  Hello! I've moved my vc7.1 project from WInXP to Win7. After rebuilding i got stackoverflow error in function _malloc_dbg when i start the program. "Unhandled exception at 0x0051bf0f in XXX.exe: 0xC00000FD: Stack overflow." • Problem saving Text file in database using Hibernate

  I'm having a problem saving large text files to MySQL database. If the text file size is around 5KB it successfully saves. If file is 148KB then I get this error from Hibernate: org.hibernate.exception.DataException: Could not execute JDBC batch update These is the SQL shows by Hibernate: Hibernate: insert into file_table (ID,FILE) values (?, ?) And in my hibernate file I'm using java.sql.Blob to store the file. Anyone knows why it fails to save a file size of 148KB but if I open that same file, cut it down to around 5KB, it will successfully save it? I thought the default limit was I think 2GB? This is weird. Thanks.

  In Hibernate HQL, how would you query through a many-to-many association. If I have a Company with multiple ProductLines and other companies can offer these same product lines, I have a Company entity, a ProductLine entity and an association table CompanyProductLine. In SQL, I can get what I need like this: select * from company c where c.companyId in (select companyId from companyProductLine cpl, productline pl where cpl.productLineId = pl.productLineId and pl.name= 'some value'); My problem sees to lie with the association I defined in the Company.hbm.xml file: <set name="productLines" cascade="save-update" table="CompanyProductLine"> <key column="companyId"/> <many-to-many class="com.foo.ProductLine" column="productLineId" /> </set> Any HQL I seem to come up with will throw a: 'expecting 'elements' or 'indices"' Hibernate exception. • Couchbase (ex. membase) solution to dump all keys in a bucket

  I was googling around and found various python + tap solutions that should enable me to dump all keys from a bucket but none of them worked for me. I have a bucket at port 11230 and I need to get a dump of all keys in order to fill them into sphinx search engine. If I execute: # python /opt/couchbase/lib/python/tap_example.py 127.0.0.1:11230 I get the following output: info: New bin connection from None error: uncaptured python exception, closing channel <tap.TapConnection connected at 0x7f5d287184d0> (<type 'exceptions.AssertionError'>: [/usr/lib/python2.6/asyncore.py|read|78] [/usr/lib/python2.6/asyncore.py|handle_read_event|428] [/opt/couchbase/lib/python/mc_bin_server.py|handle_read|325]) this error is the same even if I try some other host or port. I also tried many other python scripts that I found on forums and groups but all of them produced the same error. My primary development environment includes PHP & Perl on Debian linux box but I will take any solution that would just dump all the keys into plain text file. Thank you for any help!

• Suddenly Facebook API stopped working on Windows Phone

  My code hasn't changed, it was working yesterday or so. I can oauth, get the token but then doing the following: WebClient wc = new WebClient(); wc.DownloadStringCompleted += result; wc.DownloadStringAsync(new Uri("https://graph.facebook.com/me&access_token=xxxTOKENxxx", UriKind.Absolute)); Returns a NotFound WebClient exception: "The remote server returned an error: NotFound." Strange thing is that when pasting that same url on Chrome or IE it does work(PC). Tried on Emulator and on 2 different real WP devices, even pasting the same url on the WP browser. Feels like facebook is rejecting Windows Phone for some reason? Anyone has an idea of what might be happening?

  What's up with this, anyway? I do a simple multiplication: Int64 x = 11111111111; Int64 y = 11111111111; Int64 z = x * y; And at the end of the multiplication, z shows a value of: -5670418394979206991 This has clearly overflowed, but no exception is raised. I'd like one to be raised, but... Note that this is on Windows Phone 7, but I don't think this has any bearing on the issue. Or does it?

• Showing ImageView next to TextView in a ListView

  So I have a listview that is displaying correctly. When the item is "turned on" the text is white and when it's turned off it's grey. That part all functions great. However when I add the ImageView into the mix I get a null pointer exception. I don't understand why. I've tried using bitmaps as well and get the same problem. • Error whenever a java applet is loaded

  Hi. For the past few months or so, I've been getting an error whenever I attempt to use a java applet. I'm getting this error on every browser I use, and I get the error occasionally in linux, too. The java applet loads for roughly 5 seconds or so, then it stops and I get two error messages, stating that an exception occurred (java.io.EOFException). This seems to happen regardless of what website I'm using. Going to the website shows I'm running java 6 update 20, and I get no error. Googling the error turns up nothing useful - I'm not a java developer, so most of the results don't apply to me at all. My question is this. What's causing this error, and what can I do to fix whatever issue is causing it?

• Does Java Mac OSX native look and feel respect UIManager font changes?

  I have a java applet and the only look and feel that works properly is the native mac one. I wanted to make the fonts a bit larger and tried using the standard UIManager methods UIManager.put("Label.font", new Font("Georgia", Font.PLAIN, 18)); This produces no change. It does not throw an exception, of course. Does anyone know if the native mac look and feel ignores these? I know there are specific ways to make controls different sizes on mac but these only seem to make them smaller. You cannot make the controls larger than regular.

  I have a custom view that works fine and I'm trying to get gestures into it. The most common technique I see is to add XML, such as this (from Android docs: My view is within a RelativeView and when I attempt to reference this GetureOverlayView, I get an exception. I've also tried to connect within my existing custom view class, like this: mGestures = new GestureOverlayView(context, attrs); mGestures.addOnGesturePerformedListener(this); But the callback is never invoked. Can someone see my errors or suggest a better way that will allow me to get gesture callbacks?

  I'm accessing a MySql database via ODBC. It normally works fine, but if the database is stopped and restarted I have to restart my application in order to reconnect to the database. Is there any way I can reconnect to the database when I detect that the connection has broken? I use VS2008 and MySql 5.1.30.

• Keeping messages in queue in case of receiver crash

  Hi, We've a Spring JMS message listener container for receiving messages asynchronously. Using DefaultMessageListenerContainer and in sessionTransacted mode. I understand being in sessionTransacted mode means in case of an exception the message will be put back into the queue. But how can I make sure the message won't be deleted from the queue even if the receiver (which is picked the message) crashes or just the machine running it looses power? At first I thought CLIENT_ACKNOWLEDGE acknowledge mode should save me, but apparently it's not the case, Spring calls .acknowledge() no matter what. So here's my question, how can I guarantee the delivery? Using a custom MessageListenerContainer? Using a transaction manager?

  I'm using Clojure, but I can read Java, so this isn't a Clojure specific question. This doesn't even seem to be working from Java. I'm trying to implement a bit of a 'ping' function using isReachable.   I have this function that gets the fileData as a byte array and a file path. The error I am getting is when it tries to set the fileInfo in the code bewlo. Also, what it is triggering this to happen is the following call properties.ResizeImage(imageName, Configurations.ConfigSettings.MaxImageSize, Server.MapPath(Configurations.EnvironmentConfig.LargeImagePath));

  I am getting this error when I use the Linq expression of var emp = _testModel.Where(m => m.Date == DateTime.Now).Select(m=>m); 'System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable' does not contain a definition for 'System' and no extension method 'System' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?). I have google'd and looked everywhere by I have no idea what it is talking about? It doesn't throw an exception. The only way I found out about this was stepping through the expression.

This is the code that I'm using: public static boolean isConnected() { ConnectivityManager cm = (ConnectivityManager) getSystemService(Context.CONNECTIVITY_SERVICE); return cm.getActiveNetworkInfo().isConnectedOrConnecting(); } I've also set these permissions in the manifest file: <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE" /> This works fine in the emulator running version 1.5 of Android when 3G is enabled, but it crashes when I disable the 3G connection. My application throws a null pointer exception when I call isConnectedOrConnecting(). Hope that anyone knows the solution to this. Thanks in advance!
