  • Auto-response on a mail non universal group

    - by russ
Four domain users are part of global security group [email protected] running on Windows Server 2008 Standard and Exchange 2007 as a mail non universal group. Our goal is to create an auto-responder rule, or template that fires at sender. I have created a mail-enabled public folder, with owner permissions for each group member. I have also set up a rule template (response) and I am a little unclear as to the send as permission set, or where to set that up. Can someone please tell me if I am on the right track? Will I have to do each Outlook client machine (whole group!) the same?

  • Zend_Registry: real life examples

    - by takeshin
Do you find Zend_Registry useful? For which tasks it should be used? For which not? Global state for variables is not a good practice. Main objects may have global state injected via $front->setParam('paramName', $object), so what's the purpose of Zend_Registry?.

  • How do I declare a constructor for an 'object' class type in Scala? I.e., a one time operation for the singleton.

    - by Zack
I know that objects are treated pretty much like singletons in scala. However, I have been unable to find an elegant way to specify default behavior on initial instantiation. I can accomplish this by just putting code into the body of the object declaration but this seems overly hacky. Using an apply doesn't really work because it can be called multiple times and doesn't really make sense for this use case. Any ideas on how to do this?

  • Unity 2.0 and policy injection in .config

    - by marcusoft.net
I want to use unity (2.0) to resolve my dependencies in a way so that i can configure policy injection (policies, matching rules and call handlers) in the .config file. Or an other way to put it; i want my resolved objects to be "policy enabled", so that i can add and change to policies in config without have to recompile. Any ideas on how to do that?

  • Dynamically resizing CFWINDOW to fit content

    - by Ryan French
Hi all, Am currently working on a site that uses a lot of cfwindow objects and I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to dynamically resize the window so that all the content fits in without the need for scroll bars. I have tried using the overflow=visible configuration but it doesnt seem to make a difference. Thanks in advance for any advice.

  • Refactoring nested foreach statement

    - by dotnetdev
Hi, I have a method with a nested foreach collection (iterate a set of objects and then look inside each object). I saw in a book a good pattern to make this much more elegant but cannot remember/find the code example. How else could I make this more tidy? The code is just a typical nested foreach statement so I have not provided a code sample. Thanks

  • Is this the best approach using generics to check for nulls

    - by user294747
public static T IsNull<T>(object value, T defaultValue) { turn ((Object.Equals(value, null)) | (Object.Equals(value,DBNull.Value)) ? defaultValue : (T)value); } public static T IsNull<T>(object value) where T :new() { T defaultvalue = new T(); return IsNull(value, defaultvalue); } Have tested, and can use against data objects, classes and variables. Just want to know if there is better way to go about this.

  • Retrieving Data in A NSTableView

    - by Heisennberg
I have a three column Table View populated by two NSMutableDictionaries which share the same keys (ie key | value1 | value2 ) with dict1(key,value1) and dict2(key,value2). I want to manually enter data in the third column and create the key/value objects in dict2. But when I do that, my code picks the wrong key :S Here's the code for the delegate : - (void)tableView:(NSTableView *)aTableView setObjectValue:(id)anObject forTableColumn:(NSTableColumn *)aTableColumn row:(NSInteger)rowIndex { if ([[aTableColumn identifier] isEqualToString:@"value2"]) { [dict2 setValue:anObject forKey:[[[aTableView tableColumnWithIdentifier:@"key"] dataCellForRow:rowIndex] stringValue ]]; } } Any idea ?

  • creating proxy object in groovy

    - by IttayD
Hi, I am looking for how to write a method that accepts some value and returns a proxy to that value where the underlying value can be retrieved with an accessor: def p = toProxy(1) assert p == 1 assert p * 2 == 2 assert p.underlying == 1 def p2 = toProxy(objWithMethodFoo) p2.foo() p2.underlying.foo() I want to do this per object instance (not for all objects of some class) and without the need to use special 'use' constructs.

  • WPF control not being updated when source is changed

    - by Dave Colwell
Hi, I have a ListBox which is bound to a list of objects. When the system initializes, the binding is done just fine, When i update the value in one of the fields on the ListBox, the item in the background updates as well, but when i update the value in the background it is not reflected in the ListBox. Does anyone know why this is?

  • client side spring

    - by Gholi
I wanna sth like Spring framework to use in client side. Actually I am going to abstract ui from data sources that may be added to system while it is up. An XML will be injected to system and ui will be generated automatically. Client side use would be able to search on new data source while objects are created in client side. Thanks

  • Actual use of finally block

    - by Jibu P C_Adoor
I asked to my friend about this question, he said that it is used for destroying the object created during the exception handling. But in c# GC is there for destroying such kinds of unused objects, then what is the actual use of finally block. Tell me with a scenario related to that.

  • python: list manipulation

    - by Jason S
I have a list L of objects (for what it's worth this is in scons). I would like to create two lists L1 and L2 where L1 is L with an item I1 appended, and L2 is L with an item I2 appended. I would use append but that modifies the original list. How can I do this in Python? (sorry for the beginner question, I don't use the language much, just for scons)

  • How to span multile tables in Django

    - by ipartola
The Django documentation gives en example like so: b = Blog.objects.get(id=1) b.entry_set.all() Which from what I understand results in 2 queries. What if I wanted to get the blog, the blog entries and all the comments associated with that entry in a number of queries that does not depend on the number of entries? Or do I have to drop down to SQL to do that?

  • Any Javascript optimization benchmarks?

    - by int3
I watched Nicholas Zakas' talk, Speed up your Javascript, with some interest. I liked how he benchmarked the various performance improvements created by various optimization techniques, e.g. reducing calls to deeply nested objects, changing loops to count down instead of up, etc. I would like to run these benchmarks myself though, to see exactly how our current browsers are faring. I guess it wouldn't be too difficult to cook up some timed loops, but I'd like to know if there are any existing implementations out there.

  • Is there a Linux mail server with an outgoing pickup directory?

    - by Paul D'Ambra
On my Exchange server I can drop appropriately formatted text files in the "pickup" directory and Exchange will process them. I'd like to split this bulk mailing functionality onto another box to protect our business mail IP from the bumpy ride that our monthly newsletter gives us. I should note at this point that the mailing is opt-in with an opt out link included and only goes to people who pay to be a member of our organisation The ideal solution for me would be to add a linux box to use just for this purpose so we're not paying for Exchange licenses. So is there a linux equivalent of the Exchange pickup directory?

  • Tools for Debugging ThreadPool Issues in Visual Studio 2010.

    - by ProfK
I have never spent much time debugging multithreaded .NET apps (or others), and have quite a simple one to solve very quickly. Ideally I would imagined and would lurve to be able to intercept thread creation and use by worker objects, so that nothing unexpected happens while I'm on a breakpoint in my thread. Is that realistic? What else is there in VS 2010?
