  • Selecting an element based on text and attribute of its sibling, using Xpath

    - by Adam Asham
    Looking at the document, the goal is to select the second cell from the second row, in the first table. I've created the following expression: //row/td[2]/text()[td[@class="identifier"]/span[text()="identifier"]] but it does not return any rows. Unfortunately I do not see what's wrong. To me, it looks alright. The expression should: select the text in the second cell in any row where the text of a span equals to "identifier" and the span is located in cell with a "identifier" class I'd appreciate it if you could point out what I'm doing wrong. Sample XML document: <?xml version="1.0"?> <html> <table class="first"> <tr> <td>row 1, cell 1</td> <td>row 1, cell 2</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="identifier"> <span>identifier</span> </td> <td> foo <span>ignore</span> bar </td> </tr> <tr> <td>row 3, cell 1</td> <td>row 3, cell 2</td> </tr> </table> <table class="second"> <tr> <td>row 1, cell 1</td> <td>row 1, cell 2</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="identifier"> <span>not an identifier</span> </td> <td> not a target </td> </tr> <tr> <td>row 3, cell 1</td> <td>row 3, cell 2</td> </tr> </table> </html>

  • Adobe Reader unable to open downloaded file in IE6

    - by chillysapien
    I'm working on a web app that allows users to downloaded dynamically generated PDF files. This works fine in IE8 and Firefox but fails in IE6 with Adobe Reader giving the message "there was an error opening this document. this file cannot be found" If I save the file to disk first then it opens fine in Reader. I've given the file a simple short filename, without spaces so not sure what else to try. Any suggestions are very welcome.

  • stored as array understanding mongoid

    - by Gagan
    Hello frens, This is not a problem, but I just want to know stored as array of Mongoid better. I have following code in my model. class Company include Mongoid::Document include Mongoid::Timestamps references_many :people, :stored_as => :array, :inverse_of => :companies end class Person include Mongoid::Document include Sunspot::Mongoid references_many :companies, :stored_as => :array, :inverse_of => :people end Now in Company object we get person_ids as a result of stored_as array and company_ids in Person object. Now initially I inserted lots of person in company and the ids in person_ids fields is huge. Now I deleted most of person from company down to 8 people. Now I don't get why person_ids fields of Company object storing all the deleted ids of person. My console snapshot is follwing ruby-1.9.2-head Company.first.person_ids = [BSON::ObjectId('4d12d2907adf350695000025'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d2907adf35069500002c'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d2907adf350695000035'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d2907adf35069500003f'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d2907adf350695000048'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d2907adf350695000052'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d2907adf350695000059'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d2907adf350695000062'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d4017adf35069500008d'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d4017adf350695000094'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d4017adf35069500009d'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d4017adf3506950000a7'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d4017adf3506950000b0'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d4017adf3506950000ba'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d4017adf3506950000c1'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d4017adf3506950000ca'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d48a7adf3506950000f5'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d48a7adf3506950000fc'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d48a7adf350695000108'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d48b7adf350695000115'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d48b7adf350695000121'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d48b7adf35069500012e'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d48b7adf350695000135'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d48b7adf350695000141'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d53e7adf35069500016f'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d53e7adf350695000176'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d53e7adf350695000182'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d53e7adf35069500018f'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d53e7adf35069500019b'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d53f7adf3506950001a8'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d53f7adf3506950001af'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d53f7adf3506950001bb'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d8587adf3506950001e9'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d8587adf3506950001f0'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d8587adf3506950001ff'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d8597adf35069500020f'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d8597adf35069500021e'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d8597adf35069500022e'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d8597adf350695000235'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d85a7adf350695000244'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12d9587adf35069500025b'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12db8b7adf35069500026a'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12de6f7adf3509c9000024'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12de6f7adf3509c900002b'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12de6f7adf3509c900003a'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12de707adf3509c900004a'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12de707adf3509c9000059'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12de707adf3509c9000069'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12de707adf3509c9000070'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12de717adf3509c900007f'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12e7f27adf350bd2000009'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12e81f7adf350bd2000015'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12e87f7adf350bd2000024'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12e8b87adf350bd200004c'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12e8b97adf350bd2000053'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12e8b97adf350bd200005c'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12e8b97adf350bd2000066'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12e8b97adf350bd200006f'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12e8b97adf350bd2000079'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12e8ba7adf350bd2000080'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12e8ba7adf350bd2000089'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12ee6b7adf350bd2000198'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12ee6b7adf350bd200019f'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12ee6c7adf350bd20001a5'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12ee6c7adf350bd20001ac'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12ee6c7adf350bd20001b2'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12ee6c7adf350bd20001b9'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12ee6c7adf350bd20001c0'), BSON::ObjectId('4d12ee6c7adf350bd20001c6'), BSON::ObjectId('4d141ca57adf35033e00006e'), BSON::ObjectId('4d141ca57adf35033e000075'), BSON::ObjectId('4d1420aa7adf350705000003'), BSON::ObjectId('4d1420aa7adf35070500000a'), BSON::ObjectId('4d1420f47adf350705000011'), BSON::ObjectId('4d1420f57adf350705000015'), BSON::ObjectId('4d1420f57adf350705000018'), BSON::ObjectId('4d1420f57adf35070500001c'), BSON::ObjectId('4d1420f57adf350705000023'), BSON::ObjectId('4d1420f57adf350705000026'), BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf35070500004b'), BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf350705000052'), BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf350705000055'), BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf350705000059'), BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf35070500005c'), BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf350705000060'), BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf350705000067'), BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf35070500006a')] Company.first.people.collect(&:id) = [BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf35070500004b'), BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf350705000052'), BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf350705000055'), BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf350705000059'), BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf35070500005c'), BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf350705000060'), BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf350705000067'), BSON::ObjectId('4d14215f7adf35070500006a')] Isn't the Company.first.person_ids array be only storing the ids shown by Company.first.people.collect(&:id) It would be helpful if some one tell me when to best use stored_as = :array method. Do stored_as = :array increase querying performance? Thanks

  • jQuery live keydown doesn't register until second keydown

    - by Simon
    Hi there, I'm trying to add a class (.active) to a text field once the user starts typing. I got it to work somewhat with the following code, but for some reason the .active class is not applied immediately when the user starts typing, it's only applied after a second letter has been typed. Any ideas? $(document).ready(function() { loginField = $('.field'); loginField.live('keydown', function(){ if ($(this).val()){ $(this).addClass('active'); } }); });

  • Testing site performance with multiple browsers and versions

    - by jasongullickson
    We're trying to document the performance difference of our site using different browsers. We use LoadRunner for load testing but I don't see a way to specify the "browser engine" it uses to run it's tests (perhaps it's using it's own?). In any event I'm not sure that LoadRunner is the right tool for this job but we own it so if we can use it, great. If not, is there another tool out there that I can use to record a script and run it automatically against a site using several different browsers?

  • Android: DOM-Model to XML

    - by poeschlorn
    Hey Guys, analogue to this one (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2788345/replacing-xml-in-file-from-document-in-java or http://www.exampledepot.com/egs/javax.xml.transform/WriteDom.html) I try to use it under Android... The problem is, that I can't use the suggested solution under android, because it throws java.lang.verifyError... After reading a little bit, I found out, that the class that was used to store the data to file, is not usable in android... can you suggest another solution, which is similar easy to use?

  • Changing the action of a form with javascript/jquery

    - by Micah
    I'm having an issue that is driving me crazy. I'm trying to modify the openid-selector to support facebook. I'm using RPXNow as my provider so it requires the form to be submitted to a different url than the standard. For example. RpxNow requires me to setup my form like this: <form action="https://wikipediamaze.rpxnow.com/openid/start?token_url=..."> This works for every provider except for facebook and myspace. Those require the form to be posted to a different url like this: <form action="https://wikipediamaze.rpxnow.com/facebook/start?token_url=..."> and <form action="https://wikipediamaze.rpxnow.com/myspace/start?token_url=..."> The open id selector has a bunch of buttons on the form each representing the openid providers. What I'm trying to do is detect when the facebook or myspace button is clicked and changed the action on the form before submitting. However it's not working. Here is my code. I've tried several variations all with the same "not supported" exception $("#openid_form").attr("action", form_url) document.forms[0].action = form_url Any suggestions? Update Here are more details on the code. I've ommitted some for brevity. The only thing i've done is added the facebook section to the "providers_large" object (which successfully adds the logo to the website), and instead of supply a url identifying the user, I'm creating a property called "form_url" which is what I want to set the action of my form to. If you look at the section title "Provider image click" you'll see where I'm checking for the presence of the property "form_url" and using jquery to change the action and submit the form. However when I step through the javascript in debug mode it tells me it's an ivalid operation. var providers_large = { google: { name: 'Google', url: 'https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/id' }, facebook: { name: 'Facebook', form_url: 'http://wikipediamaze.rpxnow.com/facebook/start?token_url=http://www.wikipediamaze.com/Accounts/Logon' }, }; var providers_small = { myopenid: { name: 'MyOpenID', label: 'Enter your MyOpenID username.', url: 'http://{username}.myopenid.com/' }, livejournal: { name: 'LiveJournal', label: 'Enter your Livejournal username.', url: 'http://{username}.livejournal.com/' }, flickr: { name: 'Flickr', label: 'Enter your Flickr username.', url: 'http://flickr.com/{username}/' }, technorati: { name: 'Technorati', label: 'Enter your Technorati username.', url: 'http://technorati.com/people/technorati/{username}/' }, wordpress: { name: 'Wordpress', label: 'Enter your Wordpress.com username.', url: 'http://{username}.wordpress.com/' }, blogger: { name: 'Blogger', label: 'Your Blogger account', url: 'http://{username}.blogspot.com/' }, verisign: { name: 'Verisign', label: 'Your Verisign username', url: 'http://{username}.pip.verisignlabs.com/' }, vidoop: { name: 'Vidoop', label: 'Your Vidoop username', url: 'http://{username}.myvidoop.com/' }, verisign: { name: 'Verisign', label: 'Your Verisign username', url: 'http://{username}.pip.verisignlabs.com/' }, claimid: { name: 'ClaimID', label: 'Your ClaimID username', url: 'http://claimid.com/{username}' } }; var providers = $.extend({}, providers_large, providers_small); var openid = { cookie_expires: 6*30, // 6 months. cookie_name: 'openid_provider', cookie_path: '/', img_path: 'images/', input_id: null, provider_url: null, init: function(input_id) { var openid_btns = $('#openid_btns'); this.input_id = input_id; $('#openid_choice').show(); $('#openid_input_area').empty(); // add box for each provider for (id in providers_large) { openid_btns.append(this.getBoxHTML(providers_large[id], 'large', '.gif')); } if (providers_small) { openid_btns.append('<br/>'); for (id in providers_small) { openid_btns.append(this.getBoxHTML(providers_small[id], 'small', '.ico')); } } $('#openid_form').submit(this.submit); var box_id = this.readCookie(); if (box_id) { this.signin(box_id, true); } }, getBoxHTML: function(provider, box_size, image_ext) { var box_id = provider["name"].toLowerCase(); return '<a title="'+provider["name"]+'" href="javascript: openid.signin(\''+ box_id +'\');"' + ' style="background: #FFF url(' + this.img_path + box_id + image_ext+') no-repeat center center" ' + 'class="' + box_id + ' openid_' + box_size + '_btn"></a>'; }, /* Provider image click */ signin: function(box_id, onload) { var provider = providers[box_id]; if (! provider) { return; } this.highlight(box_id); this.setCookie(box_id); // prompt user for input? • Calling a function in an iframe from a parent in firefox

    - by wyatt
    I'm trying to call a function, test(), of an iframe from the parent document using the code subframe.test(); subframe refers correctly to the iframe, alert(subframe) returns [object HTMLIFrameElement], and the function runs in both IE7 and opera (9.23), but not firefox (3.0), chrome (3.0) or safari (3.03 beta windows). I assume these browsers support the functionality, so wondering if perhaps I'm using an incorrect call which IE and Opera support anyway, which wouldn't surprise me.
