If I just put in XUL file
<label value="°C"/>
it works fine. However, I need to assing ° value to that label element and it doesn't show degree symbol, instead literal value.
Hello,
I have a div element in HTML document.
I would like to extract all elements inside this div that starts with a known text (e.g. "q17_").
How can I achieve this using JavaScript ?
(If needed, for simplicity, I can assume that all elements inside the div are of type input or select.)
Thanks !
Hi
I have a comma separated string. I split that string and assigned it to elements var.
How can I loop that elements var?
$(document).ready(function(){
var element = $('#imageIds').val().split(",");
// how to loop this elements using jquery
});
sub DirectoryExists {
my $param = shift;
# Remove first element of the array
shift @{$param};
# Loop through each directory to see if it exists
foreach my $directory (@{$param}) {
unless (-e $directory && -d $directory) {
return 0;
}
}
# True
return 1;
}
is there any way to optimize this code ?
is there any good way to optimize this code
I have the following dilemma: I have a list of strings, and I want to find the set of string which start with a certain prefix. The list is sorted, so the naive solution is this:
Perform binary search on the prefixes of the set, and when you find an element that starts with the prefix, traverse up linearly until you hit the top of the subset.
This runs in linear time, however, and I was wondering if anyone can suggest a more efficient way to do it.
I recently read that using flexible array members in C was poor software engineering practice. However, that statement was not backed by any argument. Is this an accepted fact?
(Flexible array members are a C feature introduced in C99 whereby one can declare the last element to be an array of unspecified size. For example: )
struct header {
size_t len;
unsigned char data[];
};
Hi I'd like to inquire on how i can load a WPF Xaml into code so that I can change the values of the attributes of some XAML elements and output it by creating another XAML files. This is so that I can output the same file with values dynamically input by the user.
the XamlReader.Load() method cannot be used; it will throw an exception (because they are unable to recognise Window as the root element). I'm using VS2013 and C#.
hi,
I'm using "opacity:0.4" property on a div element in my page.
I've just realised now that it doesn't work in IE at all... the color of the background is completely opaque.
thanks
Hi All,
I want my submit button to be positioned somewhere that outside my form element? Do I have any options? With the exception of jquery.
Thanks,

I know this should be really simple, but im having trouble getting this to work right, basically i want to have an image upload box that uploads an image and then puts the new url into a mysql database. Anyone have any advice on how to do this, as i may be having developer block but im over complicating it in my head :P Thanks
I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing wrong, and I can't figure out how to Google it because a common mistake is very prevalent. I have the parent's height explicitly set, but I can't get #main-sub-content 's height to 100%.
Here's the page:
http://coloryourspot.vadremix.com/
And the corresponding CSS:
http://coloryourspot.vadremix.com/styles/primary/main.css
Can anyone spot the issue?
Solved: The problem was the parent element had height:auto!important;
http://plugins.jquery.com/project/semantictabs
What is the means of this
Status - Recommended for 1.0.x
I'm using this plugin code as it is http://plugins.jquery.com/files/jquery.semantictabs.js_4.txt
then this ( I'm also using prototype.js onsite)
jQuery.noConflict();
jQuery(document).ready(function(){
$("#mytabset").semantictabs({
panel:'.mypanelclass', //-- Selector of individual panel body
head:'headelement', //-- Selector of element containing panel header, i.e. h3
active:':first' //-- Which panel to activate by default
});
});
Quick and simple question.
There are examples online about achieving in-memory gzip compression with zlib (C++) WITHOUT external libraries (like boost or such)?
I just need to compress and decompress a block of data without much options. (it must be gzip as its the same format used by another mine C# program (the data is to be shared))
Tried to search to no avail...
Thanks!
I see examples where JavaScript code including jQuery and jslint use the notation below:
(function(){
// do something
})();
instead of:
// do something
I first thought this is just for local scoping, i.e. creating local variables for the code block without polluting global namespace. But I've seen instances without any local variables at all too.
What am I missing here?
Code:
<label for="email">{t _your_email}:</label>
CSS:
label
{
display: block;
width: 156px;
cursor: pointer;
padding-right: 6px;
padding-bottom: 1px;
}
I want to make a new CSS for the email label as it's not meant to be that wide.. Just can't think right now :P
Thanks.
I'm trying to make a page scroll down 150px from the current position when an element is clicked. So lets say you're roughly halfway scrolled down a page. You click this link, and it will slide you down an additional 150 pixels.
Is this possible with jQuery?
I've been looking at scrollTop and the scrollTo plugin, but I can't seem to connect the dots.
Is it possible to control the placement of a generated control in asp .net 2.0 (c#)?
So for example in my page_load I create a new Panel() and then do Form.Controls.Add(pnl). However I'm finding it renders right at the end of the form.
I would like it rendering as the first element in the form.
i need to make a drag and drop list for re-ordering which is longer than the screen height.
in order to make this usable, the window needs to scroll while the element selected and the mouse is near the boundaries of the screen.
what is the best way to achieve this?
thanks :)
Why doesn't the compiler automatically put break statements after each code block in the switch? Is it for historical reasons? When would you want multiple code blocks to execute?
Hey.
I have a large amount of log data that I need to get some relevant information out of.
The syntax is:
WORD1 some text KEYWORD some text WORD2 WORD1 some text KEYWORD some text WORD2 WORD1 some text KEYWORD some text WORD2 WORD1 some text KEYWORD some text WORD2
Would it be possible to use regex to get a certain block out of it - so that when I queried some keyword it would return WORD1 some text THIS_KEYWORD some text WORD2
PS: There could be multiple instances of one keyword, it should return all of the blocks (preg_match_all, PREG_SET_ORDER?).
I tried to program a little Application
in C++, but i just keep getting Compile Error like this
(GGC)
initializer element is not a constant
Here's the Code:

How can I use ASP.NET inline tags from within a block of JavaScript? For example:
<script type="text/javascript">
// Do some AJAX here, then redirect to a new page on the next line.
window.location = "/Movie/" + <%= html.encode(MovieName) %>;
</script>
Ok I am coming into a stumbling block no matter what language I am using. I am trying to understand when I need to pass arguments in a Function and when I don't need to pass arguments in a function. Can someone give me some direction on where to find guidance on this?
Hey everybody. Given an array of n integers, i need to find the product of each of the (n-1) subsets i.e:
ith subset = the product of all the elements except the ith element itself. e.g:
S = {1,0,3,2};
subset_product(1) = 0*3*2=0;
subset_product(2) = 1*3*2=6; etc.
So Any help?
Hi!
I want to add some style to head tag in html page using javascript.
var h = document.getElementsByTagName('head').item(0);
h.innerHTML += '<style>a{font-size:100px;}</style>';
But when I run this code in IE8 I see this error message:
Could not set the innerHTML property. Invalid target element for this operation.
Any ideas?
