Let's say i use my web user control like this: <myprefix:mytag userid="4" runat="server">Some fancy text</myprefix:mytag> How would i be able to access the text inside the tags from its codebehind? Was expecting it to be exposed through this.Text, this.Value or something similar.

  • Problem with the way the Ajax Control Toolkit tab control sets the default submit button

    - by Colin
We have a tab control containing some textboxes for doing a search. When you keypress inside one of the textboxes, the tab control sets the default button to be the button immediately following the tab control. This is fine because that's the search button. The problem occurs after the button is clicked and results returned. Now there is no default button, and keypress does nothing. Any suggestions?

  • Visual Studio Play Sound With No File Present

    - by jb
It's fairly simple to play a sound file, say temp.wav, from Visual Studio C#. I'm looking for a way to do this without temp.wav being locatable from the machine running the program. IE - I want to read the .WAV file into my solution so that it is somehow inside of my .EXE and be played by it. Is this possible?

  • jquery contains with class

    - by proee
    I'm using jQuery :contains selector to filter through some link tags. The following code works great. $('a:contains('string').each(function(i){ //do some stuff }); I'd like only run this function if the anchor tags are inside a specific class, I've tried the following but it does not appear to work: $('my_class a:contains('string').each(function(i){ //do some stuff });

I've put an aggregation between content and file. But I don't know if is necessary to put an atribute inside content to represent file. Is necessary? Thank you.

    - by Earlz
Hello, as a way to spice up my C++ programming homework, I've decided to instead of typing the C++ from the book onto my computer, instead reforming it in Ruby. Yes it's a bit silly, but I'm bored. Anyway, I'm having trouble converting this kind of function to Ruby void swap(int &a,int &b){ int c=b; b=a; a=c } What would the equivalent ruby code looking inside a function ?

  • Is it possible to virtualize war file execution without separate J2EE container deployments?

    - by Smith
Let's say I want to allow my developers to upload their war files to a web app (not the application server itself) running on our intranet and that web app would then run those wars as if they were separate apps deployed individually in our J2EE container. In other words, we are not actually deploying the wars as separate apps in the container - they are simply running side-by-side inside this one web app that acts like a J2EE container. Is that possible? Something like a war virtualization app?

  • Unable to fetch Json data from remote url

    - by user3772611
I am cracking my head to solve this thing. I am unable to fetch the JSON data from remote REST API. I need to fetch the JSOn data nd display the "html_url" field from the JSON data on my website. I saw that you need the below charset and content type for fetching JSON. <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="application/json"> </head> <body> <p>My Instruments page</p> <ul></ul> <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3/jquery.min.js"></script> <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.10.3/jquery-ui.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.0.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { alert("Inside the script"); $.getJSON(" https://pki.zendesk.com/api/v2/help_center/sections/200268985/articles.json", function (obj) { alert("Inside the getJSON"); $.each(obj, function (key, value) { $("ul").append("<li>" + value.html_url + "</li>"); }); }); }); </script> </body> </html> I referred to following example on jsfiddle http://jsfiddle.net/2xTjf/29/ The "http://date.jsontest.com" given in this example also doesn't work in my code. The first alert is pops but not the other one. I am a novice at JSON/ Jquery. i used jsonlint.com to find if it has valid JSON, it came out valid. I tested using chrome REST client too. What am I missing here ? Help me please ! Thanks in anticipation.

  • Does it make sense to have a model with only static methods?

    - by Jamie Dixon
Hey everyone, I have an ASP.NET MVC 2 project that I'm working on and I'm wondering where I should place some of my code. I currently have a UsersModel which consists of a bunch of static methods that operate against my data context. These methods include such things as: UserExistsInDatabase, UserIsRegisteredForActivity, GetUserIdFromFacebookId etc etc. Should these methods be inside a UsersModel class or would they be more suited to a user helper class outside of the models context? Cheers for any pointers.

  • How can I get access to spring container?

    - by Antony
I have a spring container running, and I have class with which I want to have access to the bean created inside spring container. The class I have is not registered with the spring container. One thing I can do is that I can use MethodInvoker to call a static method, so I will have access to static field (this would be a bean from spring container) in my class always. Do we have class like WebapplicationContextUtils for a application that is not web?

  • Command line tool in python in a fixed root directory ...

    - by koleto
I would like to install my python application as a command line tool that should work entirelly inside the install directory (for example C:\Python26\Lib\site-packages\application) The problem is I would like to reffer in runtime to the submodules and resources from within the application directory three. If I install the app with [console_scripts] option the default path is the current directory. Is there a elegant way to keep the current execution path of the application to the site-packages directory? Thanks
