  • Why use threading data race will occur, but will not use gevent

    - by onlytiancai
    My test code is as follows, using threading, count is not 5,000,000 , so there has been data race, but using gevent, count is 5,000,000, there was no data race . Is not gevent coroutine execution will atom "count + = 1", rather than split into a one CPU instruction to execute? # -*- coding: utf-8 -*- import threading use_gevent = True use_debug = False cycles_count = 100*10000 if use_gevent: from gevent import monkey monkey.patch_thread() count = 0 class Counter(threading.Thread): def __init__(self, name): self.thread_name = name super(Counter, self).__init__(name=name) def run(self): global count for i in xrange(cycles_count): if use_debug: print '%s:%s' % (self.thread_name, count) count = count + 1 counters = [Counter('thread:%s' % i) for i in range(5)] for counter in counters: counter.start() for counter in counters: counter.join() print 'count=%s' % count

  • handle an arrray posted with $.ajax (jquery) to a webservice

    - by burktelefon
    I'm trying to post data to a webservice (asp.net 3.5), like below (two variants, one commented): var array = [3, 2, 5, 1, 7]; var jsonString = JSON.stringify(array); //var jsonString = '{ "firstName": "John", "lastName": "Smith", "age": 25, "address": { "streetAddress": "21 2nd Street", "city": "New York", "state": "NY", "postalCode": "10021" }, "phoneNumber": [ { "type": "home", "number": "212 555-1234" }, { "type": "fax", "number": "646 555-4567" } ] }' $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "WebService2.asmx/AddRoute", data: jsonString, contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", processData: "false", error: function(msg) { alert('error' + msg.toString); } }); So I need a matching webmethod to recieve it. Something like this: [WebMethod] public string AddRoute(/* xxx */) { //handle data } Could someone please elaborate on how I can fetch the data, where I've typed "xxx"? I would have thought "int[] array" would do the trick, but it's not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

  • What weird encoding is movistar Venezuela sms on blackberry using?

    - by cjp
    Send an sms using the normal GSM TextMessage API on the BlackBerry, get back garbage. It's not unicode, phone is set to 7-bit send. Byte size is only off by one. Is there some default crypto thing, or some weird encoding they use? This code works most everywhere else in the world; this definitely seems like a movistar problem. The string that comes back is random 7-bit ascii except for a few high order bytes. Needless to say the source input text is totally 7 bit chars, which should work in sms, ISO-8859 and look the same in UTF charsets. Anybody seen this or got sms working in code on movistar VZ blackberries?

  • Is it possible to log the first line of the response in apache?

    - by Jeppe Mariager
    Hey, We have an Tomcat server where we're trying to log the HTTP version which the response is sent with. We've seen a few times that it seems to be HTTP/0.9, which kills the content (not supported I guess?). We would like to get some stats on this by using the access log in apache. However, since the header line for this isn't prefixed by anything, we cannot use the %{xxx}o logging. Is there a way to get this? An example: Response is: HTTP/1.1 503 This application is not currently available Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1 Content-Type: text/html;charset=utf-8 Content-Length: 1090 Date: Wed, 12 May 2010 12:53:16 GMT Connection: close And we'd like the catch HTTP/1.1 (alternatively, HTTP/1.1 503 This application is not currently available. Is this possible? We do not have access to the application being served, so we need to do this either as a Java filter, or in the tomcat access log - Preferably in the access log.

  • is @font-face server dependant

    - by samquo
    Not sure if this has something to do the live host I'm working with, but I'm using @font-face in the following format, @font-face { font-family: 'UbuntuTitle'; src: url('Ubuntu-Title-webfont.eot'); src: local('?'), url('Ubuntu-Title-webfont.woff') format('woff'), url('Ubuntu-Title-webfont.ttf') format('truetype'), url('Ubuntu-Title-webfont.svg') format('svg'); font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; } I'm finding though that I can't save the document because of the strange character in () in local local('?') so I save it as UTF-8, but that changes the character to this local('☺'). Could that be the reason why it's not being picked up on the server? Any other possibilities?

  • What is the precedence of characters when sorting in MySQL, PHP, or just in general?

    - by FireCoding
    Question: Where can I find the precedence of characters when sorting in MySQL, PHP, or just in general on Linux and Windows OS? For example, everybody knows that a comes before b when performing an ascending sort on a string in MySQL. But what about other characters? Does the dollar-sign $ come before asterisk * ? Does a space come before an exclamation-mark? etc... What dictates the sort order? Does it use underlying ascii / UTF-8 values? Is it different for different technologies? Technologies to consider: Databases - MySQL / SQL / SQLite / Oracle / etc Programming languages (for string-sorting functions) - PHP / Javascript / ASP.NET / Visual C# / Python / Ruby / Objective C OS (i.e., sorting files by filename) - Windows / Linux / MacOS / iOS / Android

  • PHP & RSS Feeds & Special Characters validation Problem.

    - by BUGY
    I keep getting the following validation warning below. And I was wondering that some of my articles deal with special characters and was wondering how should I go about rendering or not rendering special characters in my RSS feeds? Should I use htmlentites or not? If so how? In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations. line 22, column 35: title should not contain HTML: &amp; PHP code. <title>' . htmlentities(strip_tags($title), ENT_QUOTES, "UTF-8") . • XSLT ... I can'f find a (working) find minimum value in XML and set variable

    - by Bob
    I've search for hours and not found an example that allows for the very first position to be the lowest. I'm getting 'False' instead of the value returned .... EDIT: Oddly enough if I run a 2nd instance as MAX_Landed with ascending it returns a value just fine. If I switch the order in the XSLT the first instance will return 'False' and the 2nd will work. Hope I'm making sense ..... Example XML which I can't get formatted to show correctly and in a hurry so you get the gist I hope: <?xml version="1.0"?> <GetLowestOfferListingsForASINResponse xmlns="http://mws.amazonservices.com/schema/Products/2011-10-01"> <GetLowestOfferListingsForASINResult ASIN="0470067802" status="Success"> <AllOfferListingsConsidered>false</AllOfferListingsConsidered> <Product xmlns="http://mws.amazonservices.com/schema/Products/2011-10-01" xmlns:ns2="http://mws.amazonservices.com/schema/Products/2011-10-01/default.xsd"> <LowestOfferListings> <LowestOfferListing> <Qualifiers> <ItemCondition>Used</ItemCondition> <ItemSubcondition>Good</ItemSubcondition> </Qualifiers> <Price> <LandedPrice> <Amount>15.71</Amount> </LandedPrice> </Price> </LowestOfferListing> <LowestOfferListing> <Qualifiers> <ItemCondition>Used</ItemCondition> <ItemSubcondition>Good</ItemSubcondition> </Qualifiers> <Price> <LandedPrice> <Amount>16.71</Amount> </LandedPrice> </Price> </LowestOfferListing> <LowestOfferListing> <Qualifiers> <ItemCondition>Used</ItemCondition> <ItemSubcondition>Good</ItemSubcondition> </Qualifiers> <Price> <LandedPrice> <Amount>18.71</Amount> </LandedPrice> </Price> </LowestOfferListing> </LowestOfferListings> </Product> </GetLowestOfferListingsForASINResult> </GetLowestOfferListingsForASINResponse> Example XSLT : <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0" xmlns:amz="http://mws.amazonservices.com/schema/Products/2011-10-01" exclude-result-prefixes="amz"> <xsl:output method="xml" version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" indent="yes"/> <xsl:template match="/"> <xsl:variable name="MIN_Landed"> <xsl:for-each select="//Amount"> <xsl:sort data-type="number" order="ascending"/> <xsl:if test="position()=1"><xsl:value-of select="."/></xsl:if> </xsl:for-each> </xsl:variable> <FMPXMLRESULT xmlns="http://www.filemaker.com/fmpxmlresult"> <ERRORCODE>0</ERRORCODE> <PRODUCT BUILD="" NAME="" VERSION=""/> <DATABASE DATEFORMAT="M/d/yyyy" LAYOUT="" NAME="" RECORDS="1" TIMEFORMAT="h:mm:ss a"/> <METADATA> <FIELD EMPTYOK="YES" MAXREPEAT="1" NAME="DATA" TYPE="TEXT"/> <FIELD EMPTYOK="YES" MAXREPEAT="1" NAME="Min_Landed" TYPE="TEXT"/> </METADATA> <RESULTSET> <xsl:attribute name="FOUND">1</xsl:attribute> <xsl:for-each select="amz:GetLowestOfferListingsForASINResponse/amz:GetLowestOfferListingsForASINResult/amz:Product/amz:LowestOfferListings/amz:LowestOfferListing"> <ROW> <xsl:attribute name="MODID">0</xsl:attribute> <xsl:attribute name="RECORDID">1</xsl:attribute> <COL> <DATA> <xsl:value-of select="amz:Qualifiers/amz:ItemCondition"/> </DATA> </COL> <COL> <DATA> <xsl:value-of select="$MIN_Landed"/> </DATA> </COL> </ROW> </xsl:for-each> </RESULTSET> </FMPXMLRESULT> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> HELP PLEASE!   • Rails gives wrong headers after upgrade 2.3.5 -> 2.3.8

    - by macsniper
    I just upgraded from rails 2.3.5 to rails 2.3.8, but now my redirects are not working properly. I get the following as the response HTTP Headers: HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily Date: Wed, 02 Jun 2010 09:40:39 GMT Content-Length: 93 Content-Type: text/html whereas I got previous: HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily Connection: close Date: Wed, 02 Jun 2010 09:41:18 GMT Set-Cookie: _session_id=<correct id>; path=/ Status: 302 Found Location: <correct url> Cache-Control: no-cache Server: Mongrel 1.1.5 Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-Length: 93 Anyone knows how to fix this? Despite the fact that the redirect is not working, the login-cookie is not set too (but I think, this is both related somehow). I have already tried to override redirect_to in order to set response.headers['Location'] etc., but they did not appear in the response.

  • how to load local html file into uiwebview iphone

    - by madcoderz
    I'm trying to load a html file into my UIWebView but it won't work. Here's the stage: I have a folder called html_files in my project. Then I created a webView in interface builder and assigned an outlet to it in the viewController. This is the code I'm using to append the html file: -(void)viewDidLoad { NSString *htmlFile = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"sample" ofType:@"html" inDirectory:@"html_files"]; NSData *htmlData = [NSData dataWithContentsOfFile:htmlFile]; [webView loadData:htmlData MIMEType:@"text/html" textEncodingName:@"UTF-8" baseURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@""]]; [super viewDidLoad]; } That won't work and the UIWebView is blank. I'd appreciate some help.

  • URL decoding Japanese characters etc. in Java

    - by DanieL
    I have a servlet that receives some POST data. Because this data is x-www-form-urlencoded, a string such as ???? would be encoded to &#12469;&#12508;&#12486;&#12531;. How would I unencode this string back to the correct characters? I have tried using URLDecoder.decode("encoded string", "UTF-8"); but it doesn't make a difference. The reason I would like to unencode them, is because, before I display this data on a webpage, I escape & to &amp; and at the moment, it is escaping the &s in the encoded string so the characters are not showing up properly.

  • Jquery mobile function calls before Ajax Request end

    - by rpmlins
    Here is my problem. When My Home page shows, I call the LoadUser functions, which on success, sets the globalUser variable with the returned json, and after it loads I call the alert function but it says globalUser is undefined. I have tried many other work arounds, but I always get the undefined mesage. If I call the alert(globalUser); on the success function, it works as expected alerting the object. $('#Home').live('pageshow', function(event) { $.when(LoadUser()).done(function(a1) { alert(globalUser); }); }); function LoadUser() { $.ajax({ // connects with the web service and validate de user input url: "http://localhost:51396/Icademy.asmx/GetUser", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", data: { "userName": "'rodrigo'" }, dataType: "jsonp", success: function(json) { globalUser = JSON.parse(json.d); return globalUser; }, error: function(ret) { alert("Um erro ocorreu, tente novamente mais tarde."); } }); }

    Hi guys, I've been trying today all day to figure this out and I have no idea. What I want: Get the title and meta description of any kind of website. Save this info to utf table in mysql. What the problem is? Different sites have different charsets which results in that some have chinese, some contain umlauts (german), then we have russian and so on.. I've tried preg_match which works for some while not for others, i've tried DOMdocument which is the same as preg_match. Is there any class available that will do this? Hope someone can help, thanks.

How can I do that?
