Write file to blob (entity byte[] varible) with this line: row.file = System.IO.File.ReadAllBytes(file_to_load.FileName); //row.file is type byte[] //row is entity class table All work correctly when files size is less. When size more 300Mb app throw exception: Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown. How I can write to blob direct, without memory varibles?

  I'd like to create a gallery of photos that swipe left and right. At first I took a look at Gallery, but it's marked as deprecated. http://developer.android.com/reference/android/widget/Gallery.html We're told to try ViewPager instead. But the PagerAdapter class doesn't handle recycling of views for us (like a standard ListView), does it? http://developer.android.com/reference/android/support/v4/view/PagerAdapter.html Is it up to us to build the recycling mechanism? • trying to get the most accurate device location from GPS or Network in Android

  I am trying to determine the most accurate location of a device, in the shortest time possible. I am storing the data as a geopoint, and have it displayed on a mapview. The last time I activated the GPS on my device and let it get a location lock, i was approx 80 miles from where I am now. I have a location manager setup and a location listener. If I do this, I get NULL. myLocOverlay = new MyLocationOverlay(this, mapView); GeoPoint test = myLocOverlay.getMyLocation(); but in the next couple of lines; myLocOverlay.enableMyLocation(); mapView.getOverlays().add(myLocOverlay); With this, the overlay on the map shows the current location. It is using the Network provider, but is also attempting to get a GPS fix (it can't as I am indoors and no where near the top floor). If I construct the geopoint like this; if(lm.getLastKnownLocation("gps") != null) { test = new GeoPoint( (int) (lm.getLastKnownLocation("gps").getLatitude() * 1E6), (int) (lm.getLastKnownLocation("gps").getLongitude() * 1E6)); } else { if(lm.getLastKnownLocation("network") != null) { test = new GeoPoint( (int) (lm.getLastKnownLocation("network").getLatitude() * 1E6), (int) (lm.getLastKnownLocation("network").getLongitude() * 1E6)); } //bad things } Then I get confusing results. If I disable the devices GPS provider then the code moves onto the Network Provider and gives me a fairly accurate result. If I enable the GPS provider, then the geopoint comes back as the last place I allowed the device to get a GPS lock. I want to avoid the above results, and so was looking at using; GeoPoint test = myLocOverlay.getMyLocation(); BUT as I said above, I just get NULL from that. Short of getting the geopoints from both GPS and Network and then comparing them, and disregarding the GPS result if it is say 1 mile out of the Network location - i'm a bit stuck. why doesn't getMyLocation() work, shouldnt that return the GeoPoint of what myLocOverlay is showing on the mapview?

• ASP.NET Web Service Throws 401 (unauthorized) Error

  Hi Experts, I have this .NET application to be run in an intranet environment. It is configured so that it requires Windows Authentication before you can access the website (Anonymous access is disabled). This website calls a web service (enable anonymous access) and the web service calls the DB. We do have a token-based authentication between the web application and the web service to secure the communication between them. The issue I'm facing is that when I deploy this to production, I'm having an intermittent issue whereby the communication between the web application and the web service failed. The 401 issue was thrown. This is actually working fine in our QA environment. Is this an issue with Active Directory? Or could it be an isssue with FQDN as mentioned here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;896861? The weirdest thing is that this is happening intermittently when tested in both on the server itself and a remote workstation in my client's environment. But, this is working perfectly in my environment. OS: Windows Server SP1 IIS 6 .NET 3.5 Framework Any idea about the 401 (Unauthorized) issue?? Thx for the help... This is from the log...   Consider the following model: public class BandProfileModel { public BandModel Band { get; set; } public IEnumerable<Relationship> Requests { get; set; } } and the following form: <% using (Html.BeginForm()) { %> <%: Html.EditorFor(m => m.Band) %> <input type="submit" value="Save Band" /> <% } %> which posts to the following action: public ActionResult EditPost(BandProfileModel m, string band) { // stuff is done here, but m is null? return View(m); } Basically, I only have one property on my model that is used in the form. The other property in BandProfleModel is just used in the UI for other data. I'm trying to update just the Band property, but for each post, the argument "m" is always null (specifically, the .Band property is null). It's posting just fine to the action, so it isn't a problem with my route. Just the data is null. The ID and name attributes of the fields are BAND_whatever and Band.whatever (whatever being a property of Band), so it seems like it would work... What am I doing wrong? How can I use just one property as part of a form, post back, and have values populated via the model binder for my BandProfileModel property in the action? Thanks.

Can I make Resharper just add the reference automatically, or do I need to manually surf to the reference and add it?

• model not showing up in django admin.

  Hi. I have ceated several django apps and stuffs for my own fund and so far everything has been working fine. Now i just created new project (django 1.2.1) and have run into trouble from 1st moments. I created new app - game and new model Game. i created admin.py and put related stuff into it. Ran syncdb and went to check into admin. Model did not show up there.   With the code below i get a CA2104 (DoNotDeclareReadOnlyMutableReferenceTypes) warning public readonly ReadOnlyCollection<char> IllegalChars; with part of the error message change the field to one that is an immutable reference type. If the reference type 'ReadOnlyCollection' is, in fact, immutable, exclude this message. I am sure ReadOnlyCollection is immutable but my question is is there a type can i use to not have this message appear?

  We have some banner ads linking to an article in Joomla and they are passing a reference code in the URL, like this: index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=378&Itemid=249&ReferenceCode=WB6074 Inside the article, we're linking to a signup form on another web site and we need to pass the reference code in that URL's querystring. How do I do this? Is there a way to embed PHP in an article? If so, then I could just use $_GET["ReferenceCode"] to stick that parameter in the URL.

So I obtain a row with two columns with "null" value : CompanyID | CompanyName | SubTotal | Tax | TotalRevenue Null Null 145487 27642.53 173129.53 this success because all rows have been grouped with out taking care about the firsts columns and just Summing the valuable columns, so I need to change that null for default values as CompanyID = "100000000" and CompanyName = "Others".   I'm mapping a set of membership classes for my application using Fluent NHibernate. I'm mapping the classes to the asp.net membership database structure. The database schema relevant to the problem looks like this: ASPNET_USERS UserId PK ApplicationId FK NOT NULL other user columns ... ASPNET_MEMBERSHIP UserId PK,FK ApplicationID FK NOT NULL other membership columns... There is a one to one relationship between these two tables. I'm attempting to join the two tables together and map data from both tables to a single 'User' entity which looks like this: public class User { public virtual Guid Id { get; set; } public virtual Guid ApplicationId { get; set; } // other properties to be mapped from aspnetuser/membership tables ... My mapping file is as follows: public class UserMap : ClassMap<User> { public UserMap() { Table("aspnet_Users"); Id(user => user.Id).Column("UserId").GeneratedBy.GuidComb(); Map(user => user.ApplicationId); // other user mappings Join("aspnet_Membership", join => { join.KeyColumn("UserId"); join.Map(user => user.ApplicationId); // Map other things from membership to 'User' class } } } If I try to run with the code above I get a FluentConfiguration exception Tried to add property 'ApplicationId' when already added. If I remove the line "Map(user = user.ApplicationId);" or change it to "Map(user = user.ApplicationId).Not.Update().Not.Insert();" then the application runs but I get the following exception when trying to insert a new user: Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'ApplicationId', table 'ASPNETUsers_Dev.dbo.aspnet_Users'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails. The statement has been terminated. And if I leave the .Map(user = user.ApplicationId) as it originally was and make either of those changes to the join.Map(user = user.ApplicationId) then I get the same exception above except of course the exception is related to an insert into the aspnet_Membership table So... how do I do this kind of mapping assuming I can't change my database schema?

  Hi all, I'm trying to take an image that I have in a image object and render into a Core Graphics PDF context-- happens to be on an iPhone but this question surely applies equally to desktop Quartz. This UIImage is a simple color-on-white image at about 600x800 resolution. If I (say) turn it into a PNG file, that file looks exactly as expected-- so the data is OK.   I have a long - (void)viewDidLoad { } function that uses the internet to load a page, and whenever the application loads the URL, the screen is black. I have a UIActivityIndicator setup to show that the address is loading, but I don't know how to prevent it from seeming as if the application is not responding, and I don't want to show the network activity indicator [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setNetworkActivityIndicatorVisible:YES]; because the screen will still be black, just with a loader in the top corner. • How do I merge a transient entity with a session using Castle ActiveRecordMediator?

  I have a Store and a Product entity: public class Store { public Guid Id { get; set; } public int Version { get; set; } public ISet<Product> Products { get; set; } } public class Product { public Guid Id { get; set; } public int Version { get; set; } public Store ParentStore { get; set; } public string Name { get; set; } } In other words, I have a Store that can contain multiple Products in a bidirectional one-to-many relationship. I'm sending data back and forth between a web browser and a web service. The following steps emulates the communication between the two, using session-per-request. I first save a new instance of a Store: using (new SessionScope()) { // this is data from the browser var store = new Store { Id = Guid.Empty }; ActiveRecordMediator.SaveAndFlush(store); } Then I grab the store out of the DB, add a new product to it, and then save it: using (new SessionScope()) { // this is data from the browser var product = new Product { Id = Guid.Empty, Name = "Apples" }); var store = ActiveRecordLinq.AsQueryable<Store>().First(); store.Products.Add(product); ActiveRecordMediator.SaveAndFlush(store); } Up to this point, everything works well. Now I want to update the Product I just saved: using (new SessionScope()) { // data from browser var product = new Product { Id = Guid.Empty, Version = 1, Name = "Grapes" }; var store = ActiveRecordLinq.AsQueryable<Store>().First(); store.Products.Add(product); // throws exception on this call ActiveRecordMediator.SaveAndFlush(store); } When I try to update the product, I get the following exception: a different object with the same identifier value was already associated with the session: 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000, of entity:Product" As I understand it, the problem is that when I get the Store out of the database, it also gets the Product that's associated with it. Both entities are persistent. Then I tried to save a transient Product (the one that has the updated info from the browser) that has the same ID as the one that's already associated with the session, and an exception is thrown. However, I don't know how to get around this problem. If I could get access to a NHibernate.ISession, I could call ISession.Merge() on it, but it doesn't look like ActiveRecordMediator has anything similar (SaveCopy threw the same exception). Does anyone know the solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

• [MFC] I can't re-parent a window

  Following on from this question, now I have a clearer picture what's going on... I have a MFC application with no main window, which exposes an API to create dialogs. When I call some of these methods repeatedly, the dialogs created are parented to each other instead of all being parented to the desktop... I have no idea why. But anyway even after creation, I am unable to change the parent back to NULL or CWnd::GetDesktopWindow()... if I call SetParent followed by GetParent, nothing has changed. So apart from the really weird question of why Windows is magically parenting each dialog to the last one created, is there anything I'm missing to be able to set these windows as children of the desktop? UPDATED: I have found the reason for all this, but not the solution.
