  • How can I get the assembly last modified date?

    I want to render (for internal debugging/info) the last modified date of an assembly, so I know when was a certain website deployed. Is it possible to get it though reflection? I get the version like this, I'm looking for something similar: Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().GetName().Version.ToString(); ie: I don't want to open the physical file, get its properties, or something like that, as I'll be rendering it in the master page, and don't want that kind of overhead.

    Hi guys, Last week while i was working on WYSIWYG - cKeditor. a question came in my mind. Is there any way to extract or pull out the content of doc or docx file into the blogger or wordpress text area. For instance, we need not to select and copy the text or images from doc(x) file. All we need to do is hand over the file to WYSIWYG and content of doc(x) file is pasted in the post. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks Fawaz

    I'm working at a web application in Python/Twisted. I want the user to be able to download a very big file ( 100 Mb). I don't want to load all the file in memory (of the server), of course. server side I have this idea: ... request.setHeader('Content-Type', 'text/plain') fp = open(fileName, 'rb') try: r = None while r != '': r = fp.read(1024) request.write(r) finally: fp.close() request.finish() I expected this to work, but I have problems: I'm testing with FF... It seems the browser make me wait until the file is completed downloaded, and then I have the open/save dialog box. I expected the dialog box immediately, and then the progress bar in action... Maybe I have to add something in the Http header... Something like the size of the file?

  • Need help in downloading file with header() function

    Hi. I'm trying to explain as best as I can, sorry for my English. I have a list of links, each linked to a php file with an id by parameters (ex. download.php?id=1 or ?id=2 and so on). This file create a new instance of a class witch return the correct header of the files so it displays the save dialog box of the browser. Now I need to check if the files is already downloaded in past (The first time you downloaded it I add a field on the mysql db). This checks go ahead if you haven't download the files, else return false. Here is the problem, when it returns false or something else the browser redirect me to the download.php file, so I get a blank page or what I'm echoing. I need that if the file is already download it show me a js alert for advice ppl. Hope you can understand what i mean. Thanks for help

  • Inserting a WAV at a certain point in an audio file using python

    My problem is the following: I have a 2-minute long WAV file, and my aim is to insert another WAV file (7 seconds long), at a certain point in the first WAV file (say, 0:48), essentially combining the two WAVs, using python. Unfortunately I haven't been able to figure out how to do that, and was wondering if there was some obvious solution that I was missing, or if it is even feasible to do with python. Is there perhaps a library available that might provide a solution? Thanks to all in advance.

For example: If a database file of database04.sqlite is available, it should use that one instead.   • C Question: How to store data inside the executable file

    Hello all, complete newbie here, I need to find a way to store 250 KB of plain text numbers inside my program's executable file. Usually, I would put the data in a separate file and let the program read it while it is running, but that's not an option here. Instead, the program and the data need to be in one executable file. I have absolutely no idea how to do it (except writing 250.000 #defines :-) and I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thank you very much!

    I've been investigating possibilities on editing remote files from a website without having a need to download and upload the files manually while editing. So far I've ruled out WebDAV as a possibility since it is cumbersome to use on any platform (it either requires manual setup or works unreliably). Currently I'm looking in to various Applets, but they mostly target either uploading or downloading, not file editing. What I'm currently looking for is an applet that downloads the document, launches the application that is meant to open the file and then monitors the file for changes and uploads the changed file (either automatically or by prompting the user first). I know that I'm not alone with this scenario, so i'm looking for solutions that others have thought of.

I am deploying the war to JBoss 5.1 and the jar in question contains a persistence.xml file that I don't want.     I am processing a file full of unix time strings. I want to convert them all to human readable. The file looks like so: 1153335401 1153448586 1153476729 1153494310 1153603662 1153640211 Here is the script: #! /bin/bash FILE="test.txt" cat $FILE | while read line; do perl -e 'print scalar(gmtime($line)), "\n"' done This is not working. The output I get is Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 for every line. I think the line breaks are being picked up and that is why it is not working. Any ideas? I'm using Mac OSX is that makes any difference.

  • Streaming data to the browser as a file of unknown size

    I have some data which is queried from the database and I'd like to send it to the client as a csv file. The file size varies each time due to the fact that the DB data returned can be of any size. Instead of saving this file to the hard disk, I'd like to send it to the browser at the same time it's being processed into a CSV by my algorithm. Response.Write seems useless. For some reason, the file download dialog is only displayed once my processing is finished. This seems odd as I'm writting all my output to the Response.Output stream. I have downloaded files on the web before where the filesize is not known and the browser just keeps on downloading. Is there any way to achieve this?     I've created a custom solution in WordPress that will generate a CSV file to be downloaded by clicking a simple hyperlink, linked directly to this file. Instead of being prompted to download the file to the computer; the CSV opens in the the browser window instead. FWIW I'm on Media Temple using a vanilla install of WordPress.

I guess It is not effi?iently for such tasks. I need something that can auto-generate a code for load and save my program settings using predefined xml-schema. I found a dataset in Add New Item dialog. Unfortunately, i cannot add new code to dataset1 such as events in set-accessors of properties because of this // Changes to this file may cause incorrect behavior and will be lost if // the code is regenerated.   • iOS get file size on disk

    I'm trying to get the size on disk of a file in iOS using Objective C. As of now I've been able to get the actual size of the file and other file information using NSFileManager and then getting the attributes attributesOfItemAtPath:error but not the size on disk. I also tried getting the file size from struct stat but again it doesn't give me size on disk.I tried using NSTask to make a call to du -h but iOS didn't allow me to fork other processes. Any ideas are welcome :) I know this questions is similar to many others but the difference is that I'm trying to do this in iOS and most of the methods used in other systems don't work here. Thanks

    Hi everybody, I'm using the python logging module with the "native" configuration file support (config.fileconfig) as describe in the documentation here : http://docs.python.org/library/logging.html (see the logging.conf file) I was wondering if it's possible to supply a tabulated data format in the configuration file? The sample configuration file is the following: [formatter_simpleFormatter] format=%(asctime)s - %(name)s - %(levelname)s - %(message)s I though that using the \t in the format would be enough but it doesn't. format=%(asctime)s\t%(name)s\t%(levelname)s\t%(message)s\t If I do so it print \t in the result. I tried a couple of thing without success. I suppose it's really easy to do but I don't find it! How can I do that?

    Take a simple XML file formatted like this: <Lists> <List> <Note/> ... <Note/> </List> <List> <Note/> ... <Note/> </List> </Lists> Each node has some attributes that actually hold the data of the file. I need a very quick way to count the number of each type of element, (List and Note). Lists is simply the root and doesn't matter. I can do this with a simple string search or something similar, but I need to make this as fast as possible. Design Parameters: Must be in java (Android application). Must AVOID allocating memory as much as possible. Must return the total number of Note elements and the number of List elements in the file, regardless of location in file. Number of Lists will typically be small (1-4), and number of notes can potentially be very large (upwards of 1000, typically 100) per file. I look forward to your suggestions.
