsArray_5">recordsArray_5</li> </ul> </div> <input type="button" value="Modifier" onclick="valider();"> </body> </html>

  • Flex Tree Properties, Null Reference?

    - by mvrak
    I am pulling down a large XML file and I have no control over it's structure. I used a custom function to use the tag name to view the tree structure as a flex tree, but then it breaks. I am guessing it has something to do with my other function, one that calls attribute values from the selected node. See code. <mx:Tree x="254" y="21" width="498" height="579" id="xmllisttree" labelFunction="namer" dataProvider="{treeData}" showRoot="false" change="treeChanged(event)" /> //and the Cdata import mx.rpc.events.ResultEvent; [Bindable] private var fullXML:XMLList; private function contentHandler(evt:ResultEvent):void{ fullXML = evt.result.page; } [Bindable] public var selectedNode:Object; public function treeChanged(event:Event):void { selectedNode=Tree(event.target).selectedItem; } public function namer(item:Object):String { var node:XML = XML(item); var nodeName:QName = node.name(); var stringtest:String ="bunny"; return nodeName.localName; } The error is TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. Where is the null reference?

  • onPageLoad is not working properly in Firefox Extension Development

    - by Tharaka Deshan
    I am new to Firefox Extension Development and doing my 1st program. Simply I needed to pop up a alert once it loaded the page. My code was like this: var myExtension = { init: function() { if(gBrowser) gBrowser.addEventListener("DOMContentLoaded", this.onPageLoad, false); }, onPageLoad: function(aEvent) { alert("Loaded"); } } window.addEventListener("load", function load(event){ window.removeEventListener("load", load, false); myExtension.init(); },false); But I am getting the alert box for couple of times. Then I found about "#document" and then I added a IF condition: onPageLoad: function(aEvent) { if (aEvent.originalTarget.nodeName == '#document') { alert("Loaded"); } } Unfortunately still I am getting the same. Please advise me on this.

  • php extending but with a new constructor...possible?

    - by Patrick
    I have a class: class test { function __construct() { print 'hello'; } function func_one() { print 'world'; } } what I would like to do is a have a class that sort of extends the test class. I say 'sort of', because the class needs to be able to run whatever function the test class is able to run, but NOT run the construct unless I ask it to. I do not want to override the construct. Anyone has any idea how to achieve this?

  • Changing the href attribute on hover with jQuery

    - by AverageJoe
    Ok, I have an html page that is loaded into another html page via PHP (ok so its a PHP page, whatever). The page that is loaded is a list of hyperlinks. I need to change the href attribute to make the hyperlinks relative to the location of the stored images they refer too. When i load the page containing the hyperlinks the links are relative to the web host server, not the server that the page is actually hosted from. Somthing like this: <div #screenshots) <p><a href="image1.htm">Image1</a></p> <p><a href="image2.htm">Image2</a></p> <p><a href="image3.htm">Image3</a></p> <p><a href="image4.htm">Image4</a></p> <p><a href="image5.htm">Image5</a></p> </div> When I mouse over the links, the status bar shows the reference as "http://webHostServer.com/image1.htm". If I click it I get a 404 error. I need the href to change to something like this when I mouse over it: "http://www.actualImageHostServerIPaddress/image1.htm" I looked at this for assitance and came out with the following jQuery code, but for some reason none of it works: $(document).ready(function(){ $("button").click(function() { $("#screenshots a").addClass('ss'); }); $(".ss").each(function() { $(this).data("oldHref", $(this).attr("href")); orig = $(this).attr("href"); over = "http://208.167.244.33/208.167.244.33/"; $(this).hover(function() { $(this).attr("href", $(this).attr("href").replace(orig, over+orig)); }, function() { $(this).attr("href", $(this).data("oldHref")); }); }); When I click the button it dosen't add the class to the anchor tags, so when I hover over them nothing changes. Any help here would be great.

  • Create table and call it from sql

  • How to change PHP's eregi to preg_match

    - by jasondavis
    I need help, below is a small VERY basic regex to somewhat validate an email, I do realize it does not work the greatest but for my needs it is ok for now. • I am using jquery ajax using text() but any html written in the XML doesn't render?

    - by Xtian
    So I have Jquery Ajax working real nice, but an issue I am having is in my XML if I want to bold a work or Italicize a sentence, if I do it in the XML using HTML tags it will not show up. I am pretty sure it is due to using the .text(). Any suggestions on a work around for this? $(document).ready(function(){ $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "xml/sites.xml", dataType: "xml", success: function(xml) { $(xml).find('site').each(function(){ $(this).find('desc').each(function(){ var brief = $(this).find('brief').text(); var long = $(this).find('long').text(); var url = $(this).find('url').text(); $('<div class="brief"></div>').html(brief).appendTo('#link_'+id);

  • jQuery: inherit functions to several objects

    - by Fuxi
    hi, i made several table-based-widgets (listview-kind-of) which all have the same characteristics: styling odd/even rows, hover on/off, set color onClick, deleting a row when clicking on trash-icon. so it's always the same (prototype-)code for each widget. is there a way to have the code only once then simply apply/inherit it to all widgets? 2nd, here's some of the code - could this be optimized? var me = this; $("tr",this.table).each(function(i) { var tr = $(this); tr.bind("mouseover",function(){me.hover(tr,true)}); tr.bind("mouseout",function(){me.hover(tr,false)}); tr.bind("click",function(){me.Click(tr)}); }); $("tr").filter(":odd").addClass("odd");

  • scripting subtlties [closed]

    - by jpmyob
    Possible Duplicates: When to use anonymous JavaScript functions? Is there any difference between var name = function() {} & function name() {} in Javascript? in javascript (and other scripting languages) what is the 'real' difference between these two syntax: a) function myFun(x) { yadda yadda } b) myFun(x) = function { yadda yadda } to a casual observer - no 'real' difference - you still call either as myFun()...and they still return the same thing, so if reference and return are identical - is it a preference or is there some difference in the code parsing engine that treats these two differently - and if so - when would you use one over the other???
